My apologies if this doesn't go here. This board doesn't have a thread for this game, even though we know a lot of people here play either master duel, the tag force/world championship games or in real life. Here's some links anyway, the game is actually pretty easy to understand. >Master Duel <https://store.steampowered.com/app/1449850/YuGiOh_Master_Duel This is the official simulator, made by KONMAI itself. Very F2P friendly if you want to build a certain deck (or just buy 3 structures, also very cheap, with dragonmaid and zombie being the best ones), and recent changes have made the experience "on-rails", so just download it and give it a go. Your first purchases should be the staples: Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Maxx C, Infinite Impermanence, Called by the Grave and Crossout Designator. These go in every deck, and you need 3 of each besides Called by the Grave (2) and Crossout Designator (1) >EDO Pro <https://projectignis.github.io/download.html The best unofficial simulator bar none, really fast with updates, runs on potato computers/phones and you can customize just about everything for free. Not a lot of people playing online though, but at least it's chinese-free. Doesn't have a story/solo mode, so you just build your deck and take it online, still useful if you want to learn the ropes. >YGO Omega <https://omega.duelistsunite.org/ Botnet, bitcoin miner and takes a lot of resources, it's still an alternative as it has a lot more people playing online, however the program is notorious for using a lot of resources and the devs outright telling people to fuck off when asking if the code will ever be made public, so everyone takes it as the game mining bitcoin for them. It also needs a discord account to play online in the first place. So why even bring it up, you say? Because the UI is less of a clusterfuck than EDO, and it's less autistic if you want to play against bots, as Omega lets you duel them regardless of how many illegal cards they run, so it's a decent choice if you want to test out a certain deck before you take it online in EDO or irl before you spend all your savings on shiny cardboard only to lose to a a fellow autist who spent more on even shinier cardboard. >Other links <https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Yugipedia The only decent wiki, and the devs are still a bunch of tranny lovers, they infamously removed the "list of female monsters" after a tranny made a video about it, stating how transphobic LOL and irrelevant it was, even though there's a reason for its existence (in the anime ZEXAL there's a card, Zombiestein, that won't attack female monsters, and over time people just kept adding to that list). <https://ygoprodeck.com/ Go here to get an idea of what your deck should include, i'm not saying just copy paste someone else's build and use it, but checking out someone else's deck can give you ideas on what to run, as you probably don't remember what every single card does (there's around 30k now) and how they could benefit your deck. <https://www.tcgplayer.com/ If you ever need a card, check prices here first, as local game shops will rob you blind. If you can't buy it here because it's out of stock, your only other real choice is ebay. >Overall tips for TCG/OCG Use sleeves, dragon shield if you don't mind the price and ultrapro if you do, both are really good. Konami sleeves are trash, however they're really pretty, so only buy them if you're planning on maxing out the rarity of your cards and double sleeving them. Double sleeving is unnecessary, and even in local tournaments people will ruleshark you about it, which can lead to a DQ. So just double sleeve your favorite decks and only use them in locals against friendlies. Don't go crazy on a deck box, as long as it can hold your deck (40 to 60 main deck cards, 15 extra deck cards and 15 side deck cards), field center and a single dice it's more than enough. Unlike master duel, you don't need to buy ALL the staples, only buy what you need, unless you fancy wasting all your money on cardboard, believe it or not this game is addicting. Don't be afraid of playing online/irl against randoms, the game is played mainly by autists. Just steer clear of metafags and trannies.
It's been a month already, so i'm back with the results of my dino invoked deck. It's shit, i never opened the ideal hand, so my combos never went farther than "summon mechaba, pass" or "summon UCT, often the hard way, pass", as expected of someone who picked up a new deck, tried to mix it with a deck he already knows, and then clumsily tried to play both at the same time. For this week i decided to flat out drop the invoked part and just focus on dinosaurs, i learned a lot from more experienced players and from just testing random hands in EDO, for example: >linkuriboh and secure gardna are an absolute necessity >generic level 8 synchros aren't worth it, it's better to fill it with staples or R4NK >the deck has a lot of 2-card combos, several of which end up on apollousa/avramaxx, borreload, naturia and UCT >true king package (1-2 lithosagym and 1 diagram) which i disregarded completely before, is actually a very important part of the deck, as both cards can trigger any baby/petit on hand >lost world and scrap raptor alone can end on borreload, apollousa/avramaxx and UCT To be honest i'm liking this deck a lot more than i thought i would, but i'm still not sure if i should spend more than a few dollars on it. I'm definitely adding the true king package though, maybe i'll even replace the doodle beast package with the dinomorphia one since it's just as cheap and rexterm is free if i drew lost world on top of my ideal 2-card combo: >do the usual dino scrap naturia lines >when wyvern has to pop a card, instead of popping baby to bring out petit, i target the token instead >replace the token with petit >petit summons therizia >therizia sets frenzy >go through the entire combo right until it's time to go for avramaxx (apollousa doesn't get her full 3-4 negates due to lost world) >since i have an extra body in the form of therizia, i can xyz summon emeral (or dugares, but emeral can recycle 3 cards, and if i drew the other therizia i absolutely need to send one back to the deck) to draw a card >if need be, summon unicorn first with wyvern and gallant, then avramaxx with unicorn and emeral >end on avramaxx, borreload with 2-3 counters, naturia beast, UCT and frenzy >use my negates wisely >if the opponent still manages to play past them, i flip frenzy to send therizia and kentregina to the GY and summon rexterm >rexterm is a 3k ATK skill drain that summons another egg token to their field (if they didn't get rid of lost world first) Unfortunately if i were to use rexterm as UCT's tribute i can't bring back kentregina from the GY since she wasn't special summoned properly, not that it'd be worth it since she'd just be a 2k effectless monster. I wanted to replace avramaxx with linkmail archfiend too, but a ton of decks have no way to get rid of him and lost world offers better protection (targeting from card effects as opposed to just targeting from monster effects, and archfiend only protects ED monsters). Pic attached is what i took to locals today, though the dinomorphia, true king and pots were borrowed.

