Make this not become a trend, each game should have its own style, but styles will always be a trend, so just deal with it. And we've had the most diversity of artstyles in gaming as of late. You guys just won't find anything to satisfy it.
>2
People need to stop going to college for a job market that demands it.
>3
"Broader Demographics" need to find a different hobby, because they're ultimately the cause of its degradation
>4
DRM should be outlawed, but outlawing it would probably cause other issues
>5
Not an easy solution for this one. Support games that don't take this type of funding. The issue is a lot of games take this funding because budgets for new games are astronomical. The industry needs a full blown reset as it has gotten too big for its own good.
>6
People must stop supporting this. Until then, have fun with your content being locked behind an extra fee
>7
No solution to this outside of bringing Console gaming back to the forefront. I like PC more, but the "locked down" nature of consoles prevented a lot more hacking.
>8
Just like 6, people need to stop buying into it. That'll never happen because most people have poor impulse control so might as well dream of a different reality
>9
This does exist, however most games that take this approach look like play-dough or some derivitave style. Nothing new could come out that'll please anyone here. Let's face it.
>10
Thank DLSS, UE5, and other AI upscaling algorithms used to generate fake frames. People have to stop buying new GPUs and games that entail this. This wont happen, so have fun suffering.
>11
Not gonna happen. Multiplayer chink games are too popular to fail atm. No one is going to drop their favorite CS-slop shit because of Kernel level anti-cheat. They'll just belittle you for being against it. Again, average consoomer is brain dead.
>12
Again, consoomer problem. General public is too retarded to care and will make fun of you for liking this.
>13
Yeaa, thank the unoptimized workflow of most devs today for that one
>14
See responses 6, 8, 10, 11, and 12
>15
You can thank the PS3 and its consequences for this. People LOOOOVVVEEE this, so this is what gaming will be now.
>16
Again, consoomers ruin everything
>17
Consooom, must consooom
>18
Games are more expensive, take longer to make, and require bigger studios. This will happen. Oh and again, people will pay for it
>19
This has kind of always been a thing. What we saw in the mid-late 2010's was more of a golden age. Graphical hardware has kind of always lagged behind industry improvements. The only difference between then and now, is that back then graphical quality was improving at an incredibly fast rate so it made sense. For instance MGS1 and MGS 4 are about 10 years apart and look vastly different. Today, we're seeing diminishing returns as what's left to improve is little things here and there. Like raytraced lighting. But to most, it doesn't add much like an actual increase in poly count did so you don't see the improvement like you did before.

Refer to point 5 again, also crying woke is going out of style now and you just get made fun of for it. It'll probably never truly die unless the market shifts enough. And lets be honest... It ain't gonna do that.
In short, the ride is going to be rough. So just enjoy it while you're here.
