Is final fantasy 14 even survivable as a first jump if you take on the role of the Warrior of Light? I've been watching long plays of a bunch of the class quest lines and raid event plots, not even the main plot mind you, and it's all chock full of stuff that pretty much *has* to be handled by the Warrior of Light specifically and also is so ludicrously dangerous that I can only assume that the WoL succeeds because of mile thick plot armor, something which the jump does not offer. Even if you explicitly went for a build focused exclusively on combat power, or potential combat power if you go with the origin focused on being the WoL, the sheer amount of insane shit flying around makes it seem like survival is nigh impossible.
Purge. It.

Are multiple purchases of the same item discounted through an Origin? As in, does the discount stack? What about Jumps with 'floating' discounts where you pick which item is discounted?
Damn jumpers, ruined jumpchain.
>>151850 Depends on the jump, by default I'd say that you can't buy repeat purchases of an item tho.
>>151850 By default I assume you can buy multiples of the same item, but only the first purchase is discounted unless otherwise stated. >>151852 You can buy multiple of the same item in the original Pokemon Trainer jump FWIW.
>>151850 Depends on the context, I'd say most items can't be purchased more than once but some could be if they're the sort of thing it would make sense to be able to purchase more of. For example if a jump has an item option where you can get a car of your choice it seems reasonable to assume you could purchase it multiple times and get a different type of car each time. That's just me though and ultimately it'll probably come down to fanwank.
>>151851 💢 Need correction.
>>151855 🤨Turns out we can actually post emojis, here.
>>151852 >by default I'd say that you can't buy repeat purchases of an item tho I usually play it be ear / what the item is and description says. No more than 1 Power Stone in Marvel, or unique item like the Aetos Dios in the Primarchs Jump but multiple Stormbirds would be fine. >>151854 Would you discount that second purchase?
>>151856 We can also do funky things with FONTS
>>151858 I knew about that already. 🤦‍♂️
How good of a power would total energy manipulation (as in the ability to freely manipulate all forms of energy) be?
>>151860 Catastrophic, but can you initiate matter/energy conversion in either direction, or only work with already-energy energy?
>>151860 Extremely, the most basic application of such a power would make you similar to Accelerator. Which is to say monstrously overpowered in most contexts.
>>151857 >Would you discount that second purchase? if it was discounted the first time? Probably. There's plenty of precedent that if something is discounted to an origin and purchasable multiple times that repeat purchases are also discounted.
>>151861 It would only be energy. >>151862 I thought a neat "limitation" is that other than generating more energy I can only stop energy by turning it into other energy, so instead of redirecting your punch the kinetic energy is now thermal energy and you've not only stopped but are on fire
>>151836 >Talk about it anyways. Have fun with it. Eh, it's about EraTW. 4 capstone. Time Stop, Bite The Dust. Obvious is obvious, but the other three are cheat "items" that are described as capacities. KC, Epitath, and Weather Report. You get absolutely nothing by guessing what they do. If you think Epitath lock fate in place, you'd be wrong though But I'm unsure of what I should do, I think Weather Report should be at 400 along with the less impressive perks, like you got 99999 Sta/Ene/Vig, but I could also say fuck it and make everything uneven. It's an Era game after all. There's also a modded feature that is a really fun idea: the ability to make up to 5 copy of yourself to fuck.
>>151860 Everything is energy, everything material anyway, so you'd effectively have complete control over the material universe. How busted it would be would depend on scale and precision but generally speaking you're talking about a power that could in theory be used to create, transform, transmute or destroy basically anything within the physical universe.
>>151865 >There's also a modded feature that is a really fun idea: the ability to make up to 5 copy of yourself to fuck. What branch is that from?

I just had a thought, if you took the perk to be immune to Paradox in nwod would you still be affected by Paradox in owod?
>>151868 In addition to the issue of the nWoD jump not letting you get past five on the stat ratings the anti paradox perk appears to only let you reduce not eliminate it.
>>151867 Anon I believe. Branches are FUCKING annoying sometime.
>>151596 Bit late, but yay build!
>>151871 Hello senpai, hope you are having a nice day.
>>151873 Heyo. It's decent, but not great. I spent an unfortunate chunk of it driving with someone who refused to turn the heat off, so I have a fairly large headache rn. I'm currently trying to do some writing for a quest I'm running on qq before heading to sleep.
I wish I could watch a movie in a single sitting without getting a blinding migraine. I've been trying to watch The Princess And The Frog for about...three or four hours now. Still got a half hour of movie left.
>>151865 What kinda perk ideas do you got in general? Are there gonna be small little perks for the various activities you can do, or are you mainly focusing on the big stuff first? Either way, I suggest adding a free perk for being able to bring out and make some tea outta nowhere. It doesn't do anything special, It's just regular ass tea (so long as you don't add anything to it afterwords) that you happen to make taste good more often than not.
>>151848 So he couldn't mega evolve her while trying to be Champion? Sad, but good short even if I didn't 100% get it.
>>151850 I always go with the theory only the first purchase is discounted unless stated otherwise.
>>151878 Best part of smartphones is being able to just pause a movie and take it with me everywhere so I can have it available whenever my batteries are full enough for it
>>151848 Aww, that's adorable. Love how she's stalking her childhood friend as he does his work, but I hate the idea that he's so busy working he can't hang out with her
>>151865 As long as there's a hypnosis perk, I'll be happy. Because goddamn, is hypnosis ridiculous and fun to use there.
>>151868 nWoD and oWoD Paradox aren't the same thing strictly speaking, it would be like assuming a perk that made you immune to demonic contracts specifically also made you immune to being turned into a frog by a fairy godmother..
>>151837 >Is final fantasy 14 even survivable as a first jump Ye- >if you take on the role of the Warrior of Light? No.
>>151868 Two entirely different types of Paradox.
>>151868 Yes, Paradox in NWoD is the result of a curse, while paradox in OWoD is because the consensus reality rejects your magic. I suggest picking up Be Gay Do Crime from Heaven Will Be Mine to help with OWoD paradox. It'll make it a lot easier to get away with magic as long as you keep it mostly to yourself
>>151879 I'm starting with the big things, because obviously, it's what EraTW is about. >Either way, I suggest adding a free perk for being able to bring out and make some tea outta nowhere Serving tea and alcohol and food IS something you can do normally for everyone. For some reasons, so I thought about fusing it with Collector's Gap. Meaning that the gap isn't just for storing panties, but also items. 100cp. Good grief, I'm really not made for jumpmaking. >>151884 I thought about making it a 400cp. I don't know if it's fair, but it's nowhere near the sheer bullshit of what you can do with the capstone.
>>151889 You can do it friend!
>>151837 >Is final fantasy 14 even survivable as a first jump if you take on the role of the Warrior of Light? Yes? Just having the echo makes you strong enough to contend with all that bullshit, and you can easily be STRONGER than the canon Warrior of Light.
>>151890 I have absolutely no faith in myself.
>>151885 >>151887 >>151888 Actually the perk in nWoD mages would work, as it covers other similar casting incontinence, but it doesn't actually get rid of paradox so anon is likely talking about something else.
>>151893 He's possibly talking about the perk from NWoD Archmage
>>151892 Believe in the me who believes in you. Also, slightly more practical advice, decide on whatever structure you want to run with first, then fill that structure in as best you can. Don't even worry about fluffing until you have every option lined up. If absolutely necessary, don't be afraid to break up the bigger things into smaller options, or group several smaller things together into one big option.
>>151894 Ah, while I too am salty about the nWoD mage jump not letting you reach Archmastery it really should just get a dupe rather than handing it over for free in something like this.
>>151896 The Archmage jump is honestly better written than the Mage jump, TBH. Getting thrown right in the deep end without any of the buildup to be a skilled mage is a bitch too
>>151897 Fair, but I still feel it's a little wrong in principle and it would be better to have being a basic entry level archmaster as an expensive perk in a nWoD Mage dupe. Though that's unlikely and thus probably not worth considering.
>>151898 I feel kind of like Archmastery should be a Scenario reward instead, the Scenario being the Seeking.
>>151895 >Believe in the me who believes in you Believing in me is something that would make me stop believing in you. There's no Origins, it's all two discount per tier. I'm starting at the top, and slowly going down. It's convenient, because I can go ham with the items, like, every alcohol ever at 600 (there's a lot of them) but not that ham because there isn't that much items.
>>151899 That too would be better than a jump where Archmastery is the baseline.
>>151889 >Serving tea and alcohol and food IS something you can do normally for everyone. For some reasons, so I thought about fusing it with Collector's Gap. Meaning that the gap isn't just for storing panties, but also items. 100cp. Eh, that makes sense. Explains why the player can haul so much shit at any given time at the very least. >Good grief, I'm really not made for jumpmaking. Hey man, at least you're trying. Jumpmaking obviously takes time and energy, even for the folks that can flip them crazy fast. It's probably why some many jumpmakers fucking loathe making and adding items. Worst case, just ask if you're stuck or ponder stuff. Won't be short on people to get ideas from.
Finally got to finishing the movie. And I have realized a few things. >One: Naveen didn't use royal funds to help build Tiana's palace. Tiana just got Louis (the gator) to stand directly behind the realtors and growl very, very loudly at them while she was buying the place. Intimidation tactics in business deals is Disney approved! >Two: Prince Naveen has a younger brother. Who is six and a half years old. Charlotte (pic related) desperately wanted to marry a prince, but with Naveen marrying Tiana...her exact words were "Well, I waited this long...", so grooming is Disney-approved! I can work with this.
>>151903 (Also that mole/beauty mark is fake. She literally painted it on.)
In Mage the Ascension (not Awakening) would the actual rules behind magic (as in it's willworking where you use your understanding of part of reality (Sphere) together with your strength as a willworker (Arete) to impose your will onto reality) be viable as a paradigm?
>>151905 Sounds like you just want solipsism as your paradigm. Go for it
>>151905 I mean, yes? I think I remember the books mentioning that while it might fiddle with them a little, regardless of whatever your Paradigm is, you're still bound by the mechanics, so making your Paradigm just being said mechanics should be fine.
>>151906 >Sounds like you just want solipsism as your paradigm. Is it solipsism if you recognize that others could (and some do) alter reality in the same way? >Go for it Cool. >>151907 >I mean, yes? I think I remember the books mentioning that while it might fiddle with them a little, regardless of whatever your Paradigm is, you're still bound by the mechanics, so making your Paradigm just being said mechanics should be fine. That was what I was thinking, figured I'd also take the perk for a second paradigm since this would work well with the idea of seeing why/how other paradigms work too.

