Shadow and Amy look so good together and I'm a sucker for the hypothetical dynamic, but the way they're characterized in ship art - including some of the stuff I'm posting - breaks my immersion really badly. If Sonic was a real person it would be reasonable for him to grow and change or explore dating someone different from him. Shadamy kind of has the same thing going for it, but if you look at how Amy actually behaves in the games, especially in the 2000s games, her devotion to Sonic is almost unhealthy. The thing that confuses me about Shadria hate is the fact that even if they saw each other as siblings, the entire problem with it "sibling" ships is that they are biological. Shadow and Maria are not biological siblings. The inherent problem with it is gone.

Sonally is antithetical towards Sonic's entire character. Even Sonails is more in-character even though Sonic isn't gay. Most of the people who ship it either don't understand the basics of Sonic (it really isn't even that deep), aren't fans of the games, or they are aware of these things and they just don't care (I think that's based) Shadamy has all of the same problems. Most of the people who ship it don't get who Shadow is at all and thinks he'd be Amy's shoulder to cry on when she realizes Sonic won't go for her. It's just wrong. Shadow is even more closed off and likely to find any of Amy's interests frivolous.

Also, just for reference, you should consider not making every sentence a new line. Short paragraphs are fine, but that isn't what you're doing here. That whole thing should have been two, maybe three paragraphs at most. Not eight. This kind of thing might fly on Reddit or whatever, but it outs you as one of the refugees around here.

Romantic tension is in the eye of the beholder, and playing by the rules the comic sets it doesn't matter who's a boy and who's a girl. And be cute all you want, Sonic doesn't go on fun runs, go shopping. eat out, hold hands and genuinely connect with Eggman.