(3.30 MB 1920x1080 drillygnathus.png)

I had horrible luck last saturday; i drew both therizias a lot, didn't draw a true king card even once and a lot of my hands were nothing but spell cards and babies (the level 2 ones), but i was so stubborn i kept all those bricks instead of adding actually useful cards like ash, imperm, called and duster simply because i wanted to see how rexterm would fare against other decks and witness first hand how it feels to rip 3 cards out of someone's extra deck. It never happened, however i did learn a lot more about dinos. I've been sleeping a lot on xeno meteorus, even without ground xeno it can still carry its own weight, even if that means adding 3-4 potential bricks in the deck (2-3 xeno, 1 frostosaurus). As for how it's useful, it's basically a free body whenever you draw it, but it's not just apollousa fodder, he can actually do some very important things: -If they stopped my combo early (ash on wyvern) i can simply pop the baby with xeno, and i get level 4 and a level 6 out of it, this locks me into four monster types, but i can still end turn on either wyvern, UCT, dolkka/laggia and solda/lars, or wyvern, UCT, borreload with a single counter and solda/lars. Not terribly impressive, but not bad in the slightest. -Being a level 6 tuner makes him able to summon baronne with any level 4 if i didn't lock myself that is, and baronne in turn can shuffle herself back into the deck after using her negate to bring out xeno meteorus or any other level 9 or lower monster, like a baby/petit or even pankratops. -The scrap raptor+lost world combo that ended in laggia/dolkka/borreload, 2-3 negate apollousa/avramaxx and UCT? If i drew xeno as well i can add a lars/solda to it. Something else i learned is that giving borreload more than 2 counters is basically useless, he never needs more than 2, he sometimes doesn't even get to spend those 2. So i replaced unicorn with masquerena, as an avramaxx summoned off her can become nigh indestructible, very few decks can deal with this thing without running kaijus. It's a shame that the transcendosaurus cards are mediocre despite looking awesome, being retrains of old dinosaur cards and having a cool playstyle (they're basically complements to the tried-and-true dino scrap combo and good tributes for UCT). -Gigantozowler isn't half bad for OTK'ing and doing big brain plays (summon it on your turn to recycle a petit, end turn, destroy it with UCT, summon it back with its own effect to pop an opponent's card and your own petit to summon pankratops, then recycle another dino), but for that you need to either hard draw frostosaurus, have a very specific hand (any combination of your 2 card combo, ground xeno and either another baby or fossil dig) or lock yourself for the turn, and 9 times out of 10 you're better off summoning baronne or lars instead. -Glaciasaurus is probably the second worst one, battle protection doesn't mean shit these days, and if you destroy it then summon it back it gains total immunity to being targeted and destroyed by card effects, but it's just a 3.6k ATK nigh unbeatable beatstick. -Drillygnathus is an interesting card, dealing piercing damage as long as it has no materials is a nod to the old days of using pentestag to do the same with UCT probably? the traptrix structure had a nod to H.A.T., but the other effect is weird, basically the card wants to be a beatstick and extender that doesn't need you to summon rex at the end of the scrap combo (there's no space in the board for him to come back when banished anyway), as it can summon misc with his effect, this means you can run the dinomorphia package over the naturia one and end in pic related, which is insane. What's the issue with this? It also needs the aforementioned specific hand. And there's no guarantee he'll make it to the next turn for you to make use of the piercing effect, and you can't hold off on summoning it because it's a trigger effect. -Exaraptor was really close to being good, and i'm talking good enough for you to lock yourself early since he special summons from hand and lets you draw a card just by going through the motions, but his arrows just had to point to the sides and upwards instead of downwards. Summoning it on your turn, destroying it then summoning it back does allow you to finally put his effects to good use (since he doesn't have to be summoned to the link zone), but being basically unusable in the first turn makes him the absolute worst one. It could have been the extra deck extender/boss monster that dinosaurs desperately need, and konami just said no way fag. See the pics attached for the boards that gigantozowler and drillygnathus can theoretically put out, lets hope they fix this archetype in the future because it has a lot of potential.