How does World of Darkness compare to Warhammer Fantasy in power?
>>151902 >Eh, that makes sense. Explains why the player can haul so much shit at any given time at the very least. That was my rhetoric for it as well. >Hey man, at least you're trying. Jumpmaking obviously takes time and energy, even for the folks that can flip them crazy fast. As much as I'm vexed that we don't have enough jump for things I like, I get it, because even if you are a machine and pump them like kitties, it's harsh, you need to think, to balance the things, sometime it won't be perfect or worse, not perfect at all. It's tough work. >>151900 Note to self, probably not 600... I can't really thing of anything that could worth the cost, and one 600 item is just...

>>151818 Didn't Darksied also kill Superman's boss in STAS too?
Aside from Darkstalkers, what are the strongest Succubus archetypes out there? And I do mean physically and mystically strong, not just "sex appeal". I'm looking for sincerely overpowered succubi.
>>151918 Taimanin... I guess? Well, it's the Incubus King, but Incubus/Succubus, but...
>>151918 There's the Demonlord in Monster girl encyclopedia. She's strong enough to reality warp the setting into what it currently is and you can companion her in the gauntlet scenario where you replace the hero.
>>151918 KULT.
>>151919 The Incubus King is kinda his own thing; succubi in Taimanin are generally fairly standard for their archetype. >>151920 Two things: one, I'm not entirely sure she should count because for all intents and purposes she was mostly a normal succubus before the Hero started fucking her and powering her up-and most of her power in the modern day comes from that and being the Demon Lord. Two, I'm not sure I should count MGE at all because all Mamono in MGE are part succubus; that's why they turn into Mamono at all instead of just being monsters. >>151921 Humans aren't succubi. Also-I'm looking for an overpowered succubus archetype, not just "an overpowered succubus". I want a species of succubi that is overpowered, not just individual heroes.
>>151920 Let's not talk about MGE or MGQ or I'll kill someone dead. >>151922 And inccubi, there ARE inccubus. You just never see them because who care about things that aren't cute girls.

How many days did it took your Jumper to get drunk with power after getting their first top-tier power, perk or riches item?
>>151924 Days?
>>151918 Maybe the succubi/incubi from Yuragi Yuuna? It seems that they are severely holding back all the time. The one incubus that we see trying to actively using his powers inmediately takes over the entire cast and plans to keep expanding to do the same with the entire world. And the half-breed succubi teacher can match him quite easily and she is usually blocking her powers because otherwise she would just charm the entire cast as well.
>>151924 Far too many decades.
>>151918 >>151922 MGE, I guess. Also, humans aren't the only species in KULT.
>>151903 Charlotte is the best freind disney ever made for an mc
>>151914 Night, WoL.
>>151837 IIRC the jump lets you start as strong/skilled as the Final Boss of Stormblood from when he was a constant unbeatable cutscene fights dude, with the potential to grow to Endwalker final fight level once you put your mind to it, on top of whatever Warrior of Light perks you get. I don't quite remember how much the perk turned you into Zenos but you'd probably still die to the Black Rose without rampant time travel even if you revive later somehow.
>>151922 >Two, I'm not sure I should count MGE at all because all Mamono in MGE are part succubus I don't see why you wouldn't? Even unmarried ordinary mook Mamono are still absurdly busted and can wipe out arbitrarily strong armies of warriors. They'd fit if you're looking for "overpowered succubi" as a species. In fact, I think they're basically the /only/ thing you have that fits that definition. Individually overpowered succubi are already fairly rare, but extending that ot an entire species? It's MGE, MGQ or bust.
>>151932 I don't think any mamono beneath a dragon is going to be wiping out armies on their own, at least not without getting married and engaging the dual cultivation engine.
>>151933 I can't find the specific quote but I believe it was less "wipe them out" and more that even an unmarried monster wouldn't have much to fear from an army. This is especially true if they're old and more experienced. >and engaging the dual cultivation engine. Funnily enough, they don't even need to do that. WG3 says that just by being near each other, a monster and her husband are constantly becoming more powerful; > Also, even without using sex as an intermediary, just by touching each other, or even just being near each other, this mechanism works. They say that man and monster married couples elevate one another's abilities just by living together. “Dragon knights”, human male riders who fight astride dragon mounts such as “dragons (Encyclopedia I – p. 214”) or “wyverns (Encyclopedia II – p. 152)” exploit this effect, with the dragon mount becoming even more powerful and agile than she would be individually, and the rider's combat strength becoming incomparably higher than it would be individually. >Furthermore, this special mana amplifying characteristic can exhibit even higher effects by thoroughly, carefully, and persistently mixing together one another's mana, and is capable of producing even larger amounts of mana.

>>151918 Monmusu Quest, Succubi can learn Martial Arts but there's a stigma towards it for not being "proper" of a Succubi. Alma Elma is the Succubus Queen and a major character who learned Martial Arts to spite her mom.
(65.69 KB 460x419 a3KVKLQ_460s.jpg)

>>151934 So what you're saying is that Mamono can, in fact, engage the dual cultivation engine through the heretical and forbidden arts of cuddling and handholding?
>>151837 The Path of Stars perkline gives you most of the stuff the WoL has including plot armor on top of some extra stuff. Might wanna grab "Bountiful Aether", "Sturdy Well" from Path of Magic and the perks that let you predict attacks (the orange zones thing) and the one that lets you show them and mark stuff to allies from the Path of War. It's survivable but very difficult, just avoid messing up the plot because you really need some specific stuff to happen for later. For example without the Crystal Tower being sent in the First, there's no way to stop the Rejoining because you simply can't reach Emet-Selch and Elidibus there.

Help me here guys. In your opinion, it would be easier to survive in Fallout or to survive in Cyberpunk 2077?
>>151948 Cyberpunk 2077, easily. While North America in general and Night City specifically is an absolute cesspit, most of the world is normal.
>>151949 >>151948 Actually, Fallout might be more survivable if it's specifically Fallout 1 or Fallout 2, back when the setting was actually legitimately getting better
>>151949 Yes, but assume Night City is the place you are going to be living in.
>>151951 Well, in that case it's still pretty survivable? Like, people live their entire lives there.
>>151950 I thought about that too. There are many cities in Fallout 1 and 2 that have a pretty good quality of life. Its only Fallout 3 that drops the ball with people livng in trash for two hundred years.'
>>151952 Yes, but i'm asking whats easier.
>>151954 Cyberpunk 2077. Because while Night City is a cesspit, the world is still pretty much a normal one
>>151955 And what do you think about gangs? While Fallout has raiders, they limit themselves to roads and the edge of civilization. In Cyberpunk 2077, you have to deal with them everywhere, and you can't just run away from them.
>>151954 Night City will probably give you a higher standard of living so long as you're just trying to keep your head down and not be a protagonist. Yeah you'll have gang violence and stuff to worry about but nobody's going to be gunning specifically for you if you're not making enemies and messing with corpos for a living. Whereas if you're in Fallout and you have even a modicum of resources you're going to have raiders and the like coming after you for them.
>>151956 Just leave night city.

