>>33106 It's conceptually good and has certain design decisions that improve upon the Adventure formula. Most of the stages are great. Sonic, Tails, Omega, Silver, and Blaze have decent controls. The DLCs have some good extra content. The music is obviously great. The story, even if it's incoherent nonsense for the most part, can be exciting, emotional, and memorable, and it has some good moments for some of the characters. The prerendered cutscenes look cool. It's broken and clunky because it clearly needed more work and better management, but considering all of its aspects beyond the technical stuff and the things that were left unfinished, it's definitely among the most interesting and exciting games in the series.

I thought it was neat how the Xbox 360 version tried to handle the game at 60fps, since most footage online shows it running at 30. Granted the console cant seem to handle it and the FPS goes to shit when there's plenty of physics interactions, but impressive visually for an early launch title. Just a shame it suffered from an incredibly rushed production.

Eggman's time traveling portal should have been done with Mephiles's sceptor in hand, since using just one emerald brings up too many plotholes. They can just break the sceptor later. The scenes with Elise were weird but salvageable. Sonic should not have had explicit feelings for her. He's just saving the princess. She can still resurrect him with a kiss, this is pretty normal for Sonic. The trials were dumb and could've been replaced with actual levels. Since the choice never mattered anyway. Blaze's entire appearance made no sense for the story and should have been introduced separately or removed entirely. I honestly liked all the interactions Mephiles had with Silver and Shadow. Probably the strongest part of the plot. Besides this, the major problems were entirely related to poor graphics, gameplay design, and loading times.

That's how I interpreted it, he's not in love with her, it's one sided and part of Elise's story is accepting that Sonic is eventually going to leave. And when she accepts that she finds out Sonic improved her life even if he isn't with her anymore

I can say three > The OST (duh) > Silver The Hedgehog > Being able to play as Blaze in a 3D Mainline game with her fire moveset don't get me wrong, the game is ass but gotta give credit where credit is due.

SA1 is the closest to that in 3D aside from this game, excluding Big and the side stuff like the Tornado

>>35218 the doom powers are cool, pretty meh on color powers and emerald powers. doom powers are the only ones that automatically change your gameplay style so theres the connection i guess... not really your point here but i do think doom blast & doom wings should be part of sonics moveset let alone shadows.
