Welcome to /fast/, 8chan's Sonic the Hedgehog discussion board. >What is this place? This place was created in the 2014 4chan exodus to serve as a place for anons of 4chan's Sonic the Hedgehog General (/sthg/) to migrate to. Back then it didn't have a lot of success, so it remained as a backup place for /sthg/ in times of 4chan outages. Right now some of us are trying to repurpose it into an alternative to the original general. Since we're currently few here, we're mostly staying in a general thread where everything goes to make the posting seem faster (instead of having many threads with very few posts each). I'm sure you'll find the current one below, and in its OP you'll find updated resources and news. There is no doubt that the sequel to Sonic Frontiers is in development, as Morio Kishimoto has mentioned it multiple times on his Xitter account. We don’t know much about this title, as it hasn’t been officially announced yet. Our ideas about Frontiers 2 can only be based on the first game’s vision, developer interviews, Kishimoto’s Xitter posts, and a few 4cuck leaks which are probably fake. >What do we want to see in Sonic Frontiers 2? >How should the sequel improve upon the original game? >What shouldn’t be in the sequel? >What could be its vision and design philosophy?

One thing I liked about Frontiers over other boost games is you can't boost through enemies. Ducking and weaving around enemies in frontiers is way more satisfying than holding down the boost button.
>>42654 Same. The boost in Frontiers also works differently in that it doesn't move you forward when on the ground unless you're holding a direction. It isn't really the same mechanic as Unleashed, it's almost entirely different, and I feel like a lot of people ignore this. I also like how you can Homing Attack without jumping first.
The Cyclone would have made more sense as a 100% completion reward in Frontiers. If they bring it back for Frontiers 2, I hope it's not so overpowered.

I started playing Frontiers Revisited (Kronos). I don't know why it made me play through the tutorial area that has barely any changed, but after that it becomes more interesting. I like the expanded Cyberspace stages, and the open zone seems more challenging. They tried to recreate classic/Adventure style item boxes and elemental shield, which is a neat detail that I like seeing, but I don't know how much it adds. Instead of the overpowered Spin Dash (maybe it can be unlocked like in the base game) there is a dedicated roll button. I don't know why they kept the Drop Dash, it seems so redundant now. The controls are an issue though. I find it hard to get Sonic to go where I want, it doesn't feel very precise. Maybe I just need to get used to them
I have a better understanding of the controls now. The open zone level design feels a lot more polished than anything in the original game. The progression collectable requirements are so high, I feel like I'm making next to no progress.
In the original game there are no stages that have Silver Moon Rings, Number Rings, and also have checkpoints. I completed a stage after getting them, but after restarting from a checkpoint. The interface said I had them but when the stage was completed it said I didn't. I guess they just never programmed it into the game since this scenario couldn't happen in the original game.

Nice chapter. It's not what I expected, I thought they would introduce Knuckles or another game character, but instead it's a fully original one off adventure, which I like actually. I'm a little disappointed Tails didn't go with them, but I still enjoyed it

What is with the amount of trannies in the Sonic Community? Like what's the deal? I get the autism and call but what's with the explosion of transgenders? They're in your Discord servers. They're maybe even moderating them now. They're in various mods (first Unleashed recompile mod was the Trans Fem mod). They're running your fan events, running your websites, surrounding themselves with staff that are of their own kind, kicking out anyone who disagrees with their agenda, and banning Twitter links whilst encouraging Bluesky posting. What can we do about it? What is the solution to it all? Can we start to (respectfully) call it out and stop the rampant pink pilling and conversions from taking place before it gets far worse?

Yeah, but nerds who would argue about it online would surely be overrepresented among Dreamcast owners. I've been arguing with people who only played the Adventure games on the Gamecube or later since those versions first came out. I had a Dreamcast and the original games. And there are of course other factors. One is that Sonic Adventure came out in 1998/1999, and comparing it on a technical level to games from that era is very different than making the same comparison to games from 2003. The other is that even with Sonic Adventure 2, which got its port much closer to its original release date, you're dealing with Sega fans, who naturally are going to be more inclined to be Sonic fans (and fans of Sonic Adventure 1), whereas with the other releases you're dealing with Nintendo fans who likely do not have the same affinity to all the things that the fans like about the series. 20+ years ago we still had tons of people on the forums complaining about they "changed" the story, and that it should be about Princess Sally and the Freedom Fighters, or that it shouldn't have a story at all, because the old Sonic games never had stories (because they probably never played them that much, or at least never read the manuals).

This is the thread for the /STHG/ Card Game! (Working title, maybe) Here we discuss the card game in works. Player use items, treasures, and their cheer stand to support their runners to the goal, while using enemy cards to keep a defense. Discuss the rules, balance, art, and game ideas. I tried a mod
Finally stopped procrastinating and beat the final boss of Unleashed. >Egg Dragoon was easy >Dark Gaia was hard, Gaia Colossus' attacks didn't always connect and its movement was a tad clunky. The Sonic segments were fun, but the time limit and instakill lasers on the third one made it absurdly hard, probably the hardest thing in the entire fight. >Perfect Dark Gaia was pretty easy, but it took an embarassingly high number of attempts. >The QTEs at the end were total bullshit, I died like five times because I couldn't press the square button 60 times in a second. Overall I didn't really enjoy the fight that much and when I beat it I was more glad that it was over than excited that I beat it.