>>151837 The WoL has in-character a super buff soul that gives them their extreme strength. The real problem without meta-knowledge is the WoL dies and they need time travel to fix it. Which also does nothing to really deal with the Endsinger who will just keep gathering more and more despair for Dynamis so they'll need to sacrifice more and more souls to Zodiark as time goes on." If you're willing to forsake the First and try your luck with the ensuing Calamity, I suppose you could live in the ashes. The next rejoining would take a long while to prepare (Bahamut was an unique case where the damage caused to the realm was minimal thanks to Louisoix's sacrifice, they NEED the source to stay lively and recover before the next calamity). I guess you could try to cooperate with the Ascians? Emet-Selch might accept you if you explain things carefully, but you're a baddie now.
No but seriously. You wanna be safe in Night City? Carry an EMP. Doesn't need to be a big one, or even particularly strong. Everyone in Night City's prepared for bullets; almost nobody's ready for having their chrome scrambled. And when almost literally everyone has chrome at bare minimum chrome eyes or the like, scrambling chrome with an EMP can be a game winner right then and there.

What are some good ways to introduce supernatural horrors into Cyberpunk that are still weak enough to not overtake or dominate everything? Even the people who die in the cataclysms benefit, because they were going to die eventually anyway but this ensures their new incarnations are happier. Even dragons benefit, since it is implied that the reason that the first eight dragons are so much stronger than the rest is that they have dragon souls from the Dragon Star, rather than shattered human souls in dragon bodies they'd be getting once they started laying eggs on planet Hydaelyn. Even if the Ascians were tempered by Zodiark (which is unlikely), Zodiark's controlling intelligence is Hythlodeus, who would agree with the plan to dissolve Zodiark as no longer necessary.

Why didn't Ric tell me this anime had such a peak waifu in it? Though I am bummed out a bit since she seems too focused on the cute MC to really go with anyone else... Maybe I could get try and get them both? Something to decide on after I watch the anime in full I guess.
>>152118 he probably forgot, like the anime did a few episodes in.
>>152118 She looks nice, but the "UwU master notice me" kinda ruins it.
Damn, I want to be a tamer in digimon tamers but the perks I want are dropin capstones. So either I go drop in and buy a digivice for 600. Though if I DO go drop in and buy a digivice I could supposedly use the perks to program up a new digimon, though its a shame I cannot purchase a partner via the jump like that (It seems to have partner mons locked to tamer origin) but maybe if I import a companion as a digimon they would count. But should I import my ai who runs all my stuff, my pseudodragon familiar, or my info gathering mirror familiar?
>>152013 It should have been pretty obvious to you based on the gay music they used in the trailer(s).
>>152121 personally I'd import the Pseudodragon familiar,, it would probably most benefit from being able to be digimodified by cards, getting to digivolve or even merge ith you.
>>152120 That and the squeaky little girl voice.
>>152124 to be fair, I think she's like 13 or something. like she is very much a child compared to the MC who's actually 20 or something.

>>152121 I think the digivice had a function where you could register a partner if you didn't have one, so as Drop In you can still get one by imported companion, fresh creation, or rando you meet. Just using the basic import to make a partner would also work; treating Jump start as your meeting and partnership formation. Digimon Tamers was a bit unique in that some of the partnerships were spontaneous, like how Rika had dozens of digimon clamoring for the position.

I'm thinking for my artificial super soldiers in Street Fighter I'm wanting to synthesize a new kind of energy that's borrowing qualities either from Satsui no Hado and Soul Power, or Psycho Power and Power of Nothingness. The idea would be to harness the volatile but immensely powerful qualities of the more negative energy and restrain them with an opposing force. The former pairing would involve maximizing internal power while applying external seals to control one's self, while the latter pairing would involve wielding strong externalized energy while keeping a pure core. I think I'll probably do research into both. Would there be decent short term results with either? >Satsui no Hado/Soul Power 1d100 = 19 >Psycho Power/Power of Nothingness 1d100 = 78 >>152162 What's up with bluesky?

How do I nip the events of the Digimon Tri series from ever happening (or prevent it from going through most of the canon events as much as possible)? Should permanently killing off Meicommon/Meicrackmon do it? I don’t want to deal with Tri…I could just treat it as not existing considering that the original Digimon Adventure jump never took it into account, but my mind is stubborn due to the 10 year time frame.
>>152049 Final Fantasy Tactics has a perk to regenerate your mana in a minute, and also one to use it as a shield. By the way, If you grab "Strike Back", "Unlootable", "Ribbon Bearer", "Judge Not", "Pre-Judged", and the "Mirror Mail", you're essentially nigh-invincible in setting. Basic attacks are blocked and countered, you're immune to status effects, your armor reflects magic and can't be stolen or damaged. To top it off, you can put into action Laws that make it so people are forced to use/avoid using either basic attacks, ranged attacks, or magicks, with an infraction causing a half-second Stun, except the Stun is applied BEFORE the infraction, effectively preventing and punishing those who try to do so. You can abuse this combination very easily to stupid effect.

Meanwhile, if I'm by myself, I normally just don't feel motivated to cook anything fancier than a sandwhich or a quesadilla. >>152193 Cooking can be very fun, and very gratifying, especially when you do well. I once organized a potion brewer chain to inspire similar sentiments. Just today I had fun working with leftovers. Seared some leftover roast in a pan as a means of reheating it, steamed it a little so it wouldn't dry out, used the leavings to build a sauce along with salt, pepper, oregano, coriander, and salsa. Cooked some corn, peas, and carrots in it, stirred in some leftover queso to make it a cheese sauce. All that in my bowl I fried up leftover rice in the skillet, hitting it with a little water here and there to get all the sauce residue up and into the rice without making it soggy. Frying the rice meant it soaked up my sauce really well. Finished by frying up some eggs to go on top. Best thing I've eaten in the last couple of months. Cooking is great.

Based on this information, it's highly likely that an Alpha Absol would be comparable in size to Arcanine which ordinarily measures at 6'03". Huge Absol is out there, you just need to look.

>>152255 It's probably a case of "Why?" Most great apes don't want anything that's in the water, and if some bit of food or something falls in the water it might be less trouble to just get another. So "Why do it?" The ability to swim gets reserved for when they need to cross a body of water or when they fall in the water. Weirdly, same thing happens with sloths, who are graceful and skilled swimmers. But will only get in the water if they fall on it and only swim enough to get the fuck out and climb the nearest tree. They could probably live longer and eat more if they became semi-aquatic and found some aquatic plants to eat or if they ate grass from riverbanks or something, but they refuse on principle.
>>152286 Most people believe the measurements are all bullshit because the heights and weights are weird in relation to one another, and the vast majority of Pokemon are bizarrely small. The most glaring irregularity is Wailord which shouldn't be able to submerge since it's so light in relation to its size. Anyone got an idea for a branch of Western magecraft that would be interesting to combine with Atlas Alchemy? Like some less obvious that western alchemy. Idea is in Kara no Kyoukai to pick up first rate to be an elite western mage, and Risen Legend for mastery of Atlas Alchemy. Like, you can straight up buy Arceus and have them willing follow you without breaking them. It sounds weird, but that is a thing in the jump. While normally I would not suggest any women from VG being worth a companion slot, I would suggest biting the bullet and taking one reality warper or wish granter. But at the very least, do not take any drawbacks. Just stay away from the rape farms and go explore the worlds and many are easy to survive as a man.