Fire's been doing a lot better recently and Oil is pretty much just a generic recursion for fire monsters that nets you ash blossom anytime you want. Smol Goddess is interesting but gimmicky I hope it doesn't activate and it's just a continuous effect like Underworld Goddess of the closed world.
Rank 4 sharks/Utopia support.

Turned out Deformer is a good synchro7 spam engine. I hate yusei so I won’t use that gather light for free pop 1 each 2 turns though. AG Devil is the only one who can attack through player1 stall. P1 have Meluseek ready to picking up p2 board but that C&D redirect attack to Microscope. Clausolas ready to destroy it by battle, but ancient battle trap. I believe p2 might be out of deck next turn but manage to win effect damage.

Majong-themed dragons that double as fire dragon support that surprisingly have little support. Gonna post Melodious support later that fixes most of their problems.

In the latest news, Konami has a new animation studio to create their own original animated works now. There's a trailer promo showcasing the potential of what they can do. It's unknown if there's going to be individual anime based on the archetypes as nothing's been revealed for now. https://yt.drgnz.club/watch?v=LSs4mBRy7nk

Thanks to these 2 new cards, dinosaurs now have two ways to (almost) completely lock the opponent out of using spell cards, or if you don't want to use a floodgate you can also just set lost world directly from the deck. They also give budget builds like mine access to shorter combos that still end in UCT and at least one negate (evolzar lars in this case), and to cards like baronne and gigantozowler without having to spend $100 on a ground xeno playset. Watch the videos attached to see how the new combos work, it's nothing like the old scrap combo, but it's much, much shorter and has a similar payoff while having essentially no chokepoint besides miscellaneosaurus banishing itself in the GY, the secret village line also has the benefit of summoning a pankratops for absolutely free by destroying gigantozowler with UCT, and if dharc gets destroyed he adds an oviraptor to hand. Lastly there's this other combo which makes use of both the scrap and naturia packages, is longer and ends in... another kind of all-negate board. I wouldn't say it's better than the old one, seeing as baronne is single use (apollousa gets two negates even with lost world active), but if both her and cross sheep survive the turn it has this cool interaction where you can shuffle her back to the ED, summon horned saurus from the GY and then summon scrap raptor off cross sheep's effect to synchro into baronne again (or summon borrelsword/accesscode). If you don't need borreload savage OR you don't want to run 3 scrap raptor you can do a few things with cross sheep and those 2 extra bodies, like summon apollousa, dolkka, laggia or abyss dweller, you can also summon frostosaurus off the second petit to summon gigantozowler. Horned saurus isn't just a level 6 that sets a field spell from the deck by the way, his other effect gives you another normal summon, which will be more useful once a worthwhile link-2/link-3 comes out (you can technically summon BLS soldier of chaos with this combo, but it specifically requires you to both run 3 scrap raptor and open 1 of them every single time, and BLS isn't quite a "towers" type of monster like avramaxx is) or little knight gets cheaper (she only needs 2 monsters, unlike masquerena which specifies non-links). It's a decent "no fun allowed" endboard, but it has even more chokepoints than regular dino scrap, so you're just asking for the opponent to ash/impermanence your shit. Not posting a deck profile this time, i haven't taken the deck to locals yet, so i'm still not sure if dharc and gigantozowler are taking gallant and naturia's spots. Giant rex has definitely been replaced however, even if you don't run polymerization he does the exact same thing ie summon itself when banished.
