The entire Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
I tried multiple times to get into it, but it just doesn't click for me. I can see why people who enjoy speedrunning might get into it, but beyond that, I just found all of the games to be boring, whether that be the newer 3D titles, or the older 2D sidescrollers.
The Final Fantasy franchise.
I never saw anything particularly alluring, interesting, or even attention grabbing about this series at all. It all just seemed so bland and generic to me. The ONLY thing I can remember grabbing my attention even slightly about the series was the sheer size of Cloud and Sephiroth's swords, and the fact that everybody else seemed to enjoy it.
Counter Strike
Hoooooly shit. I'm gonna rant a bit on this one. Hands down the absolute WORST gun mechanics of any shooter I have ever played. Never have I anywhere else seen a shooter that requires you to come to a dead stop if you want your shots to go anywhere fucking near the crosshair. I'd say it's more like a rail shooter than a regular shooter, but at least proper rail shooters don't give you the illusion of maybe, just maybe, being able to move and shoot at the same time like you can do with literally every other shooter ever made with zero issues. It feels like an early version of the modern Call of Duty entries - Every weapon does a fucktillion damage so basically everything kills you instantly, aside from a handful of weapons that do jack shit. At least Call of Duty has regenerating health. With counter strike? "Oh, you're at less than 10 health? Guess you're fucked lmao. Healthpacks? Get fucked, nerd." And yes, I am saying, unironically, that even the newer Call of Duty games are better than any given Counter Strike entry.
It boggles my fucking mind that anyone can find this shit acceptable, let alone enjoyable. The fact that these dogshit games are considered an e-sport and regularly have massive tournaments on the scale that they do, is a sign that there is something seriously fucking wrong with not just the industry, but the consumer as well.
