Forgotten and Underrated Anonymous 04/18/2025 (Fri) 03:12:14 Id: ef5325 No. 1125045
Post games that don't get enough attention
>>1129771 People keep saying it plays eerily similar to Dark Souls despite it being an obscure Spanish game, and honestly it IS kind of true. You wonder if Miyazaki at least played it sometime. But I hold it clear that the game has some of the best dark fantasy aesthetics of any game, and it's aided very well by the (at the time) excellent lighting. Everything looks crisp and clear. I just wish it had a bigger modding scene since the entire game is coded on python files.
>>1129824 I think I heard of this game like twice ever. When it was announced and in the Switch 2 direct.
>>1129942 And yet it's fucking awesome. Has a free demo.
>>1125045 >Back in 2008, they said The Force Unleashed was bad because it gave Vader a never-before-mentioned apprentice who was ultra-powerful and helped start the Rebellion >The same year, they also gave us Ahsoka, Anakin’s never-before-mentioned apprentice who ended up becoming basically immortal and played a part in multiple decisive events Pretty hilarious in the hindsight. >>1130030 It’s a 16-year-old game from an IP that’s been in heavy decline for over a decade and isn’t even part of the timeline Disney is currently pushing. Plus, tbh The Force Unleashed doesn’t have that many memorable moments outside of the scene where you pull down a Star Destroyer.

For me, it's playing through the game as Darth Maul
Edgy donut steal character that defeats everyone in Starwar. This shit was ass
>>1131018 >that defeats everyone in Starwar Vader was canonically playing with him and Palpatine fucking kills him
>>1125045 >Vader has a "secret" apprentice that the emperor actually knows about and they betray him so he can bring all the rebels together in one place This was retarded and it was dumb that we were killing stormtroopers because Galen was a "secret" apprentice.
>>1125045 I enjoyed this when it came out. Is the sequel really as bad as everyone says?
>>1130076 >when the game came out no one cared about the tomboy waifu as that was the standard back then <KMN the helper robot that tried killing you will always be remembered by me >already forgot the name ignore this fact, there are two parts I remember always part 1: he changed into that red demon sith guy and tried killing us when we were least prepared for him to fullfil his programmed duty part 2: in the dlc, we find his scrapped body, and he will let himself get shredded to serve us one last time. it gets even sith starkiller emotional and he is modified to no longer have emotions I really wish he had a more memorable name
>>1178454 the sequel isnt bad the action is better and there is more NO WAY THEY DID THAT moments in it you make han solo kill chewie the story is also pretty neat but it ends with you being not as strong as you were at end of 1 and losing all your potential and ends with a sequelbait it does explore some pretty good concepts in the star wars universe first game explored master and padawan relationships and this game explores clone relationships with the original body's lovers and everyone's reaction to jedi clones
>>1125045 I consider this to be sega's most fun game to date. and no one gives a shit about it cause it was just published by them and its a sony exclusive movie tie-in
>>1178454 Yeah, it's garbage. Has a few cool moments but the first one had the better story.
>>1178683 >ends with a sequelbait Then Disney buys Star Wars, cancels TFU 3, and basically reboots the games with a less edgy but shittier protagonist.
>>1125045 Ill never forget playing unleashed 2 and beating it after 5 hours. Couldnt believe that shit thank god i pirated it

>>1194519 I remember playing through Force unleashed 2 after the first one as a kid and thinking "Is that it?" I think it was the first game I actively didn't like up to that point. (I was 9 when I played it btw) Still though, I like that you could decapitate people, made you feel even more powerful as a jedi/sith/gay man
>>1194808 Yeah, the gameplay was great and in general an improvement over 1, but damn, it was short as fuck. Its like they made a dlc and sold it as a full game
(392.77 KB 1565x1365 1578185357968.jpg)

>>1194862 The dev was pressured by the publisher to get the game out asap, likely because the buyout of Lucas Art was close. Anyway, it was rushed and it showed, even for the DLC's and arena bits.

>>1194902 >The dev was pressured by the publisher to get the game out asap, likely because the buyout of Lucas Art was close. Anyway, it was rushed and it showed, even for the DLC's and arena bits Wait a sec, I've seen this shit somewhere...
>>1125045 Buddy it was great on the Wii and everything else was just trash. Even the DS version was just one of the most mid experiences ever. It got five trillion re-releases across every platform since it first came out. It still gets re-released. I wouldn't be surprised if a full on remaster or remake was under way. >>1130030 It was a lot of fan service slop for sure. It was good slop but still slop none the less.
>>1125045 If they fixed the PC port, this game would have a resurgence.
>>1263803 Best you're gonna get is more unoptimized soulslops, sorry anon
>>1194862 >the gameplay was great and in general an improvement over 1 The excessive amount of QTEs was getting on my nerves.
>>1125045 The game is not underrated. I hate how /v/ calls everything bad so I'll just say its mediocre.
>>1129824 didn't this just come out?
>>1263803 if the pc port is of the wii version people might play it for the multiplayer

(189.09 KB 928x1080 warhawk_titleart.jpg)

MAG and Warhawk are 2 almost-forgotten Sony titles that immediately come to mind for me. MAG was one of the biggest MMO FPS games that was out on console during its time. I always found the game's setting to be fascinating because it's a prime example of 2010s futurism. >Set in the 2020s (ironically 2025 to be exact) >End of History and globalization in full swing >Near future rugged military aesthetics >A bunch of badass PMC factions fighting a shadow war against each other for profit and resources Warhawk on the other was just an overall entertaining online 3rd person shooter game >Both infantry and vehicle combat were entertaining >Cool map designs >Customization that didn't go over the top and felt perfectly fitting for the game's setting >Unique aesthetic, almost feels like it takes place on an isolated human planet in the 40k universe that was somehow never discovered by the Imperium of Man after the Age of Strife >Type of game you can always see yourself coming back to it every now and then for some fun >Sony pulled the plug on the game, but still has a small cult following player base that still keeps the servers alive to this day Both have a lot of potential in today's market, but it's guaranteed that Sony would somehow fuck it up.

>>1194919 I'm still quite pleased at how well the KOTOR designers managed to come up with a mirror analogue for C-3PO and R2-D2 in HK-47 and T3-M4. Both are visually interesting and the inversion of roles was a good choice for the biped. Shame they're dead forever.
>>1278598 Always felt more like a sandbox demo than a game. The second game in particular was like that, and you had virtually no consequences for your actions.
Boy do I love LEGO

>>1343147 <gen alpha got Roblox except it's multiplayer and btw join our prison escape server and get beaten up also join discord (it's all trannies)
>>1125045 It's disappointing that Sony has some good titles like Wild Arms and Ape Escape, but they're stuck in cold storage.
>>1343217 I'm still gaslighting myself that a Skies remake will happen.
