From ICV2: >David Ozer, who was President of IDW Entertainment from its founding in 2013 until his departure five years later (see "Ozer Leaves IDW"), has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to two counts of wire fraud, the U.S. Attorney's office for the Central District of California announced. Ozer was also ordered to pay $399,344.52 in restitution. >The two cases both related to embezzlement from productions in which Ozer was involved. As president of Strong Studios he was the producer of TV series Safehaven, a role that allowed him to defraud the series' principal financial backer Ravenswood Productions LLC of around $214,486 by faking invoices and other documents to show the payments as show expenses. >Ozer also solicited and diverted loans made to support TV series Endangered. While asserting that the money was being used to develop the show, including for fees for a script, Ozer misappropriated the funds to his personal use, creating false documents to cover his tracks. >During his time at IDW Entertainment, the company sold three seasons of Wynonna Earp and two of Dirk Gently, and placed V-Wars at Netflix. Ozer left IDW shortly after founder Ted Adams left the company, and he was replaced by TV executive Kerry McCluggage. TLDR; The asshole who ruined IDW by chasing movies and tv shows was a piece of shit who stole from multiple companies. Enjoy prison stalker child.
