I argue the Mines of Khuras is the worst dungeon in the entire series. It's of course fucking enormous, but most early TES dungeons are. The real issue is how poorly designed it is. >Requires a lot of platforming in a game that does not have good controls or movement physics >A million complex interconnected hallways >Absolutely full of dead ends >No obvious path towards the goal >Most of it looks the same Many dungeons in the first game suffer these problems, the first floor of the Elden Grove is kind of a mess and the Labyrinthian is annoying with all its tunnels, but I don't think any of them have it to this degree. It has a lot more treasure than most dungeons, that's something I guess?

Is there a way to pirate ESO and play entirely privately by yourself with custom software like you could with WoW back in the day? I don't think I actually want to play ESO, I'm just curious.

What are the strangest series retcons you know of? In the original games, Dagoth-Ur was the name of the Red Mountain. In TES3 they turned it into a person and created House Dagoth around it. The volcano is still sometimes called Dagoth-Ur, but it puzzles me why Kirkbride decided to do any of that.

OpenTESArena has hit 0.16.0. It's now vaguely playable! The music a little borked if you can't tell. Not as many updates this time, but actual gameplay is a huge step forward. Well, LeFay is dying. I'm sure you've seen the thread and already know the story. https://archive.ph/p7z9e It's an absolute tragedy he never got to finish Wayward Realms, and the industry never truly gave him his flowers for his influence. This might be inappropriate considering the gravity of the situation, but I don't see a bright future for OnceLost after this.

So, I actually gave that Not The Elder Scrolls game by a Polish studio a 2nd chance. I actually had dropped it once getting to the first hub city as the writing took a nosedive with some characters who were getting too quirky and reddit "funny" for my taste. I'm glad I did, because characters like those start getting rarer and the game continues to be proper dark and griddy. Despite plenty of jank, there is no level scaling cancer and the combat is varied and enjoyable.

Missed doing the new TD release due to some computer issues (normally play every new release). Decided I'd finally do a clean install directory with OpenMW rather than the dirty directory I've been using for a decade. So far I've got >most of the I Heart Vanilla list >TD, TR, SHOTN, PC, TotS >NCGDMW Lua Edition >Hit and Miss Indicators >CharGen Revamped >Vanilla Style Body Replacer (+TD version) >Familiar Faces >Speed Haste (Makes Speed boost your attack and cast speed. Seems good for making pure mage more viable.) Any recomendations? I actually find MW's combat actually decent once you figure out everything, but overly opaque and poorly balanced, so I'm not looking to totally change everything, but welcome tweaks.
