>>1944437 Ry Geimu reeds to bree nomi-nated for moar awarrds, Gerrof.
>>1944437 Kojima or Miyazaki anon.
>Best Narrative >its was all a dream >UPS simulator >I'm a woman hear my roar >medieval cuck simulator >pretty boy yokai Wow, its fucking nothing. >Independent games >all these game publishers only megabonk and HK are should be on that list, Supergiant first game was released under warner bros. they are a A game development studio, not an interdependent one. >Best Role-Playing >no rpg games Vogel released Avernum 4 this year, his games are more RPG than any of these "rpg" games.
>>1944478 >its was all a dream Thanks for letting everyone know you didnt play the game
Whilst E33 was not my personal GOTY (that would be Khazan), I wouldn't mind if it swept everything.
>>1944495 the painted world is a separate world that has not effect in the real world, its like a playing a video game, you turn it on, characters come back, you turn it off, characters disappear, there is no long term consequences and far as I know it was just a dream. >but the painted characters do you care about the lives of NPCs every time you turn off a game ? I don't care, they are not real, they are simulated entities, they are not intelligent, they don't have any desire beyond what is being given to them, they exist only to entertain me, its the same thought I have for the characters in E33, no one them try to rebel upon realizing their lives will end when the lady leaves the painting, they are NPCs in a game, and thus there is no reason to care about their fate. >but the personal journey of the red head lady Exactly, its a teenage drama about depression, addiction, and a story about dysfunctional family, the moment I realized this I lost all interest I had for the game, I see what you are doing game, just because you have unique designs doesn't change the fact its a normalfag tier story.

>>1944611 Use spoilers, goddamn.
>>1944478 >>I'm a woman hear my roar The endless inane, frothing at the mouth seething Ghost of Yotei has produced for daring to have a protagonist with titties and not in a swimsuit makes it worthy of GotY imo.
I never have hopes for TGAs but the nom list was still a letdown. The categories are all weird, why wasn't the Alters nominated for best sound design yet dudebro FPS were? It always feels like a recap of the most popular games of the year.
>>1944437 Nominations as horrible as always At least there's announcements
>>1945257 Most companies I like don't even participate in this shillfest. Only thing I want to see is a From announcement
>>1944437 I never had enough willpower to force myself to watch this crap.
>>1945742 Lucky you!
>>1944437 Haven't played any of the games that released this year, so going purely off second hand info. >GOTY E33 or riot >Direction Split fiction or E33 >Narrative >>1944478 , So I guess E33 by default. >Art Direction E33 I guess >Score I dunno, does Hades 2 have the same music team as the first game? If so, give it to them. >Audio Nobody cares >Performance I wouldn't know, probably the two names I actually recognize (Charlie and Troy) for being Hollywood actors >Accessibility Who cares >Ongoing Rivals seems to have the least stigma attached >Independent E33 Again? Hollow Knight feels more indie than E33, and fans would be pissed if they won nothing. >Action Either Hades 2 or Doom TDA >Adventure Silksong >RPG E33 >Fightan <So few games released this year 2 collections are nominated I'd love to see VF win, but it's gonna be 2XKO >Family Bananza >Sim Alters? Maybe Civ 7? >Sports I dunno >Multiplayer Nightreign? >Adaptation Splinter Cell's the only one I've heard nothing about, so that by default. (Haven't heard of an Until Dawn adaptation either, but the original game was shit IIRC) >Anticipated Probably RE, what I've seen of the rest (sans 007 which I'm hearing about only now) doesn't inspire much confidence >Eceleb What have they all been doing recently? Pick the least shit one I guess >>1944683 >What is pattern recognition >We haven't been conditioned by a streak of Uncharted 4, Horizon, TLOU2, Concord, and (upcoming) Intergalactic to expect absolute dogshit from Sony Yotei's a mediocre 6/10 only because they weren't as aggressive with DEI pushing (for once) and will be forgotten next year.
(389.25 KB 491x654 fuck is this shit.png)

>that lineup Save perhaps for E33 (That I still have yet to try but Cultic distracted me), I'm not impressed, especially the racing games, it's just Mario Kart (and people said this one was disappointing), its direct opponent and F1 (that I heard was also disapointing). It just makes me want to know what other racist games came out this year instead.
The awards to games ratio feels pretty slim, making the already redundant GOTY awards feel even more redundant. Might as well add categories like "game with the best scents" or "boldest use of the color gray".
>>1945866 Big fan of "Best Family Game" aka "The Nintendo Award"
(26.14 MB 1280x720 GeoffAward.mp4)

>>1944437 >gaymers votes only account for 10% >journalists account for 90% Shits rigged and retarded
>>1946037 Ideally this is right way to do it in practice, the popular vote is botted to shit and in general selects for the most obsessively online people by nature of how the votes are taken and the journos all hate videogames on top of being political activists who base every decision around "what would make the chuds mad" type logic people complain a lot about systems and governance and stuff like that, but at the end of the day it's the people who suck first and foremost the systems are fucked up too, and at this point everyone knows TGAs is the Tencent ad segment, but even if it weren't the people would still suck
>>1948180 The risk of autistic retards using bots is a far lesser harm than letting game journos and the industry decide everything.
>>1944478 Somebody actually pulled out from TGAs over the ""indie""" noms.
>>1949043 The megabonk guy, 3d vampire survivors
>>1949038 I dunno. When the anime awards were pure polls the fujoshits brigades and Yuri on Ice won everything. There are groups of fans just as cancerous as journos.
Why do you guys do this to yourselves? That glimmer of hope that they'll massively screw up?

>>1949556 Because one year is long enough to forget I guess. I've had good memories shitposting with everyone before. Maybe sometimes something gets announced and I go "Oh that's kinda neat maybe I'll play that." Maybe it's just because I still like video games and not much else and this is one of the way I stay engaged.
>>1949556 I want to see my favorite Rabbi Bill Clinton on stage, that's all
>>1949556 Because, no matter what, someone ends up as the butt of the joke.
>>1949038 the same people who pay journos will just switch to paying Indian engagement farms modern botting is done at the hardware level, they literally have desks and walls with thousands of phones in dinky ass buildings operated by 1 guy per 100 devices
Requesting Carol (Onirism) doing the Jeb meme.
>>1945252 >It always feels like a recap of the most popular games of the year That's because it literally is just that.
>>1952770 >>1952774 I've heard multiple people say White Knuckle is one of the best indie games of the decade, it's one of the highest rated games on Steam this year (98% at 6000 reviews) and yet it got no nominations. It's literally a popularity contest, couldn't have smaller titles taking away slots from the eight DS2 nominations.
>>1952784 That was actually nominated at the Golden Joysticks this year
>>1952784 >White Das racis! is the game any good?
