Hey. This is the furry board. We'll see how this goes, alright? Sister-Wives of /fur/: 【Comfy】|【Vidya B】|【Fast】|【404- RIP】|【Trash】|【Humanoid Girls】|【Benis】

Good evening. NIGHTGAUNT##3QYM4L 05/05/2020 (Tue) 14:28:37 No. 1
Sup. This is the 8chan.se furry board. We will do our best to make your browsing experience enjoyable.
Why has this board barely benefitted from 4chan being kill? Have all the furrchads moved to /trash/ instead?
>>12438 this >>12422 and most of /trash/'s anthro appreciators don't consider themselves furries
>>12438 furries don't use imageboards anymore, everyone moved onto telegram and matrix en masse. the ones left only want places to find porn at.
>>12467 Not true, /trash/ has plenty of furries posting in it.

>>1 Part of your CSS isn't fully functional, I fixed it for you form.modalForm { background-image: url(/.media/109b2667503eb80ac635b65da6aef0b2c0ac5f11ce3b391630fe48a24331af03.jpg); float: right; height: 300px; width: 300px; /* Add position if bottom is needed */ position: relative; /* or absolute */ bottom: 0; background-size: cover; /* optional: makes image cover the form area */ background-repeat: no-repeat; /* optional */ }
>>12669 Oh so that's how you make that work. It's been that way for a couple of years, since a Christmas update but I never could make it work quite right so it never got changed except for at Halloween. I guess I'll have to start changing up that background as well every theme change. Thanks anon.

>>12670 You're welcome, greetings from >>>/rwby/ As an aside, for the background to change without you needing to reupload CSS, you just need the appropriate code for a toggle button. Example: /* Default style */ body { margin: 0; font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif; background: url('https://example.com/bg1.jpg') no-repeat center center fixed; background-size: cover; transition: background-image 0.5s ease-in-out; color: white; } /* Hidden checkbox toggle mechanism */ #bgToggle:checked ~ body { background: url('https://example.com/bg2.jpg') no-repeat center center fixed; background-size: cover; } /* Toggle button style */ .toggle-btn { position: fixed; top: 10px; right: 10px; padding: 6px 12px; background: rgba(0,0,0,0.6); color: white; cursor: pointer; border: 1px solid #888; z-index: 1000; } /* Content styling */ .content { padding: 2em; } >Replace https://example.com/bg1.jpg and bg2.jpg with your real image URLs. >#bgToggle is a hidden checkbox. When it’s checked, it triggers a style change. >Because the :checked selector affects siblings only, make sure body is styled via the body tag outside the CSS scope of the checkbox’s influence. Alternatively use <div class="background"> for more control: If the targeting body doesn’t work cleanly, you can wrap your content in a .background <div> and target that instead. This isn't a fully functional code, just a basic for you to use as a reference.
Well it's overwhelmingly summer now so I'm thinking about making a change. Please everyone submit any ideas that you might want to see or post backgrounds or other elements to >>>/res/ doesn't even necessarily even have to be to the fur thread there. Remember if it's lewdish to spoiler it. >>12681 Oh this is actually something that I've been wondering about. I was under the impression that it required a JS addition to make a toggle work and that has to be manually whitelisted by the admins and they're in the weeds 95% of the time dealing with actual problems or their own site plans. Another thing is there any way to alter the background via the current board time instead of a toggle? That would tie right into something I've been considering.
>>12689 Time based toggling is JS, CSS has no real way to connect to real time calendars/time.
>>12692 I was afraid of that although I was hoping there was some existing preexisting time stamp somewhere that a CSS could pull a digit from.

Summer is cumming... --- The sun on his cap lacks readability at that resolution. I'll have to change it. It makes him look like he sexually identifies as a color graphics adapter.

>>12805 I fucking hate summer. Worst season ever 0/10 wouldn't live through it again.
>>12852 Yeah. Fuck summer, delete summer
>>12852 >>12859 Ironically summer has impeded my ability to fiddle with a summer css. I think I'm going to have to work on it in stages.
I'm guessing this is the closest this board has to a meta thread, so I'll just drop in to say there's a new board that could use some love and attention. Basically /monster/ if the anons didn't sperg out about anthro and "muh snouts!" Give it a look and a post. https://8chan.moe/humanoid/

>>12852 >>12867 >>12859 One trick I've learned for dealing with heat is stuffing a bottle/jar of cold water down my pants. When my testes overheat, my entire body feels like it's burning up, no matter how well sweat is keeping it cool. Don't do it in public, but give it a try. You might be surprised. I actually learned about this from a webcomic, pic related.
Critique on BG scene? I'm not sure how to make the sand look better any ideas? I'll probably also incorporate >>12681 in some way too eventually. Can I use a similar thing to alter body colors as well? --- I'm also strongly considering a boardwalk or something in about the same style, resolution, and perspective as /fur/'s normal floor background element. I'm having a bit of a trouble finding anything suitable though. I'm working on the background before I move on to post colors and formatting. ---- Considering a different colored N8. This one's more of a night scene one. I'll use both if i can ever get the toggle thing working.

