>>1464 (OP) >TG We'll be on /tg/ forever, doesn't matter where /tg/ is located! That said, how much of wfrp2e is portable back in wfrp1e? I would like to dust off the old fella and starting a game in it, i'm thinking applying some default to certain skills (like the standardized 2e -20) and the magic misfires table.

Brettonia is the best.

We're back! I missed you guys. Things will never be the same, will they? I finally got my hands on that chaos champion I've been wanting for years now. I can't wait to paint him. He will not be riding a dragon, because dragons are lame. Now I just have to figure out how to fill out a hole in his shield so it can be perfectly flat.

>>1464 (OP) I fucking told you it was the last thread, but you didn't listen, you had to dabble with undeath!
>>1739 We live again, anon. Whether it be through the powers of Nagash or the blessings of the Gods, we have no choice but to go on. Hopefully we can all make our way here, in time.
>>1468 I think there is a calculation somewhere online if you want to convert Wfrp1e to 2e and certainly one for 2e/1e books to 4e, so I would not be surprised if reverse exists as well. 4e one >https://i.4pcdn.org/tg/1595285982359.pdf
>>1749 Thanks anon, i think i can work with some of that 2e/4e conversion already. Some things straight out break (like 1e magic system is MP based while 2e and thereafter are activation roll based) so i'm already at peace in having to asspull some stuff anyways.

I'm happy to see how we've congregated on our own into here, a /tg/ board. As for the suomi-anon that I'd spoken the week prior, I haven't had yet the time to look in the LGS around, so as to get a personal opinion.
April 22nd marks the 10th anniversary of the announcement of Total War: Warhammer, and the release of this cinematic. We were *still* experiencing the End Times, and Age of Sigmar would only come out in July.
>>2131 Time really does fly, which also shows that GW management at the time did not understand Videogames in the slightest, considering TWW success. At least there has not been much TOW or WFRP news since 4chan went down, unless we count the release of a video by Cubicle 7, where they go over what the TOW RPG will be, along with some new art from the core book for that game. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xtQd73EHE0&t=6s

>>2131 I wonder how many /wfg/ anons actually started collecting an army as a result of those games. I might be cynical, but I don't think it was many.
>>2134 I suppose that's a good thing, as anons may still be adapting to all of this shitshow. Btw, I haven't been keeping up with TOWRPG; are people excited for this? >>2137 Well I'm actually thinking about starting an Empire army (slowly so, when I can spare the money). Since last year, the games brought my interest into the setting, and to this general.
>>2141 I don't think anyone is excited for the Old World RPG outside mild curiosity, since it just seems to be less complicated WFRP so far.
>>2141 >starting an empire army That's good, anon. I'm looking forward to seeing it! Remember to go at your own pace and to take things slow. Once your army is fully painted, you'll wish you were still painting it!
>>2131 The 10yr anniversary of my life only getting worse and worse. Though I gess it was okay 2019-2021 so it's more of thins before and after being shit.
>>2269 Don't say that anon, surely there must be a silver lining or a chance of improving; at the recent years. What have you worked on, in terms of the hobby?
>>1464 (OP) Finished working on some old world terrain while I wait for Beastmen to be available for purchase.

>>2462 I love those trees and the red runes on that rock. The wooden club your beastman is holding is also very impressive. Good stuff, anon! I painted 5 more chaos warriors today. If I can get my hands on another 15, I'll have 40 of them in one big unit. That's probably not the best use of my painting time, but I'm sure it'll look cool. Regardless, at least they fill out the tray I made for them better now.
>>2480 Thanks, and neat little collection of classic warriors you got. Here are some more photos of my beastman as well. It’s going to be my overall color scheme for my herd
>>2137 Fantasy is popular with secondaries because of games. I already had armiese though. >>2318 Dwarfs since 2022. Though really 2022 is where it all goes wrong, since that's where the economy started going to shit and hiring was way down and I sold my investments at a loss.
For the price of an Empire box (be it state troops or greatswords) you can get three of these. Still find it ridiculous; is it greed or incompetence on GW's part?
>>2593 They are aware, that's why the setting moved towards centerpiece models like the steam ank and the new iron giant for china.
(308.73 KB 699x592 l.png)

>>2593 fuck its this guy again
>>2593 Greed. GW knows full well that most warhammer fans will blindly buy the newest thing so they can just jack up the prices.
>>2606 We'll never get away
I'm working out the list I'm going to be bringing to two big events in the coming months and I'm stuck between having my level 4 chaos sorcerer use the lore of daemonology or battle magic. The way I see it is that daemonology is essentially just good for The Summoning, Steed of Shadows and maybe Gathering Darkness, with the other spells being functionally useless on a lone sorcerer. In comparison, battle magic seems to be outright better: Fireball, Pillar of Fire, Arcane Urgency and even the Curse of Cowardly Flight are all incredibly powerful. If I brought him as a daemonologist, I'd have a decent chance at getting steed of shadows, which would allow my block of chosen chaos warriors to move a lot faster, and I'd be guaranteed to get The Summoning. However, I'm going to be bringing a level 2 sorcerer as a daemonologist anyway - should I just gamble for the 1/3 chance of getting SoS on him and have my level 4 use battle magic? SoS -> Arcane Urgency would be insanely powerful and Pillar of Fire can do insane damage if it's used right.
4chins is back. I did like roaming around this site for a few days.
>>3154 I personally have no interest in going back. Even if almost no-one from /wfg/ came here, I still think this /tg/ is better than that /tg/.