While any of these constructs can hold a personality designed for them by the creator any living things will not truly have a souls and only acts based on behaviours designated by the trickster. Where other deities must rely on worship to restore their energy needed for performing miracles, a trickster can substitute this for imbuing copious amounts of sugar to recharge. >>152441 There's a perk in one of the Castlevania jumps that allows you to eventually control even uncontrollable forms with training. How much would an Uratha jumper gain from being able to stay in war form without uncontrollable rage?
>>152454 >he created an incredible hulk(offscreen) who ripped a guy's head off for cheating on his wife, or somehing like that. So the show really is just for 40 year old housewives
>>152453 Why would you bring that monstrosity to light.
>>152456 No? this is just dark humor. he's not portrayed as good for doing that kind of stuff.
>>152432 >>152441 Also ALSO, if we're going full high level nonsense, then the Uratha per Shunned By Moon have access to Enlightenments, which are mimicking of the "legendary bodhisattva predators" that some elder Uratha are capable of eventually ascending into. Example Enlightenments include: >From the Jaws of Defeat: The first time the Uratha is defeated in a scene — being killed (even by total bodily annihilation), flung into a bottomless pit, etc. — they spring back from an unexpected angle, entirely healed and intact. >Hunter’s Attunement: The Uratha becomes aware of any impending threat or danger a number of turns before it actually arrives equal to her Cunning Renown, regardless of the impossibility of such knowledge. >Implacable Hunter: Whenever a supernatural barrier or obstacle would hamper the Uratha from reaching her prey, she reflexively enters a Clash of Wills against it with her Primal Urge treated as 10 and the rote quality on her dice pool. >Impossible Regeneration: The Uratha regenerates a single point of Aggravated damage each round. Unless wounded with silver, she can regenerate even from having her entire health track filled with Aggravated damage. >Inviolate Soul: The Uratha can reflexively spend 5 Essence to remove a Condition she suffers, regardless of its source or effect. >Jaws of Inevitability: When the Uratha attacks with her bite, nothing impedes it; the victim does not benefit from Defense, any form of armor, or any other capability that would prevent the bite from connecting or harming them. And our only example of a "Bodhisattva Predator" comes from Chris Allen doing an unofficial stat block for one on the Onyx Path forums, which kind of illustrates just how bullshit they were envisioned to be; >Bodhisattva Predator: Having transcended into something greater, Lycaon-Ur has an increased Essence Pool and Essence per turn capability. He is capable of entering the Sacred Hunt at any time without needing to perform the rite, simply gaining the Siskur-Dah Condition against a prey of his choice. He is a set part of reality and cannot be removed from it except by his death; attempts to delete Lycaon-Ur from the timeline, rewrite reality so that he is not part of it or otherwise utterly unmake him will fail. Lycaon-Ur here has an Essence pool of over 100 and the ability to spend 20 of it a turn, meaning he could get off 5 uses of Inviolate Soul alone before he'd have to replenish his pool.
Alright. I have Juri and A.K.I's partners figured out ahead of time. Need to determine mine. Gotta get Candlemon of course on this chain of all chains. Gonna have him turn into FlaWizarmon. Now I just need to figure out how to keep it very fire focused rather than swerving into more base fantasy stuff with Mistymon and Dynasmon as I normally do. I could keep it that way, but I'll try not to do that.
>>152455 Uratha can choose whether to enter Kuruth or not. It's just difficult when damaged or pushed very far, but they can still resist it's call even in Gauru. Not having to chance it at all would be useful though.

>>152468 I've mostly been laying about as the storm slowly blows in, so not really.
>>152437 Generic Erotic Horror has the Booty-Call of Cthulhu perk. It A) makes any summoning spells you cast prioritize individuals who would be willing to have sex with you and B) gives you a basic bitch summon spell that can pull up minor ghosts, demons or horrors beyond man's comprehension. What this perk does not do is curate for long-term relationship-seekers, or otherwise change the summons' behavior after your steamy encounter.
>>152437 Have you considered just having a horny wife?
>>152468 Yes, and I finished it. >>152239
I still haven't read Generic Erotic Horror. I constantly hear people recommend it, but I vaguely recall people saying stuff about it being done but not really being done but the creator refuses to call it done or something along those lines, and I'm not sure if that ever stopped being the case.
>>152437 Be a warlock in Warcraft. The succubi view it as a marriage contract and would make fun of the older single succubi. Then Blizzard lost their balls and retconned it to not working that way
>>152432 Eh, I kinda disagree. Relentless Assault doesn't matter in this case, neither does Efficient Killer + Cheap Shot since it's for ambush but I don't think it could even kill a Garou in war form, but I would need to check. Garou definely can put down an Uratha in Gauru form, I would agree their gifts are worse in general, but it is better at killing things, they have stuff like silver claws and easy way to stack rage, multiple attacks and aggravated damage and it doesn't really matter Urath regeneration since their aggravated protection is only for mundane stuff and not supernatural.
I would like your opinion on this item for Adventurers I'm adding to my Jump. >A Thread of Fate (400 CP) >Norns are known for their ability to manipulate the fate of others, often taking the form of golden threads they spin and cut. This single strand of golden thread, no more than a foot long, is a solidified piece of your own fate. So long as you have this thread on your person, you may subvert a single immediate event. A sword thrust to your heart misses and veers off to the side. A curse meant to reap your soul is interrupted at the last minute. A Spear you throw finds its home in your foe’s heart. Whatever it is, this thread will alter fate and causality itself to nudge things ever so slightly into your favorite. After being used in this way once, the thread is severed, and loses all power it once had. The thread will automatically activate to save your life should an event unavoidably kill you otherwise. Should it be a single-use per jump item, or should I give you a new replacement thread once a year?

>>152467 Rolled a 100 for her during vibe check rolls when I was looking into how the cast felt about me as I approached them with the SF6 protagonist perk. Most actually do not care for me that much even if I got them to teach me a few things; probably because I was asking some of my people to set up various scientific instruments and recording equipment before training, or the polite requests for blood samples. Anyways with A.K.I I wasn't really sure what the approach was gonna be since as previously stated she has a psycho and super yandere for F.A.N.G so I looked into her story mode stuff since I wasn't that familiar with her and had a moment of "oh fuck she's amazing." So now I'm pretty sure after the first time I see her stab a guy and go into the scientific name for what specific toxin is coursing through his veins and all of its myriad side effects, I'm going to be extremely interested in her company and teachings and following her around, and because of the previous roll she's also extremely interested in having someone to talk about her myriad interests with and enjoys my company a great deal in turn. F.A.N.G is very firmly trying to turn her romantic attentions towards me because he isn't into her at all which probably helps. >>152488 >>152489 I know it may have seemed obvious, but I was just a tad worried because Earthling has a 400CP perk that gives you extra lives like Rasputin has. >Soul-Stitched (400 CP) >Rasputin’s tenacity and liveliness is legendary, but have you ever wondered how he survived so many different attempts at his life? Through his occult research and rituals, Rapsutin was able to find a way to “stitch” his soul to his body, allowing him to postpone his demise at least a few times. Just like the Mad Monk, you too have undergone this Soul-Stitching Surgery. Should you be slain for the first time, you will resurrect at full health a few minutes later. Should you be slain again afterwards, then you will rise from the dead again, though with your health and magical potency reduced by half. Sadly, this stitching will now allow you to survive being slain a third time. This soul-stitching renews itself at the beginning of each new jump, effectively giving you three lives to survive with each Jump. Stitching/lives will not stockpile after subsequent jumps. So I'm a tad worried that I'm just making something that's objectively worse, though I guess the String is technically better since it can be used proactively to alter fate instead of just defensively like Rasputin's Stitchings Perhaps I should also make it so the string affects either you or whoever you entrust it to? >>152493 thank you will fix

It's literally no different from /pol/-tards bitching about blacks and saying it's relevant because there's a Modern Geopolitics Jump. Now, sure- some setting discussion is to be expected, and if people get really involved in that for a thread or two that's one thing. Saying, "What did you guys do in X Jump? Post X builds!" is fine. >But if you're asking stupid questions like "What is (blank) like as a waifu/husbando?" or "If you created the ultimate lifeform, would it be a good waifu?", then my sincere plea is for you to stop. Let the thread be slow and on-topic instead of letting it be constant off-topic noise, "post waifus", and "roll to X". >But it's kind of grating to see a lot of people have these off-topic discussions, rolling contests, fetish-bait shit, etc- and see that sort of thing get more replies than actual content creators posting their work. Shitposters have talked about the thread dying for years; but I think if anything kills the thread, it'll be apathetic Anons who would rather spam the same images and questions, roll dice at each other, and bite bait from Discord/QQ/SB/reddit. –YJ_Anon, 2023

...I had a somewhat funny idea. Arawn via the Cauldron absorbed Morrigan's power. Her divine essence, explicitly her soul and mind. While it is referred to as her ceasing to exist, one could argue that this is less a matter of annihilation, and more changing. What was Morrigan changed via the Thing in the Cauldron into itself and Arawn, and then after the Cauldron was destroyed, just Arawn. The essence of the Morrigan then, still exists, it is just now the essence of Arawn. So what I'm saying, is that I think my jumper is gonna chestbuster out of Arawn as the insertion-point, interrupting his monologue to Owen in the first two pages or so of the comic.

