I had a thought yesterday: The Ship of Theseus ceases to be the same ship at the moment when the egregore of the original ship becomes incompatible with the current physical ship. I'd learned just minutes ago about the phenomenon called "phantom sense", by watching some dumb youtube video. This is a phenomenon that vrchat RPers experience wherein they literally feel what their vrchat avatar touches. I figure that this is occurring because they're RP so hard that they're actually projecting some amount of their astral bodies into what's probably an astral realm that corresponds to vrchat. As such, when a different vrchat avatar walks through the vrchat avatar of the guy with phantom sense, the guy with phantom sense will literally feel the vrchat avatar inside of his vrchat avatar, which would understandably feel uncomfortable if there's any sort of astral substance in tne interloper's vrchat avatar. I suppose that a vrchat user with phantom sense, while RPing, would actually be able to feel another vrchat user's avatar touching his vrchat avatar without his or her monitor or speakers at all indicating the presence of the interloping vrchat avatar. Just some dumb intuitive speculation.

Was thinking about playing turtle wow to figure out a way to get in touch with my nostalgia and videogame addiction on a deeper level. As I was watching a video that detailed the specs of that vanilia+ experience I suddenly remembered all my negative experiences and all the time lost with grinding. I still treasure my experience that I had in my teens while playing wow but there is no way I can waste my time playing that game as an adult now. I cannot grind up a character with the same novel naivety and wonder that I had in the past. I cannot like MMOs the same way as I did back then and I don't see a way or a point I will do it again. I feel like I would start up the game play it for a day or 2 and delete it. I think it's time to slowly let go of my videogame addicted self. There is not even a game I could get addicted the same way as I did back then. The only reason I got good at videogames to be able to play with my friends then I played games to calm my nerves after a stressful day when I didn't have enough time to hang out with my friends anymore. I am far above mere stress nowadays. Breakthroughs in my meditative practice solved that. Fantasy games remind me that I should cultivate my own magic instead cultivating skill rotations and memorize new mechanics. I am starting to think that the only reason we are even able to get addicted to videogames nowadays stems from this modernist urbanized over-regulated moralist and conformist lifestyle which messes with our minds constantly and we cannot take a break from without escaping into a screen. I cannot force my body the generate the same amount pleasure by pressing the buttons on the keyboard. I think it started when my friends started to play videogames and I was bothered that I sucked at it and couldn't keep up with them. Then after playing for months something clicked and I got obsessed with it for the sole reason to be able to overcome their skill levels. I played harder and harder games for the sole purpose to be not left behind. Then I stopped caring what others played and went into the direction of enjoying "quality videogames". Good thing normalfags and casuals murdered this industry. No sane person is truly invested in videogames nowadays. Why would they? There is nothing there anymore. It's time to free the part of myself that was trapped within videogames for so long. There is a world out there and I am not just talking about the physical world but everything else we can see if we bother looking.