/b/ has a new BO, desu. Come yiff, yiff on /b/, /fur/.
I'm really liking the new CSS. A few things could still be tweaked, maybe a few more color changes and removing the battletoads, but the background is very nice.
>>12919 >I'm really liking the new CSS. Thanks. I've wanted to try something like this for summertime for a while. > A few things could still be tweaked >and removing the battletoads Oh it's not even close to done. I've got some ideas for the post cells and colors but I've not had time to think with the heat. And it's going to take a bit of work since I was considering doing a vaporwavish or seapunkis kind of color scheme based of the Win 95 theme (see images for my inspiration) but I'm having some trouble tweaking that CSS because it's way more complex than /fur/'s is. Trying to figure out how to make the OP post cell consistent is proving to be a pain in the ass. .opHead, .postInfo #divThreads .uploadDetails, #divPosts .uploadDetails, .opUploadPanel { display: flex; } This seems to be the offending passage but just removing it only half solves it and it breaks subsequent post elements a bit.
Also these. ---- Temporary change has been made to remove toad yiiking out. Thanks >>>/tikilounge/ ----- HELLO I would like some feedback about visibility. I'm not sure if I like black text to be honest but I'm not sire if I and get white to work. May need to change font. Yes I know some of the special format tests are readable at the moment. ----- Is this too bright? It feels too bright. I'll leave this up for at least 12-24 hours for feedback. ------ Think I'm probably going to go with the Amiga look >>12921 but I'll leave this up anyway for the the next little while.

While you're at it try this one on for size too. It's not finished at all but I think I like where it's headed. I need a void to scream in, and this seems like as good a place as any. My former cat fucking died this morning. Left the cat with someone I felt needed him more and had demonstrated good judgement and care with animals.prior. He died for such a bullshit fucking reason. Not some unforeseen disease or fighting some neighborhood animal or even getting run over by a car, but fucking alcohol poisoning It pisses me off so fucking much, and it pisses me off even more that during the call I was getting this news, I had to bottle up all these feelings and console the fuck that let this shit happen. I'm so fucking mad bros. Sorry for blogposting here. Thanks for being an anonymous zone. Feel free to remove this post tbqh. Here's a Doodle to compensate.
>>12951 That's fucking horrible anon, I'm so sorry. I had a cat that died because of overmedication that the emergency vet I took him too prescribed. I'm still sick about that. Your situation sounds even worse. fyi we've got a lounge thread for general OT posting if you ever need a place to vent. >>6679
>>12954 thanks for making me feel heard. I'll take any future void-screaming to the Lounge
Progress has been made. I've been trying to steal elements from Win95 CSS to make posts and other elements look like windows but I've not been super successful figuring out how things are working. Just consider that everything is in flux and might change so please speak up if you really like something or really hate it. Well it's at least more summer/tropical looking anyway. --- Experimenting with title fonts/colors Reverted because I broke formatting. >>12955 No problem anon.

TRYING THIS AGAIN Please tell me how much you hate it anons. --- This text is not really doing it for me. I'm going to have to switch it I think. I'll leave it for various label text though. - - - I'll replace it with a computer text that's a little easier on the eyes. Ideally a retro looking one. I'll have to go through and add it to all the label and title elements. ----- More improvements. I haven't settled on the Win95 font or the TI-86 font for posts, but this looks better. (((Echo text))) will change but will reappear elsewhere. ///Sloped text\\\ will stay I think but the color will be modified, probably. - - - - Also red text needs adjusting.

>>13006 What would everyone think if I opted for a more "sunset" version of the theme? Would that be a bit easier on the eyes? I never fully completed the CSS anyway and got distracted by summer and right now it's like 3 different ideas that never came together and jelled. I fucking love this, anon >>13054 best laugh I had all week. ---- Is the Teal OK? I kind of like it. Does it need to be darkened or muted? I'll try to redo or remove the Amiga stuff. I agree it's a bit much. ----- In progress... BETTER? Please respondu ------ You know what I think I'm keeping Amiga for OP style. Let me know how everyone feels about the teal on the other posts. Or should I use the sky colors as a gradient? I could go either way. ------- CUB BEACH PARTY WOOOO WOOOO! --------- Summer is almost over. A change is in the wind...