>>152485 >Rolled a 100 for her during vibe check rolls Fair enough. >>152419 This is…hard for me to answer. oWoD has much more simplified mechanics than nWoD. nWoD has much less clearcut lore than oWoD. Beyond the superficial impressive of “giant hard to kill wolf thing” it’s…hard to say who conflict resolution would favour. On the one hand Garou have much easier access to Aggravated, TANKING supernatural hits and lorewise are all warriors as that one anon said. We know at least Rank 6 Gifts exist and they include things like copying supernatural powers or summoning a giant wolf spirit to assist in battle. But there’s no clearcut ruling if they go even higher. On the other hand, like Argent said the Uratha can-depending on how you read nWoD rules that weren’t around for the Garou’s design philosophy-arguably dish it out much faster, have Kuruth to fall back on. Imo lorewise, someone being able to put silver on their claws should matter significantly and the Uratha are shit out of luck in that regard. While the “fuck you, I was fine” defense of From the Jaws of Defeat is really nice if the other wolf has silver I’m not sure how much the advantage of surprise would matter when both wolves keep regenerating. Lorewise the Uratha also did take down Father Wolf and this was at a time when “predator bodhisattvas” weren’t even hinted to be a thing, but the specifics were never defined. I would say the Uratha has the advantage in the short term and it’s best bet is to win quickly and brutally, but the longer the fight goes on the more of an advantage the Garou has.

>>152517 >Imo lorewise, someone being able to put silver on their claws should matter significantly and the Uratha are shit out of luck in that regard. Shard, one of their other Enlightenments, Impossible Regneration, already lets them heal regenerate a point of Aggravated damage per round (it only keeps them from recovering from a full track of Aggravated if silver is used). Now keep in mind that their regen in gpGauru is already better than what the Garou have and that Aggravated damage doesn't knock them out and they can keep accumulating Aggravated until they die. Now add in Jaws of Inevitability + Impossible Regeneration + From The Jaws and you have a mess that whilst I'd say the Garou COULD kill them if they're smart about it and very definitive, it's something that will rapidly swing out of their favor if they aren't careful. I'm obviously not touching Lycaon-Ur's unofficial statblock either because he just fucking eats them. >Lorewise the Uratha also did take down Father Wolf and this was at a time when “predator bodhisattvas” weren’t even hinted to be a thing, but the specifics were never defined. >>152615 Honestly, you'll start seeing the first cracks in the masquerade - as in, the tendency for supernatural stuff to hide itself, not the vampire society rule - within days. By a week or two and the internet and news will be full of stories about something someones cousin claimed they saw. By the end of a month or three, most factions are probably dedicating significant efforts to maintaining it and it's still failing. By a year, it doesn't exist anymore.
>>152615 Depends on how much the GM allows the NWO to actually use their infrastructure. They have access to mind wiping radio towers that can wipe all normies in a massive area if the GM is letting them use it this week. Otherwise I figure the masquerade will fall within a year at most.

Like from the Yama Kings’ perspective one day this massive font of demonic power forms a connection to one of their hells…and it just leaves the entire asian supernatural scene behind to go hang out with the Maeljin. Even as Infernal spirit-killer Charms damn souls to a specific Yama King’s hell, the actual Infernal could potentially be hanging out in Malfeas with zero contact to that Yama King. And that this is a BIG DEAL by Yama King standards, because in his Gehenna scenario Mikaboshi being able to harvest western damned souls at all via a backroom deal with a vampire is all it takes to tilt the scales fully in his favour to become the Demon Emperor. >>152626 Please remember not to literally name yourself off the first random band name you see on a poster during that process, someone probably thought that was cool/funny/like, so the 90s but that someone had bad taste.

They're powerful, but excepting PDs, not unprecedented for WoD. That, and Abyssals and Infernals are just as likely to come into conflict with Solars as any monstrous splat in WoD. >Dragonblooded are Exalted too. This doesn't matter. Exalts don't have some type-advantage against other Exalts, and being an Exalt doesn't make you a meme-level character who can only be beaten by other Exalts. Exalts are notable for the suite of powers provided by Exaltation, and the DB's are notably inferior to other Exalt types (even their "Perfects" are degraded). That DBs were able to do it suggests it's not impossible to contain Solars even without direct Celestial-tier power. >And generally had a lot more time to grow into their powers than fresh Solars. Much like every faction in WoD, yes?
>>152657 >That DBs were able to do it suggests it's not impossible to contain Solars even without direct Celestial-tier power. And how did they do this? Ah, right. SPECIFICALLY TRAINING FOR HOW TO COUNTER SOLARS WITH AID OF CELESTIAL EXALTS (SIDEREAL) Exalts in OWoD are explicitly out of context and very new to everyone. Nobody knows how to deal with them until it's far too late.
>>152642 I'd bet she could make the Weaver and Wyrm sane again, undo the inverted Avatars of Nephandi, strip the Fallen of their Torment, and in general do a lot of esoteric troubleshooting with the Silver Crystal and all that. The question is whether that's going to be how she approaches the problems.
Do you figure out in context manifestations of your drawbacks?
>>152657 >They're powerful, but excepting PDs, not unprecedented for WoD. Yes, Fresh Solars Who Just Barely Got A Handle On How To Solar are pretty powerful (but not unprecedented) for WoD. But they can grow stronger from there and become unprecedented forces. Kill them young, and the Exaltation just flies off to a new host, creating yet another Pretty Powerful Exalted with the potential to become a Big Fucking Deal if allowed to grow. And WoD isn't a united world fighting against every single Exaltation in existence in harmony; someone's gonna slip through the cracks, and start climbing up the Essence ranks and potential. >Exalts are notable for the suite of powers provided by Exaltation, and the DB's are notably inferior to other Exalt types (even their "Perfects" are degraded). You're really downplaying just how powerful the Dragonblooded at their height were, how much awesome gear they had, how much training they had, and how they would still fucking struggle against even individual Solars. Dragonblooded are still Exalted, and still had some Crazy Ass Powers despite being the "lesser" Exalted. Toss a fresh Dragonblooded against any newborn template from WoD; the Dragonblooded wins 10/10. Toss an experienced Dragonblooded against an experienced template in WoD; 8/10 on the Dragonblooded's side. It's only when you start getting to the Elder and high Rank powers that things tilt back in the favor of WoD, and I shouldn't need to explicitly outline that such powers are fucking rare even in WoD. So the fact that a fresh Solar is keeping up with something that can go toe to toe with experienced templates from WoD-in fact, going toe to toe with an entire hitsquad of such beings, fully geared up and specially trained to deal with the Solar? That should tell you something. >Much like every faction in WoD, yes? Yeah, every faction in WoD has their secret monsters and slumbering horrors. But again, WoD is not a united world, and those powers are fucking rare. A random guy Exalting isn't going to immediately wake every single Antediluvian in a 1000 mile radius to go end his life. Some random glowy fucker murderizing a local nightclub full of vampires isn't going to make entire covens of Archmages drop what they're doing and immediately begin working high sorcery to end the Solar's existence. WoD operates on a very loose idea of "let the low levels play amongst themselves, and don't disturb the old monsters". The truly dangerous fuckers who'd no-dif Solars and go toe to toe with experienced Solars are not awake and give approximately zero fucks about what's going on right now. And by the time they realize maybe they should do something about the weirdo in a horse mask, said weirdo will have grown to Essence 5 (which doesn't have an age limit) and is pulling out Glorious Solar Bullshit that can let them fight Antediluvians on even grounds.
>>152660 I try to.
>>152639 Watching his “I put this baffling/objectively terrible design choice here because it’s what makes sense to me, and I don’t care how good of an actual game it results in” style of game design is a special kind of agony because it reminds me of how some people play Jumpchain. The difference is supposedly Holden is making something intuitive and fun for any given gaming group to engage with but he’s treating it like his own autism ballpit which is negatively impacting the design structure as a whole. >>152642 >oWoD The highest level players are actually powerful enough to legitimately defeat her if they up on her. I’m talking about the extremely nebulous cosmic entities that exist on a greater scale than Cain despite his metaphysical significance. I’m talking about the possibility that Usagi might have to fight GOD depending on how much stock one puts in his benevolence. Another issue is that Usagi has no real way of communicating with Grand Maw and finding out ironically she’s NOT the highest priority existential threat to deal with. It’s not unwinnable but Usagi actually has to use her brain and pick her battles here, lest she end up overstretched dealing with THREAT NULL, the Wyrm and the Nameless’ masters while the Children are reuniting with their Neverborn souls, Ennoia is about to eat Gaia, various Yama Kings are making their plays for the Demon Emperor’s throne while every Earthbound is screaming for their servants to hurry the fuck up, and in general every single malevolent being is finding a way to seal/curse/otherwise shut down Usagi’s capabilities before she can bring her full power to bear. nWoD is, in my opinion, actually easier to deal with simply because all the malevolent entities are more isolated and have less skin in the game re: Earth specifically. She should be able to deal with most True Fae masks, Judge benbenets, Ochemata, child-spirits of the Uratha totems, Qashmallim and angels-but things at the 8th rank and upwards are probably where you start questioning if Usagi can win this. Given Chaos could corrupt her at all, I don’t think she’s ready to deal with Rank 9-10 shit period. As I said, fortunately most of those things are sealed or isolated away from reality as a whole, or in the God-Machine too nonsentient to really become an issue. And in the case of the Exarchs, Usagi could probably greatly weaken their powerbase by simply cleansing their influence from Earth much faster than any Dominion working-and thus enact profound change on the spirit world indirectly. So Usagi probably ends up being localised to the phenomenal world’s galaxy (and the Bright Dream, now it’s basically the anti-Beast part of the astral realm) as it’s guardian-which has a massive knockon effect on some but not NECESARILY all of the supernatural realms. But if she tries to step out of her lane, she’s likely getting her shit slapped back home (if she’s lucky). Albeit probably while doing grievous damage to an Annunaki or a Judge on it’s native plane or whatever. The God-Machine would actually probably be Usagi’s greatest immediate nemesis since her existence is a disruption to all it’s schemes which explicitly take place in the material universe, while ironically from what little we know of it the Principle might try to “help” Usagi in ways she’d find intolerable. At least in oWoD Usagi has potential allies among the more morally consistent Tradition and Hunter factions, and Changelings, and Lucifer. There is not really anyone Usagi can turn to as a genuine friend in nWoD other than maybe the Free Council of the Pentacle orders. Except Princess, if it exists in your chain. And Princess will probably be hiding behind Usagi’s skirts for any threat that actually requires Usagi’s direct attention. Although if the Empress of Storms is still capable of gratitude, she’d probably be an extremely loyal ally to Usagi once she just oneshots the Darkness.