Generic Card type support incoming. Fungi's a Thunder's card in all but name, Pendulum's Diabellestar support that's somewhat serviceable but nothing too noteworthy, DPA Jeanne d'moore's got viability in Mathmech and is pretty good overall for any cyberse archetype that can tech synchros, Phoboscobos is a generic negate for illusions if nothing else, and the last card's a gimick that could serve as an option for Rikka and sunvine but it's a link -5 but that's about it so far.
With the new gimmick puppet support coming next year, i won't be buying any more cards for it, the way it plays now is radically different from before. It's actually a great deck now, either it FTK's you right away or nearly kills you then waits for you to special summon something big to finish burning you to death, this is not only incredibly consistent, but also very safe due to all the protection it gets from the field and terror baby. And your opponent can't even break your board with generic stuff, it has to be either spells, evenly (and you can run regulus for that, the gimmick puppet lock is for the extra deck only), or XYZ monsters. >you opened the field or terraforming Congrats, you can FTK safely. If you get handtrapped (only possible with droll, veiler and imperm) you can go for the double dark strings or dark strings+disaster leo instead. >you opened soldiers You're vulnerable to ash, but if you manage to get terror baby in the GY you can still pull off the FTK safely. And you run 3 bisque doll, 3 condolence puppet and 1 foolish burial exactly for that. Even if kevin jewart rarity bumps or shortprints the fuck out of the support, you bet your ass i will be playing it, i'm literally the only guy at my lgs who even knew the deck existed until the new support got announced, and now everyone rushed to buy playsets in anticipation (bisque doll, condolence puppet and chimera doll were the top 3 most sold cards in both tcgplayer and cardmarket for a while), luckily i had everything already, but i missed my chance to foil it out. Forgive me for rambling, but this is a dream come true, whoever made the support overtuned the hell out of it because it's insanely good and fits the user (IV) like a glove. -Gimmick puppet was (and is) incredibly xenophobic, now you no longer want even the generic machine, rank 8 or XYZ stuff. -It relied on opening any combination of bisque/humpty/dreary/machine dupe/gearspring spirit, now it has 6 one card starters (bloody doll, soldiers, mansion, condolence puppet, terraforming, foolish burial). -The deck was all about going second, breaking boards and swinging for game with 5k+ beatsticks, if that wasn't enough you still had regulus and zeus to survive another turn. Now it burns you to death no matter what. -In the anime IV was a sadistic man who charmed people into lowering their guards so he could torture their monsters, he eventually redeemed himself and this lead to some of the most goated duels in all of ZEXAL, but his goal always remained the same, giving their opponent a show (which he called fanservice). The field references this by looking like a normal mansion, dreary doll even reaches out to you with a smile, but if you enter it you get fanserviced to death. -The new XYZ monsters are literally IV, wild hair and all, fantasix depicts his iconic pose and recycles argent chaos force (a card his brother made and that he indeed recycled twice), fanatix can summon monsters (from either GY) to the opponent's field so he can torture them just like he did in the anime with baby face and giant grinder. And their stats reference his name (1500 ATK/DEF and 3100 DEF/ATK, I and V and 3+1, get it?) -The new trap depicts his 2v1 duel. -Disaster leo's massive 4k burn got nerfed in the card game, but his alternate win condition (end the turn when your opponent has 2000 LP or less to win) is now not only possible, but the second best way to win if you get handtrapped. I genuinely can't believe this is real, it wouldn't be the first time i wake up, turn on my computer and find out one of my favorite archetypes got new support, only to wake up for real and find out it was all a dream it has happened many, many times before, the most recent being 2 months ago with nemleria, the dream falls apart the moment i try to actually read the cards to gauge how good the support is.

