Unironically I think the character designs in Highguard might be worse than Concord, I can at least remember what Concord's characters looked like. And they had one good design with the cute robot.
>>2010755 It's getting coopted as a marketing buzzword now, because people associate indie games with good things
>>2010769 That should tell you how inflated modern budgets are. I'm not sucking E33's dick, but considering the quality of the game compared to AAA titles? yeah you can see how publishers are being retarded with the money
>>2011849 They're not being retarded, executives are embezzling most of that money.
I didn't follow any of this, I actually slept through this entire thing. Anyone know who won what and also care to explain why there's a game that I've never heard about?
None of the games looked any good and that Divinity trailer was trying way, way too hard to be shocking. Typical of Larian, I bet the normalfags are excited for it though.
>>2012050 e33 won
>>2012062 That's the game I've never heard about. Is that some kind of joke? Like E3, but two 3s?
>>2012066 You never heard of Expedition this year? It's been pretty popular.
>>2012067 I honestly forgot about the game after whatever Jewtuber talked about it when it released.
Honestly, I'm surprised Expedition 33 won. Not because I hated it, I don't care about the game at all, but usually the winner of these things is due to recency bias. The fact that a game from around January won is kind of insane, it breaks the pattern.
>>2012099 normies loved the baguette game
>>2012099 It came out in April. But that's still the first half of the year, I guess.

>>2012099 Embrace, Extend, Extinguish lol
OK important question. What's the roundup for demo and surprise game releases in the wake of last night? And on what platforms?
>>2012148 There a demo for Pragama out on Steam (other platforms later). E33 had new content drop on top of the awards too. I can't think of any other demos or shadow drops.
>>2012162 Huh, I would have figured that Nioh 3 would have released another demo. I don't have much confidence after the first demo but I'm still curious enough to see if anything has been improved.
>>2012099 I'm surprised Arc Raiders won an award considering Eurogamer was angry about the AI voices
>>2012179 One is coming but it's not out yet. I think there was a date for new demo but it's not out yet.
>>2010401 Pretty shit to be honest. There was only a handful of legitimately cool announcements and E33 constantly winning everything eventually became sad and predictable. >>2012179 There's a new Nioh 3 demo coming in late January.

>>2010103 It's crazy how much losing a ton of weight, fucks you up. >>2010076 >Neat How come there's so many people who have hope for AC8 after Bamco has gone mad with greed? >>2010057 >>2010063 >>2010067 I'm surprised Disney hasn't used its clause to start bumping people off. >>2009930 >Kill lolis >Skin lolis >Become lolis >>2010251 >I don't know why we're getting another classic megaman Most well known now. >instead of something like X9 or Legends 3 Because X involves a far more detailed story and character models and Legends is dead, you grave digging sack of shit. X deserves the death or the rape but Legends is thankfully well beyond the grave. >>2010231 That's the power of not giving a fuck >>2010275 >EA I wanna see what the Saudis do to it first. >>2012148 That picture just makes me think of Testament instead of Diana.
>>2012520 Because Bamco still puts out some gems
>>2012534 I'm tellin' ya, Bamco's gonna gut all the planes you like and sell you one or two of them back in an expensive pack stuffed with stuff you care little about.
>>2012548 I'm pirating it anyway
>>2010251 Classic Mega Man is the most well-known out of all the franchise. Capcom probably wants to test the waters for a new MM game again, forgetting the fact that MM11 is the best selling game in the franchise, so of course people want a new game in the series. I bet they could announce a new game in any of the previous sub-series or even a new one entirely and it'd probably do well. >>2010264 >X7-X8 besmirched the series Don't you mean X6-X7? X8 is generally considered to be a good game, although I haven't really played it.
>>2012561 >3D And after X7 I don't think anybody wanted to try X8. Capcom barely bothered to advertise the PS2 games in Europe as well.

>>2012561 >Capcom probably wants to test the waters for a new MM game >Not new MM movie they sell off to the most incompetent fucker they can find Anyone knows how well Crapcom handled the X collections?
>>2012597 Biggest issue with the X collections was the massive input lag, you're better off emulating as there's almost 1 second delay when you hit a button.
>Literally Me Dragon (fat) was the only interesting reveal grim >dubbed world premier grim
>>2012774 Didn't you see anon creaming themselves over Ace Combat 8?
>>2012774 >not fellow megaman enjoyer
>>2012831 >3D assets It's shit, and they're likely going to announce an X game before 2027 as well to coincide with the 40th anniversary.

>>2012964 >as well to coincide with the 40th anniversary >Crapcom doing anything meaningful for Mega Mans anniversary
Was at a party hanging out with friends and one of them is a tourist so naturally he likes E33 and wanted to see how many awards it was going to win, so he had the event on, occasionally we'd tune in with him and we came out with the game 'spot the gay' where we'd speculate if whoever comes on stage is from the LGHDTV community or not through their looks. The numbers were disproportionate. It got out of hand when the whole E33 devs got onto stage at the end. I'm personally most interested in the not-Yakuza game and the new game from Frictional. Megaman had a grand reveal but I still need to catch up on the series to get any sort of excitement yet. The soundtrack cue from Megaman 2 was cool though. When reading about the bizarre final game reveal, I've realized that publishers actually pay Geoff millions to get their games features (never thought about it before), and it gets Kore expensive the longer the trailer goes, so this got me thinking, its probably one of the reasons why we get so many of these worthless short CG trailers instead of real gameplay segments, most companies only want to shill out 1-2 minutes of ads on this event and I guess that's not enough for a proper gameplay showcase. Of course this isn't to say that's the only reason this happens but it could be one in a list of them and I just found it interesting. The independent events like the 3 first party "Direct" mostly show actual gameplay from what I remember, so this further proves the theory above. In short: Geoff is to blame.
Both of the studios making these games were founded with the Chinese company NetEase who said they were closing down their Japanese studios to significantly scaled back its overseas expansion and their Steam store pages for these game puts them as self-published. Does anyone know if this is something like Dave the Diver where despite the site classifying it as self-published the game was backed by Nexon, is this a situation like Mana where the studio closes down immediately after the game release so no money goes to the actual devs or are these two games an actual best case scenario where both studios managed to buy themselves out and actually become independent?
>>2010462 >>2010463 >AC8 >TW40K >PODRACING That's three.