Huh I wonder how many necrons would accept an offer to live as immortal fleshy beings in a virtual reality built for them. Like an artificial galaxy in a simulation where they have all their senses and bodies back from when they were alove (minus the cancer). How many would take that deal and get uploaded and how many would rather stay in the real world.
>>152658 NTA, but from what I remember exalteds in ExVsWOD actually had problems getting stronger due to essence problems.
>>152667 Yeah, due to the lack of environmental Essence in WoD they can't really go beyond Essence 5. But even Essence 5 is more than enough to pull out some crazy stuff.
>>152665 Pantsahat
>>152667 They can get up to Essence 5, but due to Essence draught, they can't really get higher currently. Do note that Exaltations are essentially generating essence and dumping it everywhere when they use charms, meaning that every Exalt is almost constantly improving the total amount of essence in the world, bit by bit.
>>152670 Don't they also need to live for a hundred years to reach Elder Essence? Even if they build up the required essence they still have a long term obstacle to overcome on an individual basis.
>>152671 There's ways to get Elder Essence without the age requirement...but like, it's still probably gonna take decades or even centuries for enough Essence to flood the world for it to matter at all, so.
(464.28 KB 1123x2048 Sailor Cosmos.jpg)

>>152663 Don't forget that if she survives long enough/is pushed hard enough to become Sailor Cosmos it's basically game over for the entire setting. Sailor Moon grows exponentially when faced with threats and despite her universe-shaking power she's nowhere even close to her true potential at the end of the series. Unironically there's a solid chance that if she ends up fighting something way out of her league she suddenly unlocks even more bullshit and gains reality-smashing cosmic power on a nebulous, nigh-infinite scale. So any enemies who fight her have to kill her very quickly or they are going to be out-scaled by Usagi frighteningly quickly.
>>152666 You would have to remove the mindless ones, the senile ones that are crazy and the ones that just want to be a robot and kill the fleshy inferior beings. So basically who in the Silent King faction would want that deal.
>>152673 >Don't forget that if she survives long enough/is pushed hard enough to become Sailor Cosmos it's basically game over for the entire setting Casmos couldn't even beat Chaos in her own setting without killing all life.
>>152675 Well yeah, no shit. Chaos is basically Nyarlathotep and Sailor Chaos would stomp all over WoD too if you let her loose there.
>>152642 She could solve the vast majority of oWoD's major problems, but the most powerful things are a genuine threat if they actually decide to get off their asses and marshal their immense powers before Usagi catches up to them. Good for her that most of them are incredibly fucking slow to react and won't be expecting a sucker punch like Usagi at all. nWoD is easier to deal with in many ways, but worse at the more cosmic scales. She probably can't blow away anything above Rank 8, but anything below gets vaporized when she destroys and recreates the universe sans the bad shit she's aware of. And the stuff that CAN kill her in Chronicles are very unlikely to actually notice or care about her overall.
Should've never smoked that shit, now Umbrella corp has the Blacklight virus

Which is both not a lot, and fucking vague. The best thing I can say about Usagi’s chances is that they’re not zero given Grand Maw can be killed with an Amazon rainforest’s worth of concentrated life energy, implying God can be killed with an equal amount of Oblivion’s death energy. The question then becomes how Usagi would get that energy without being corrupted herself. >>152676 The issue is that the Wyrm is legitimately operating on the same “could potentially destroy all life in the cosmos, ever, across all possible universes potentially depending on how you reconcile oWoD’s cosmology” level and is mainly prevented from doing so by the Weaver (and potentially the machinations of other entities such as God). So a decisive Usagi victory depends on Usagi picking her fights carefully lest she’s ganked before she has a chance to powercreep herself. That or set in motion the most optimistic interpretation of the 10th Sphere so a fully godlike humanity is there to back her up, at which point yeah she AND oWoD humanity legitimately sweep the setting. There is no such confirmed win condition in nWoD. Usagi is fighting much lesser battles in the shallows of the setting, but also much harder ones if she dares assault the Akathartoi/Annunaki/Judges/True Fae/Exarchs on their home turf or track down the Dark Mother. Either way, she’s largely doing it alone unless she really lucks out with a friendly Supernal/Goetic being of significant power she doesn’t find completely repugnant. Even if she helps the Pentacle win the Ascension War (something I’d rate as challenging mainly given the NUNACES of the Ascension War than that Usagi lacking the power to dunk on every single sub-archmage Seer enclave simultaneously) it’s unlikely Usagi would find it a wholly positive outcome given how inhuman even many non-Abyss-serving archmasters end up.
>>152681 So any of the WoD jumps let you include that version of Norfolk?
>>152678 Well that's going to be incredibly bad news... for Umbrella. Because the Blacklight virus isn't like the t-virus, it's not just some magic serum you shoot people up with to turn them into super mutants. Blacklight is a chimeric viral organism attached to a collective-consciousness that can absorb and assimilate people like the Thing and is (as we see with both Greene and Mercer) aware of and able to manipulate any instance of itself across at least continent distances. So what's likely going to happen is that Umbrella is going to snatch up a sample of Blacklight, try to do what Umbrella always does with dangerous viruses and take it to some isolated research facility to shoot people up with it. But the virus is going to be behave bizarrely and erratically and they're not going to understand why until researchers start inexplicably going missing. By the time they realize Blacklight has subsumed parts of their staff and are in the process of liquidating the entire facility, having locked all exits down with the highest security clearance so nobody can get out, and that the mutant monsters they "created" were just pretending to be retarded and are now hunting them down in coordinated groups, it's going to be far too late for Umbrella to do anything to stop it.

>>152696 The only person immune to Usagi's seduction is her daughter, who is trying to seduce her dad.

