How do solo DnD? I don't have anyone to play with. GPT is fun but it's not the best for long term campaigns and it keeps auto censoring itself all the time. I've played pathfinder and stuff but that's not the same.
I am sorry to tell you anon but DnD is a social game. You got to go find other people to go play with. We do have a thread for that. >>>1139

You can use mythic GM or other GM emulators. Perhaps a system made with solo in mind like knave 2e. People whine about solo play but even Adnd had a few rules on it.
>>2969 >mythic GM cool, thanks, checking it out now
>>2969 Frieren my love....
How to engage in dnd without friends: >read through the pdfs, learn about all the funny rules and setting quirks >pick an adventure. Dungeon crawls are easiest for this as they tend to be easier to break into smaller chunks >spend hours over a week picking out character options to try and solo it >start running the adventure by trying to guess what action the character would most likely do >regret life decisions that have brought you to this dark path This is where I'm stuck >finish the adventure, maybe feel something, maybe try another adventure I'm surprised there aren't better ai tools for this.
>>3017 ikr, someone should vibe code some good tools into existence

Pic related.
I typically Solo play when I'm testing out a system or module. I've done it both with Mausritter and with the mega dungeon Barrowmaze. For Barrowmaze, I rolled up a whole 5 man party, completely random characters with some backups. Funny enough, they all ended up being elves. Barrowmaze is a hexcrawl so it features a lot of random tables and encounters as the PCs move through the map and the dungeon. I started the party off like a normal GM would and had them travel to the hub town, then to the overland hexcrawl area before sending them into the dungeon. It was a good exercise for me in running a mega dungeon and hex crawl. I did mess up as I rolled on the wrong encounter table which caused the party to face off against a substantial force of skeletons at level 1. Lesson learned. MausRitter was easier because I found a solo rules for it and a fairly simple module hex crawl module with enough random tables in it to make it fun. Anyway, I've attached both of text files of each solo run for both games if anyone's interested. They're both not very long, only effectively one to two session's worth of material but I was really only doing it to learn both.
>>2960 Just play video games, playing tabletop RPGs by yourself so you can pretend you're part of the hobby is a sad cope.
>>3047 Forgot other file.
>>3026 >vibe code >what the fuck is anon talking about >look it up The future is going to have the funniest system failures.
If it's literal D&D, Gemini 2.5 can do a pretty decent job at being your DM. Decent is code for keep your expectations low, though. You might want to add some random tables to its system prompt with instructions to execute code to roll on the tables when the situation calls for it.
Oh, 4chan just came back. Neat.

>>2969 problem with oracles or GM emulators is that is pretty "unguided" and more suited to sandbox play/journaling. it's a difference experience to the average table. >>2960 there are some solo adventures for dnd (like https://obviousmimic.com/collections/solo-adventures), or other systems if you're not focused on dnd. there's also a whole library of adventure books like fabled lands or legendary kingdoms. if you want to push plastic around grab one of the dungeon crawler boardgames (check TTS), the FFG games have apps to replace a gamemaster, or they're solo/co-op from the start