I can't believe this thread is deader than the one in cuckchan's /tg/. Did your decks survive the banlist? My dinosaurs didn't, right now i'm coping with 1 less petit, max copies of archosaur, raptor and lost world, and almiraj over linkuriboh, but the deck just feels brickier, i might have to shelve it until we get a ground xeno reprint. Banning baronne and borreload savage shortly after making them affordable was a complete dick move however, i understand that no generic negates means a higher chance to actually break a board with a board breaker, but if they were going to do something so drastic they should have gone nuclear and banned apollousa as well, snake-eyes wasn't even running synchro shit anymore and linkuriboh's loss just meant one less interaction, they can still send their pooplar to grave with anima. Not sure what i should play now, probably shaddoll? I've already got my invoked stuff, the dogmatika cards i'm missing (ecclesia and nadir) are much cheaper now, so it'd just be a matter of grabbing those and maybe a millennium eyes restrict.
>>1185 >Not sure what i should play now, probably shaddoll? What's your strategy? >spoiler Anon this board has had less than 1200 posts in a few years, I'm not sure what you were expecting.
Any wrong ruling that’s been poisoning your mind for years? For me at first I thought monster revived/summoned by Tour Guide/Motivating Captain/Debris Dragon can use their eff again in gy. Then for years somehow I thought they are still negated. Only this week after watching MD replies that I questioned it. Probably in past I look up for something related to https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Wicked_Rebirth where monster revived by it can use their eff again even when they left field. Or maybe I conflate it with effect that got Veilered but move zone?

>>1186 I was going to play a standard shaddoll invoked dogmatika deck (with 3 super poly and targets for it), but it's incredibly slow these days so i thought about finally building the zombie synchro deck i've always wanted to try irl, guess which archetype (series?) got support last week? And it's really good too, instead of fusing garura with ghost fusion i just fuse the new card and get an extra normal summon instead of a draw, which is better because my build relies on 2-card combos (ze amin alone is full combo technically, but i don't want to normal it, which is why i run emergency teleport at 3). I really should have bought it when it was cheap. I'm eyeing a chimera deck now, i can get a basic core for $30-ish (everything but the fusion that handrips, see pic related) and i'll just buy proxies for everything else, i could just proxy the entire deck but funnily enough making a quality proxy of a sub-$5 card is more expensive than buying a legit one. If guardian chimera ends up being cheap enough i'll buy the reprint instead. I'm not the best at deck building but i've been testing this out for quite a bit and it's pretty solid, i'm not used to 1 card combos so it's weird seeing my coatl/mirror get handtrapped and still have ways to get to a full board. The deck is so consistent i don't need draw power at all, so i replaced the 3 prosperity i run in pretty much every deck with 3 nibiru since very few decks can get out a monster/omni negate before the 5th summon. Once we get the INFO cards i'll be able to link off any two monsters into the illusion link to have a special summon negate (azurune) on the opponent's turn on top of floodgating them with barrier statue. The illusion xyz is also amazing (quick effect targeted negate+monster steal if it battles) but getting two level 4's on the field is ironically pretty hard to do in this deck. I'm honestly liking it so much i want to build it in master duel as well, i have a shitty labrynth deck i've used only like 5 times ready to dismantle, 3k gems i had 8k but i spent 5k in the horus pack for absolutely no reason, none of my decks benefit from it, good thing i got something like 16 URs out of it and 300+ UR dust, if i finish both events i can scrounge up another 2k so i'll spend those 5k in the chimera pack and craft the rest.

Does anyone play Dlink? If so anyone figured how yo use the new Light and Darkness dragonlord there?

[Expand Post] This is probably getting gateway banned for good or many of the sixsam cards errata'd to be HOPT. Was it the board owner who liked this archetype or was it another dude?
>>1199 Former BO here. I fucking love six sam and these cards are making me very happy. Just having more synchro monsters outside of Shi en is already great but all this searching is also good. One of them is just a re print of shi en but that is fine. I really hope gateway doesn't get banned. Please konami let me have fun.
>>1200 Isn't that card a bit too slow for the current game at the moment?
>>1201 I wouldn't know. I am not a very competitive player. It is currently limited though which I think is perfectly fine.