>>152702 No, Cosmos is absolutely Usagi. It's kind of questionable if Cosmos is still Usagi or not as part of her whole thing is that she died and passed on the mantle of Sailor Moon to Chibiusa (now Neo-Neo-Queen Serenity or something) and went through a whole reincarnation deal if I'm remembering right. And also she fights Chaos after living for like billions of years in any case. So frankly Sailor Cosmos is almost certainly not recognizably Usagi no matter what. >>152774 >Does anything there actually top "Get your soul dissolved into absolute nothingness, proceed to will yourself back into existence despite you not existing to have a will in the first place"? Yes. The Supernal gods and archmages can all cast magic capable of overturning history to have retroactively been true, and at the highest level of potential be virtually anything covered by death, matter, the mind, Prime (magic itself) etc. The Judges operate at the “enforce a cycle of death and resurrection so absolute that it outright ignores time paradoxes and interference from other reality-retconning magic, as well as enforce suffering as a cosmological constant”, the Exarchs operate at the “I’m the reality-retconning wizard who makes all the rules for all the other reality-retconning wizards, and I cast down or enslaved other reality-retconning gods back when I was mortal. Maybe” level, while the True Fae in their wholeness are at the “Those wizards tried to retcon reality to get rid of us, but we just showed up from timelines where they didn’t because we are the gods of time and fate” level. The Annunaki ARE stillborn universes made of other Abyssal entities, with one example being a cannibalistic history trying to supplant the real one. There’s a scenario where the God-Machine decides the universe should end, and just BREAKS all of reality, slowly digesting it all into a literal giant maw; I mentioned it as a scenario in the Demon the Descent jump. I am not kidding when I am saying there are things that would probablyslap the specific Usagi described early on’s shit if she fights them blind, AND without the time to have some powerups-because the scale of their threat and the nature of their abilities is more dangerous than anything Chaos ever showed. Things that could conceivably rip out her Star Seed and shatter it before she has a chance to do anything clever.

>>152788 >There’s a scenario where the God-Machine decides the universe should end, and just BREAKS all of reality, slowly digesting it all into a literal giant maw To be fair, the Contagion Chronicles aren't the God Machine doing it on purpose, so much as reality being a faulty piece of shit and it breaking down.

Even the act of fighting is something facilitated by the Wyrm being the Wyrm.

>>152788 >and I cast down or enslaved other reality-retconning gods back when I was mortal. Maybe Are WoD gods ALSO autistic?
Why are protections against mind control so much easier to get than protections against mind reading, you'd think the seemingly lower level effect would be easier to find good protections for. . .
>>152813 Because being mind controlled is scarier than being mindread
>>152810 >The Wyrm isn't enough of an entity for that Debatable. It’s enough of an entity to go kissy-kissy with the Weaver in one oWoD scenario where they destroy everything only to restart reality anew. The vague line of “too abstract for Solars to interact with” is difficult to draw because in the First Age they built defences against Shinma aspects as well as potential rogue Primordials, and because Charms like Shinmaic Calibration exist. >factor in a bunch of disparate cosmological lore That requires a specific interpretation of Woof lore to take precedence over everything else and is contradicted by, say, the mercy of Grandma. And I say specific because supposedly Gaia is on an even higher tier for vague reasons, despite losing to Ennoia in one Gehenna scenario. On the other hand, Kindred lore for example points to it just being a big spirit dragon. >>152812 Difficult to tell, but probably? Spirit and spirit-like beings are pretty bound up in their natures. Father Wolf was being lessened by the advent of agriculture but didn’t move to destroy humanity at any point.
>>152815 Like I said, it requires taking a bunch of disparate cosmology interpretations and general lore on the Wyrm split between several splats. It's not the one every writer defaults to sure, but it's there. >And I say specific because supposedly Gaia is on an even higher tier for vague reasons That isn't supported outside of extreme dumbfuck woof tribes. Pretty much everyone else agrees the Triat > Gaia and that she originated from a union between them in varying degrees. Depending on who you ask even, they'll tell you she's either mostly Wyld, mostly Wyld with some Weaver, a little of both, or an equal merger between Wyld & Weaver with some Wyrm in there to keep it balanced.
>>152813 There isn't the same rampant fear of mind reading there is of mind control. Oh, sure, someone reading your mind is probably unpleasant, both because you probably have secrets, old shames and pains, you don't want anyone knowing, and because in a fight, your opponent knowing what you can do, knowing what you're going to do, and knowing when you're going to do it is a major disadvantage. But being mind controlled? Losing your freedom to move or think or feel? Having someone else manipulate you like a puppet, potentially making you hurt yourself or others, or sentencing you than a fate worse than death? Ego death, where your mind, your very being, is erased, while your body is a toy for someone else? That's a primal kind of terrifying. Also, on a less philosophical level, there are more stories where mind control is the big threat versus stories where mind reading is a threat. Take Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, for instance: technically speaking, mind reading can be an issue, since the blue ghost aliens can read your mind (and possess you and knock you out and all that). But it's much less an issue than Zurg fucking enslaving the universe with his evil ray that makes everyone an extension of himself or that one cloth thing that could perfectly possess and mimic someone, so you get a capstone perk for anti-mind control.
>>152816 I mean, I bring up the Gaia thing because personally I think taking into account the most prominent inter-splat metaplot material for the setting as a whole (especially Days of Fire) it takes some serious mental gymnastics to put the Wyrm on a level comparable to Oblivion itself and not just “merely” be the big dragon-y cosmic spirit of destruction.
>>152813 Mind reading is easy to deal with. Just be a schizophrenic ADHD. Between the multiple voices, sudden shifts in thoughts, and lack sense of reality, you'll be a living memetic hazard for mindreaders.
>>152817 >But it's much less an issue than Zurg fucking enslaving the universe with his evil ray that makes everyone an extension of himself or that one cloth thing that could perfectly possess and mimic someone, so you get a capstone perk for anti-mind control. It’s kind of funny that in animated show appearances alone at least, Emperor Zurg was way more successful than Darkseid at obtaining a successful Anti-Life Equation.
>>152809 A challenge many jumpers face is dealing with locals who underestimate them. For such situations, I suggest a less overt, but setting breaking, display of power. In a modern Earth setting, for example, you might consider teleporting yourself and the local to the moon, insuring they can breathe and talk normally despite the lack of air, and when they ask why you did that say it was so the two of you could talk privately, making sure to act like the whole thing is so natural you don’t even realize why they find any of this strange.
>>152819 I still like the Tsukihime+Nier combo that makes reading your mind into reading through three consecutive or concurrent visual novels that all concern the same thing but are told in increasingly unhinged and schizophrenic writing.
>>152819 Or just be like Nubee

(38.00 KB 443x692 1000081353.jpg)

>>152813 You already have protections against mind reading.
>>152820 It's even funnier when you remember how easy it was for him, too. >Steal artifact that telepathically connects an alien race together >Just fucking touches it >Zurg is so evil that just him touching it is enough to corrupt this seemingly sacred artifact, making it shriek in pain, turning it into something he can use to connect others to his evil >Zurg's evil is, again, so powerful that the moment anyone is connected to it, they immediately become an extension of his will
>>152819 >How to be immune to telepaths >Step 1: Be Gohanposter >Step 2: Get out of town before someone can blame you for Professor X/Martian Manhunter going insane
>>152796 Shard you're just a scrub at the Dao of Drugs, Talent, and Luck. That shit only takes too long if you aren't eating 3 million year Ganoderma for breakfast and washing it down with a spiritual spring cocktail of Percocet and Molly. Or if you don't have the talent to just do that shit in less than a year. Worst of all, you might not even have the luck to stumble into the one artifact/place of cultivation that lets you instantly skip the cave dwelling shit. Basically, you're assuming you're not the main character, and if you decide to cultivate with this not as the case you're just kinda dumb. Also the problem with the Drakken strategy is that some alternate version if you TnJ'ing you can instantly throw you back down to hell. On the other hand you have cultivators that have to go through that as their heart demon test and figured out that shit doesn't work around 3 centuries ago. The upsides and downsides are very obvious in a cost to benefit ratio(if you aren't poor).

