Music thread Anonymous 11/02/2024 (Sat) 14:53:59 Id: 4a6370 No. 1034362
Last one is bumplocked and at Page 10
>>1561128 I already said nigger in the post anon. You've got to use some variety in your slurs, and I don't get to use North American Pavement Ape very often. It's one of my favorites.
>Are we allowed to discuss vidya music? no summary execution I know it's cliché, but the 1990s really was a bright spot for vidya music. Plenty of games still have good music today of course, but it feels like AAA has decided a perfunctory orchestral soundtrack is what "polished" games sound like. The last AAA game I remember having good music was Mirror's Edge, I'm sure there have been many others I either can't recall or haven't played.
I just remembered The Alters has an theme that reminds me of Mirror's Edge, but the game's music by and large doesn't sound like this. A lot of its music was actually already posted in its own thread >>1556317
What are your favorite vidya tracks that have a different feeling when taking into account the other sounds that play with them in-game? Stain blasting in the background, accompanied by rifle fire and booster sounds is the best.

My favorites from Half-Life
>>1561071 Are the other 10% mostly Souls games? Feels like I've yet to hear anyone talk about them. At least with Lost Kingdom, I accidentally realized a connection.
God I love Half-Life Music
Play this fucking game. The music is fucking amazing as well as the game, but is best heard during their story moments
>>1562699 >Are the other 10% mostly Souls games? Yes. >>1563168 Waiting on a good sale. Einhander everyone is familiar with. I've always loved this track, When this track kicks on during this fight. It is one of my all time favorite boss fights. It's just prefect https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tGjB0b6wXU.
>>1563200 Fuck your sale, it's unironically worth full price which is only 50 dollars in the age of 80 dollar games
What's the difference between this thread and >>1034362 ? >>1563168 The music in this game is really good, but trying to listen to any tracks that I have enjoyed so far while avoiding spoilers is like trying to walk over a minefield. My favorite aspect of the sound design is how the victory themes are just unique variations of the battle themes.
>>1563327 Realize I fucked up and deleted the filenames. Those songs in order are. >Nerves in the Dark >Warrior's Sword >Where the Heart's Frozen >A Witch in Sunshine And here's some more.
>>1562690 >>1562729 The atmospheric ambient tracks is what does it for me. Delta Particles also has a great soundtrack which unfortunately I can't find compiled anywhere.

Does original music from fan games count? If so, a real one, and then... less real.
>>1561575 moon cricket is also a pretty good one
Not a 100% videogames, but if you like Armored Core 4's to through even a few of Verdict Day's soundtrack you should give pic related a listen, it's a mix of both rearrangements of pre-existing tracks and original songs that manage to capture the same feelings of the previously mentioned games
>>1907238 That's great, thanks anon!
This game and this ost is absolute cinema
