3d printing thread Anonymous 12/21/2022 (Wed) 05:03:43 Id: c60fcd No. 555
couldn't help but notice there was no 3d printing thread share your prints painted or naked share some model files, try to keep links that haven't been axed by GW a secret, but feel free to share free files or deceased files
I have a friend who has a 3d printer and he gave me 2 dwarfs and a chaos space marine.

Here is some pictures of the 3d printed dwarf after and before I tried to paint him. Going to have to add some more details later.
A plague marine my friend printed out. He has a new printer too so its much higher quality.
>>555 fuck i wish i could have bought phillyflash phalanx warders.
(1.27 MB 4000x3000 Tiamat Deck Box.jpg)

I printed a Deckbox for Tiamat with my P1S and AMS unit, and my buddies and I chipped in for it. I also have a Mars 3, but University work has kept me busy since February to fire it up for so many Miniatures.
>>555 What are some good places to learn the absolute basics of 3D printing? I have access to a few printers via work and a local nerdy association I'm a part of and would like to try printing out a few things soon, but as of now I know basically nothing about the process and I assume it's at least a little bit more complex than just picking a file and clicking ctrl+p Where to learn?
>>1902 If the file is supported you literally do just click print (slice in this case) and then put it on a thumbdrive or sd card to put into the printer, select that file and then press "start" The slicing program will be available at your work and the nerd place. If it isn't supported, you click "generate supports" in that slicing program before you click "slice". Lychee (free slicing program) does veey reliable automatic supports.

I don't want to buy a printer and resin I don't want to buy recasts I don't want to buy discounted models I just want GW to not fuck me over when all I wanna do is have 10,000 points of Chaos Space Marines and also maybe win the lottery and become a milionaire.
>>1952 Getting a 3d printer woldnt do you much good. I dont see too many csm scans around and the proxies are pretty mid. TS, WE and EC have a better selection, however.
