The main reason is that you just couldn't see them; the text needed to be really dense to be a reasonable font size without cutting anything. This cap is about as long as the last two put together. The other reason is that in this story Little Red has been in love with (You) for years and years and it makes sense to me that in that time she'd learn Human-speak like Meowth in the anime. It's a fun little effect though, so I'll most likely bring it back for the next installment in this series, whenever that might be.