Behold my newest creation, albaz invoked dogmatika shaddoll or A.I.D.S. for short, it's a fusion pile that doesn't have a specific game plan, your end board depends entirely on your hand, if you draw ALL of the good cards you must choose which ones to resolve (branded fusion locks into fusion, so no aleister into artemis, no cross-sheep and no apollousa), sadly you can't just shit out all your boss monsters. I don't go above 40 cards because i genuinely can't. >could add 3 super poly but i only run 1 target that i might need to send with nadir because it's all i can do, making it a completely dead card >need every single extra deck piece, so no prosperity >gambling with allure can completely fuck me over >spellbook of knowledge is just bad >only a few hand traps and no board breakers because the deck bricks a lot >no shaddoll fusion because i don't need to fuse anything shaddoll besides winda (with schism) >no triple tactics talent because drawing into certain cards (quem or cartesia) is a death sentence So what boards can this monster put out? >aleister pass >meltdown pass >ecclesia pass >squamata pass >wendi pass >empty board pass >mechaba >dragoon >mirrorjade >maximus and schism with granguignol in GY (can summon luluwalilith) >mechaba and dragoon >mechaba and mirrorjade >dragoon and caliga >apollousa, mechaba, raidjin and schism with granguignol in GY Most of the time i get ash'd on meltdown or terraforming, but to be fair those are also deliberate hand trap magnets, otherwise i would've cut aleister and invocation to 1. This might seem like a random list, but it actually has some thought put into it, those 2 nibiru are there as crossout targets and because the deck bricks a lot on spells (or just gets hand trapped), so passing on a empty board with the rock and another hand trap in hand is not a bad play. I don't play a fusion substitute like hex-sealed because if i'm gonna summon dragoon i might as well get the full effect. If i had s:p little knight i would absolutely cut raidjin (and every single shaddoll card but schism, apkallone and winda) to add her, but it's a $100+ card so fuck that. This is still a work in progress, i own most of the cards in this list, but quem (and probably luluwalilith) won't be cheap until next month, so for now this is only seeing play in EDO. Sadly the deck is a total brick fest only really fit for the "fun" table at locals, but to be fair it's not like i'm expecting a lot out of it, i'm mostly playing it for the name after all.
>>1210 Man I can never figure out modern yu-gi-oh decks. Its like I can almost understand some individual cards but I can never reason out which ones go together. Even harder to reason out why they go together. Can you just like give me a breakdown of what you're summoning and why?

>>1210 After a bit of testing i decided to cut ecclesia in favor of foolish burial, i only ran her because she's a stone wall of sorts if i only have nadir, but they always just ash my spell and i'm left with an empty field anyways, i'd rather have the option to send whatever i need to the grave. >>1211 It's a fusion pile, most of the stuff here has synergy in the sense that only 2 cards (nadir servant and branded fusion) lock you into or out of fusions. Here's a basic combo with aleister the invoker and branded fusion: >normal summon aleister, add invocation >link him away for artemis OR just leave him there (depends on which monsters you want to summon, mechaba and mirrorjade or mechaba and dragoon) >branded fusion sends albaz and dark magician from deck/hand to grave to fuse lubellion (if you have either or both in hand, send one and keep the other to pay the discard cost of lubellion, it needs albaz and a DARK monster so you can send squamata and trigger his effect) >lubellion fuses by shuffling cards from banish, grave and field back to the deck, you can fuse mirrorjade or dragoon >if you want mechaba and dragoon you need to fuse albaz and dark magician into dragoon, then aleister and lubellion into mechaba (because you locked yourself out of links, and lubellion conveniently is a LIGHT monster) >if you want mechaba and mirrorjade you link aleister into artemis at the start of the combo, then fuse lubellion and albaz into mirrorjade Again, most of the combos depend entirely on your hand, so assuming i didn't brick on spells i never go for the usual boss monster, this is what i love about jank decks like these, there isn't a optimal way to play them.