>>152805 I have no non-human companions written up right now, but after watching Dustin Couch's WildNumbers video yet again, I'm definitely going to include a 'scenario' in the Ocean Game for a Dentist-themed Mystery Man to be a looming overarching thing following you on the chain. >>152818 I mean you say that, but the Wyrm is (very consistently too): the Entropy part of the Mage/Technocracy Dynamism, Entropy, Stasis trifecta, the Abyss the Nephanfi have to descend through as part of their Descendion/attaining the Black Diamond and becoming universe-body godheads of pure suffering (said Abyss is directly equated to its maw), a peer to a Weaver who is alluded to as having woven numerous Tellurians before, often implicated as being - along with the rest of the Triat - a potential facet of God post shattering. And those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head. There's a lot that can absolutely be used to point to the Wyrm being directly comparable to Oblivion.
>>152824 I assume this is a coomer thing. Can you post the rest in spoilers? Or, at least I assume there's a "the rest.
>>152830 It's not porn, that's just the artists representative of his fanbase, so while the joke IS sex, it's just a joke.
>>152831 Diabolical.
>>152813 Someone being able to read that you're gonna nail them to a cross and eviscerate them is the set up to a comedy bit. Someone able to control you into doing that to yourself with no warning is the set up to a horror story. Obviously the latter has higher priority.
>>152832 I gotta say, being depicted as a batshit insane mercenary so crazy/depraved that it intimidates telepaths still feels more respectful than being depicted like this.
>>152834 There's also the possibility that someone who's confident or disciplined enough might just not care. Like, sure it's probably not pleasant or something to actively desire, but on the other hand all you'll find is someone who's ironclad in their beliefs, sticks to their routine, and probably got over most of their trauma years ago. Maybe they have a guilty pleasure or two. Not a great thing, but not something you need a whole distinct power to combat.

A terrible idea has once again emerged from the depths of my subconscious mind, and I need you guys to tell me exactly why it's so terrible. The idea, which came to me in a dream, is this: a very loose gamer/litRPG system where you gain XP, perks, and powers via doing your fucking school homework. You very pointedly get baseline intelligence enhancements to be capable of doing the homework at all, but as you progress and learn more stuff you also get new powers, augmented physique, and the like. The only reason you'd fall behind is slacking, and slackers will literally fall behind, being weaker, having less powers, and the like. Baka and Test for attention, and possibly as a source of subconscious inspiration.

Might be just me reading this half asleep but shouldn't this perk from Chronicle let you pull Gojo's 24/7 limitless without the need to use RCT to refresh the brain? >With Great Power Comes Great Leisure (-400): The power you have at your disposal is enough to make you untouchable to most anything you might encounter, true. But even you have weaknesses. If you don’t concentrate to keep up your defences, or aren’t quick enough to raise them, you are just another human, with all the vulnerabilities that entails. But no more. Pondering over this problem, and possible solutions to it, has caused you to gain quite an interesting skill. You no longer need to focus your concentration on abilities you wish to use. Wanna spend your whole life being surrounded by a forcefield without ever thinking about it? Why the hell not, as long as you can take the strain. You don’t even need to be conscious for your power to keep on working: if you wanted to, you could set your cruise speed to a comfortable tempo, fall asleep, and wake up having flown to the Bahamas for a quick vacation. You can also set up your powers to do some more complicated stuff, such as making a camera fly around and film you or automatically repelling everything within a set distance of yourself. Do keep in mind that all this is simply you unconsciously directing your abilities, so they will still cost whatever they usually do: take care not to die because you forgot to turn off an exhausting ability. But if you play it smart, you’ll find that it’ll at least decrease the chance of getting shot in the back.

You could ALSO automate your RCT to negate said strain, but then you're running against your own Cursed Energy reserves-and while this lets you do things automatically/unconsciously, it doesn't necessarily make you more efficient.

>>152955 So it isn't about taking sapient creatures and enslaving them to fight for money in cage matches? Pokemon is about if you beat it you claim it as a waifu and breeding slave. And the sapient pokemon are okay with this?
>>152956 >Nothing stopping you from being both, that's what I did Companion bloat stops me.
Anons, how many companions do you prefer? How many do you think are too many?
>>152960 I just took them as followers
>>152961 3 Companions is the max before having to make and keep track of all their builds becomes to tedious, I prefer only having one or two companions in most cases though and normally it's one male and female companion.
>>152957 So I'd still need to sleep or spam RCT eventually. God I'd kill for RCT or the Mafia guys's self hypnosis from Strange fake rn.
>>152961 I have over 100 but I was never one to really make build for myself let along others
>>152953 Gojo's power manifests a logical paradox into reality. If Goku punches at Gojo he can't reach him. If he punches at you he'll immediately break your forcefield
>>152964 You can just figure out RCT. It's not that hard
>>152967 It's kinda weird that ultra genius Gojo couldn't grasp it until he was almost dead but Yuta learnt in like 1 year of being a sorcerer. I guess it could have something to do with his copying thing.
>>152966 Yet another reading comprehension fail.
What are some items that would be good for a chinese warlord? I already have a guandao as a 100cp item and the mandate of heaven (a blessing to your administration) at 600 cp
>>152959 >And the sapient pokemon are okay with this? Friendly reminder that Ash's chikorita was a wild pokemon that he defeated in battle then proceeded to spend the rest of the episode rescuing from assorted plot nonsense. And the full episodes are apparently up on one of pokemon's youtube channels... Not something I was expecting to learn today.
>>152968 Higuruma figured it out in like a month
>>152918 >Somedaaaaaaayyyyyyy >I got to think about to love Ru first Wha-serious serious?
>>152968 The Six Eyes really are a crutch.
What's up, gaaaaaaaaaamers. Let's fucking game! *Cracks open can of gamer juice*

I want a second opinion on what's the better choice. 1: Sigmar 2 that also the peak of humanity. 2: An Orc that is very VERY Brutal and Cunning enough to be the chosen one for both Gork and Mork. 3: Nagash II. 4: A Greater Daemon that has been crowned Everchosen which the Chaos Gods give knowledge and advice with no drawbacks simply because they GENUINELY LIKE HIM.
>>152976 Pick either 2 or 3, but jesus avoid 1 and 4 like the plague. >But- No. I don't care, any choice that leads away from Archibald and Age of Sigmar-era Sigmar is the correct one.
>>152975 Gib doe, gib dino, gib gote. Our party is way too cute.
>>152976 4 if you're not a huge pussy.
>>152975 Break doe, discard dino, use gote. The plan is way too inevitable.
>>152961 4 is about the maximum amount of work I care to do. After that any additions are fucking followers.
>>152976 I wiuld go Nagash route but I love dark magic and necromancy. And now I got stupid idea. Start chain as Necron and after 1k years go to Tomb Kings or other way. In 3rd jump you can be human, skeleton or robot. And add all magic and tech. Lets roll what to jump first: 1- Necrons 2- Tomb Kings 1d2 = 1
>>152970 A Kiriyu
>>152983 >A Kiriyu the fuck is a kiriyu?
Any last issues or questions before I upload Amateur Surgeon? >>152850 You aren't fiat-backed to lose. However, the whole point of the drawback is that you aren't facing a low-to-mid tier eldritch god. The different price tiers aren't the level of the god after you, but how many points you receive with each consecutive purchase. Did I just straight-up forget to explain in the drawback itself why there are multiple payouts listed? That feels like a pretty glaring oversight for nobody to call me out on. I'll make a small update with more clarifications. Maybe even raise the payout for the first purchase to 800 D.
>>152977 Weren't you going to post some perks or something?
I wonder what Hunters from Hunter The Vigil would think of random ass kid getting Solar powers. ...Imagine: Hunter dad. Solar Big Brother (by 14 seconds!). Mage Little Sister. Dad is seriously trying to help his kids, but misunderstands fucking everything.
>>152975 I activate Gem-Knight Fusion.
>>152987 Isn't Vigil NWoD?
>>152989 Yes, but funny.
>>152991 Hunter: the Reckoning is the oWoD, if you want to go with that. Also, bear in mind that the ways that hunters misunderstand things isn't even the same between different hunter groups. They are all running in the dark (with loaded shotguns).
>>152986 Oh shit, I forgot. Too busy jumpmaking. >Please See Me As I Am (100 CP): There’s something about you that brings out the honesty in others. This may sometimes result in fights, but you’ve got a knack for cutting through the assumptions and preconceptions others make of you to express yourself as a person. Perhaps not coincidentally, you’re good at reading people to gauge who they are. A useful talent for telling a true companion apart from a snake in the grass.
>>152984 >Kiriyu Sorry I meant a Qilin
Guys, give me recomendations of Wuxia jumps.
Would the God Emperor of Mankind benefit from a Solar Exaltation, or does his own stuff overshadow it?
>>152997 Anything he does he does at a scale incredibly more vast than anything the exaltation can offer except bureaucracy charms which would be extremely useful to fix the Imperium.
>>152992 Clarification much appreciated. Have a great day.
>>152997 The God-Emperor has botched every single Charisma/diplomacy roll he's ever made. A Solar Exaltation would at least allow him to lessen the blows of his botches. Or make things far, far worse.
