From my observations about DL statistics on AI sites, I think interest in lewding every random cartoon/anime girl is relatively low (though more common than gay men) and mainly a dedicated demographic, but a significant chunk of top tier lolis inspire a strong craving in the general population of straight men (or at least the tech oriented ones). Even before the latest censorship wave that reduced their visibility, random lolis did worse than random adult women (actually mostly teenage characters who can plausibly be claimed to be drawn as 18), but the popular ones are in the top model slots with no issues. I'm not sure what makes these top tier lolis the ones everyone craves beyond brat needing correction (Gwen Tennyson, Belfraw Martini, Cindy Vortex) because that's only one segment of them.