New ban list.
>>1218 Some thoughts. >apollousa This kills a fuckton of low tier decks, there is literally no good replacement going first outside of i:p into unicorn/s:p, but i:p is also on the chopping block and once s:p becomes affordable she will be next. >beatrice I completely understand why she was banned, but it sucks that i didn't get to build my zombie deck before she got the boot. >calamity Good riddance. >lacrima >opening Real hits? What the fuck is this? >snake-eye Literally doesn't matter, and it'll be even more of a meme hit once we get azamina. >gimmick puppet >prosperity That was to be expected, GP simply doesn't allow you to play before it kills you and prosperity is just too good. I'm surprised they didn't limit crossout too. >branded fusion Damn, that's another card i didn't even get to test at locals. >skill drain Fucking finally, literally no one likes playing against stun. I have no idea what to play now, apollousa and prosperity were very important to my dinosaurs and there's no good replacement for either. Before the RC reprints i used to run avramaxx, but a towers isn't what this deck needs so i guess i'll have to drop the deck for now, but the only other competitive deck i own is gimmick puppet, which also got hit. I was cooking this >>1210 pile of shit but even that isn't viable anymore. I guess it's time to go back to traptrix.

I'm shelving gimmick puppet until the horus reprints or fiendish knight come out. I can still do the FTK, but doing so without the field spell means i need a 2-card combo while being even more vulnerable to handtraps than before. The deck was a total meme before the hits, now it's genuinely bad. It was good while it lasted i guess.
(237.83 KB 926x680 shaddoll invoked dogmatika.jpg)

I finally had some free time to go buy the cards i needed to finish my shaddoll deck, i didn't realize it was pointless until after i bought them. Turns out apollousa was important to this deck, as shaddoll's sole negate honestly sucks (it has a real cost!) and the bodies this specific build can put out can't really be used for anything else. Still, this is what i came up with. The ideal combo goes like this (2 card combo by the way): >normal summon aleister, add invocation >target it with shadow's light, summon quem from deck, quem dumps cartesia >link aleister into artemis, which summons cartesia with quem's second effect >link artemis and quem into cross-sheep >fuse mechaba by banishing aleister and artemis, but don't summon it to any of sheep's arrows (i do this because he comes out on exactly the 5th special summon, which matters because nibiru is a thing), summon it right below the extra zone you're using (VERY IMPORTANT) >banish shadow's light to get another normal summon for a LIGHT/DARK monster, use invocation's GY effect to return aleister to hand >normal summon aleister and add invocation, again >use cartesia's quick effect to fuse granguignol to one of sheep's arrows using aleister and herself >dump apkallone with granguignol's effect, add schism with apkallone's GY effect This is where the 3 squamata's come up, if you drew one you can use it as apkallone's discard cost to then send beast from deck and draw a card while keeping 3 shaddolls in grave, if you didn't then toss whatever, but the end board will be weaker. >sheep's effect summons quem/cartesia from GY If there were any good generic synchro 12 monsters that only needed 1 tuner besides luluwalilith (which i run, but will summon with granguignol's GY effect) i would go for a different combo, but for now this is the best i can come up with. The deck sadly does not vomit enough bodies to go for riskier plays to end up with gryphon, mechaba, chaos angel, caliga and winda (i'm one body short in fact). >sheep + aleister + quem = gryphon >fuse caliga using aleister and squamata/beast (only if you drew squamata) >set schism, pass >shotgun schism to summon winda banishing apkallone and squamata/beast/aleister Knightmare gryphon locks EVERYONE out of activating the effects of special summoned monsters unless they're linked to it, but here's the thing, mechaba is linked and both winda and caliga don't activate their effects, they're continuous. The opponent can normal summon whatever, wherever, and trigger its effect, but his first special summon will have to be right on top of gryphon or it'll get negated. But even if he triggers its effect it'll either get negated + banished by mechaba then floodgated by winda/caliga or just floodgated by winda/caliga. The board gets dismantled by any board breaker, sure, but if the opponent doesn't run any or just doesn't draw them then they might as well scoop. Floodgates are gay as all fuck, but this is genuinely the best i could come up with not that the previous build's end board (3 negate apollousa, mechaba, winda and caliga) was any better and the deck sucks to begin with, both quem and cartesia are bricks and any handtrap will fuck me over unless i also draw crossout, i'm not too keen on running super poly either, it helps going second but it's a total brick going first. Luckily i'll have two whole days to test this out at locals.
I just now read the newest OCG banlist and the responses from TCG players and well... I HATE THE TCG PLAYERBASE I HATE THE TCG PLAYERBASE I HATE THE TCG PLAYERBASE Please tell me I'm not alone in thinking the hardcore TCG competitive scene is cancer that cannot honestly debate the state of the game without forcing their opinions and biases on everyone. Reading any debate featuring Maxx C is rage inducing to me at this point.
