Red Court's kinda weird tbh. Like, just from top-to-bottom. The way the early books talk about them describes them as creatures of the Nevernever who are fundamentally alien to the physical world (if less so then other Nevernever critters) and aren't all that strong magically. This is pretty easy to infer is Dresden kinda talking out of his ass, given it turns out Bianca was fully capable of becoming a Kemmler-type necromancer with some tutoring, and the Red Court was able to get mortal-magic using vamps by turning practitioners and wizards, but even then it was still pretty heavily emphasized that their advantage was numbers and physicals.
But then we learn their big daddy has been impersonating Kukulkan for millennia, might or might not have a basement full of captive gods he and the Lords of Outer Night are draining, and either way has been mainlining the faith of the Maya and Nahua speaking peoples for a long, long-time to the point he's comparable with an actual (if severely nerfed by both lack of faith and the sacrifices you need to make as a god to maintain a material presence in the physical world after everyone agreed that you needed to accept a degree of mortality to do that for the Oblivion War effort) god like Odin, and can pull mojo sufficient to wipe out the majority of Wizards with a single ritual.
Like, I'd be fascinated to know how the Lords of the Outer Night went from little pot-bellied bat-dudes into eight-feet tall Swarms-That-Fly, and how the Red King got vaguely Outsider-ish power when only mortals are supposed to be able to have it, and by all indications this isn't a recent development (which the Red Court's involvement with Outsiders is implied to be).
....uh, but yeah. Dissecting and playing around with Reds (not our lady of jumpmaking) sounds like a good time. And that is a good way to avoid the issue, least as long as you can avoid running into heavy-weights who might be able to notice on-sight.
Just have to make the choice as the writer to not have a Gatekeeper, Mab or possibly Hades interrupt (since it's kinda implied the Greek pantheon used to be responsible for manning the Outer Gates which Winter handles now, I think).

>Yeah okay, my lewd indulgence jump just swerved hard into El Melloi style adventures.
Fun times ahead for you!
Just remember that while Tamamo is largely self-hating for little actual reason (she killed a lot of people, but it was legitimately in self-defense while undergoing a mental breakdown), Daji was legitimately a cackling maniac who enjoyed bathing China in a literal sea of blood.
Taigong Wang found this very hot.
But Daji was (probably) made by Amy so she could fuck around on the mortal plane. Tamamo was made so she could experience life as a human and understand their feelings and happiness...which is naturally why she had no memory of who she was until her last month of life, turned back into a fox, was confused and horrified, and then got revealed, and at the cost of 160,000 soldiers was traumatized enough to allow herself to be killed.

It'll be exactly the sort of shonen power-up Harry needs in that specific plot which will then shift and evolve as needed for future plots until Butcher finally manages to crash the series (unless me reading about him being tired of it and wanting it to stop being popular, but still needing the money despite his exhaustion with the setting was me being mislead by rumors).

Yeah, that fits.
If I go with me NOT having a (local) mortal soul, I'd probably explain it as my actual background-self being a fox-spirit (with similar abilities) who possessed a changeling and consumed the poor bastard's soul to steal their power, and is on-insertion trying to figure out how to disentangle herself from her victim's mortal relations so she can to about her own business, only to mentally come apart at the seams and reform into me, her true-self.
Which would be a nice way to hit me with a guilt-train of having incarnated as a soul-devouring murderer.
On the other hand, could just be normal multi-soul jump shenanigans and I can just freak people out by being recklessly uncaring about the ancillary mortal soul attached to my actual soul. Especially since Multiple Choice (especially if I take it) implies that despite what the ending says, loosing your (local) soul isn't a problem, it's not having a mortal soul you can call yours by the time the Jump is over. After all, with Multiple Choice you can choose to become a full Fairy for a bit, loosing your soul...and then it just pops back when you go back to being a human/changeling.
Like, it's technically still your soul, but for a bit it ceased to exist, so you could make an argument that if your consciousness isn't actually in that soul, then all that matters is that you have a soul that's yours by the end of the jump. So theoretically you could just take some poor schmuck's soul, hollow it out, put a copy of yourself in there linked to you, and be fine. Maybe.
Probably better to just keep that soul safe than risk it, even if it's just a weird vestigial organ spiritually.

>What is Clocktower's position on people with very, very strong inhuman ancestry, these days? Mostly depends on politics and personal influence/power, right?
If you're not politically connected, aren't very powerful personally, and are actually noticed, people may want to dissect you or use your organs/bones/flesh to make a mystic code or magic crest. If you're either of the first two things, or else avoid attention, you're probably fine. Also, if you're more useful as a living resource or are too much trouble to get rid of (become a pop-star) you can also avoid bad stuff.
Even if you get a Sealing Designation, with some connections, power, and the ability to show that you aren't gonna get yourself killed (and therefore unstudiable), you can probably work an arrangement out similar to Touko.

You are wise my fellow anon, very wise.
Hm, a good idea. Especially since I picked up the Grail Blueprints. I can probably justify having a Grail in the warehouse from the years of down-time in F/A to add ANOTHER layer of Grail War to Snowfield.
