Timesplitters Rewind releasing on the 24th of November Anonymous 10/28/2025 (Tue) 23:15:02 Id: 990647 No. 1889185
Not much longer now, and it'll be released. coincidentally, I only just started playing these games around 2 months ago. I 100%ed TimeSplitters 1, and I just got done beating 2 on Hard last night. I'm probably going to thoroughly play Future Perfect emulated first, since they're clearly designed with the intent of using a controller. Maybe I get though the content normally, then I'll play Rewind. Then again, I might play some of Rewinds Multiplayer on launch, no reason not to.
>>1957145 I've played so much of the older games already. 100%ing some of them was such a pain in the ass. I still really look forward to seeing how Rewind holds up though. I hope it doesn't have any glaring problems when the release it.
>>1957145 17 hours left, I wonder how big the filesize is
>>1957145 Good job anon. Going to be weird not having to play Future Perfect with the Mouse and Keyboard mod.
Never actually played the Timesplitters games, they somehow just always flew under my radar as a kid.
Is there any video of actual gameplay yet?
>>1957763 There is this 30 second trailer from the website linked in the OP. And then there are videos on YouTube here with the newest one being over a year old. https://www.youtube.com/@timesplittersrewindofficia3667/videos
35 minutes.
>>1957519 Really poorly marketed unfortunately to the point Eidos somehow did a better job than EA.
DL is up. 13.5 GB compressed and labeled "Early access"
>>1958660 Downloading now. Sadly I suddenly have shit to do so I won't be able to play today. Life can be cruel.
>>1958660 >Early Access Should have know >13GB Not bad at all
>>1958666 Well given the DL speed I'm getting, you should just leave it to DL in the background anyways.
>>1958686 Mine isn't that bad, but my download is going to finish almost exactly at the time I have to split. Which I guess is kind of fitting now that I think about it.
>>1958707 You better say it whenever you get off the computer!
Got it DLed, now to figure out how to set it up on Lutris.
>>1958817 Surprisingly painless: >extract to a folder >make a (blank) folder to set as WINE directory >add game >add locally installed game >add name etc. and set wine as runner >add exe location, extracted folder as working directory and set the wine directory >set GE Proton as runner >done Seems to work fine, but what I have to do now is figure out where the ini files are and see if I can set the sensitivity higher because the max of 2 is far too low for me.
It's a little harder than I expected, and the mouse sensitivity feels off, but very nice overall.
>Most download servers overloaded >Number 8 is downloading at 400-700kb/s Didn't expect the fastest download speed but damn they really are overloaded lol Also >early access v03.3 Wonder if it will take another 5-10 years to get to a "full release" version.
>CPU: Intel Atom C2750 @2.40 GHz tf is this CPU? is it better than a Sandy BridgE?
>>1961414 Are you retarded or new to computers? That's the Atom line which was Intel's ultra low power usage x86 CPU line that tried to become a competitor to arm and died. They sucked ass and later got rebranded into the Intel (celeron) N series except performance scaled up enough that its usable now. Anyways the only real unique use for those Atoms is the fact their iGPUs aren't actually Intel chips but rebranded mobile powerVR ones, which are terrible but cool. The PS Vita's GPU ended up one of the Atoms but I can't remember which. Anyways it is not faster than Sandy Bridge E, its slower than the slowest Sandy Bridge laptop CPUs and even those sucked outside of extremely high end gaming laptops.
Got around to playing with the Arcade modes. It was fun, but also needs some work still. AI for example, seems to get stuck while pathing, spawn in the floor/ceiling, and get extreme tunnel vision for the player over AI enemies that may be actively harming them as they make a beeline for you. Performance was mostly fine, but a few levels/challenges had a good amount of stuttering when first loading in that persisted for around 10ish seconds. Overall, it feels as rough as you would expect from an early access game (though not unplayable like a lot of those can be). They have the foundation here, and they just need to polish/improve on it while filling out the missing content. I hope it goes well for them and doesn't take another decade to accomplish. I haven't tried the campaign or online multiplayer yet. I was waiting for a friend to try it co-op. I saw there were quite a few online games going when I checked last night so I might try that too.

>>1961760 >spoiler Nice buzzword! :^) >if it doesn't take 10 years The framework is all there now, plus some public modding help, so I doubt it.

Is Bronze in each Arcade/Challenge enough to unlock everything? I'm mostly getting golds and platinums, but a few are obnoxiously hard. >>1961859 >modding Playable Carol when?
Anyone knows how its handles on Steam Deck? >>1961874 >Playable Carol when When Edwina gets added.
Let's pray the project goes well. >>1961874 >Playable Carol when When is the online coming out for her game?
So are only TS1 campaign missions available at the moment? I noticed that I couldn't select TS2 or FP missions and I figured that meant they wanted you to go in order but I just beat the TS1 missions on normal and I can't get to TS2. Multiplayer is also fun but a little jank
>>1962030 Yeah, only the TS1 campaign is avaiable
>>1962021 At the least it'll be when they finally piece together the ending but at most when they're forced to take the game down to completely rewrite the spaghetti code. >>1962030 That wouldn't make any sense with TS1 only being disjointed missions in an overall bare bones game. The other two have far more going on, with or without the voiced cutscenes.
>>1961760 One more bit is that they really should increase the max player count. At least for the larger maps. >>1961859 >so I doubt it I'm so used to disappointment that I can't help but doubt everything. That said, I do genuinely hope I'm worried over nothing though.
>>1961638 >new to computers? I mostly stick to desktop hardware so idk much of mobile parts
>>1962253 Atoms were in tons of shitty desktops back in the day, especially in the mini pc market up until Intel discontinued the Atom line
God, I missed tiddy jiggle on a western videogame!

Is it 'made' for kb+m? Can't imagine it'd be too hard offline if that's the case, which would be a shame imo.
>>1966620 I think turn speed is artificially capped, but KBM still makes several challenges way easier than they were on console.
Glad there are threads here too
