Okay, the ending was really good. I played through a couple branches of the one I got. I posted a theory elsewhere that the Visitor is just a "fractal being" and the reason he mutates our world by looking at it is because he is simply introducing new math that our world wasn't equipped to handle. I had completely forgotten about this game and lodged it out of my memory until I watched ManlyBadassHero start playing it, then gave it a go myself. It's surprisingly well made and a big part of why I think it works so well is because it's like LISA in a lot of ways. Unique party members with different abilities and combat styles, the ability to permanently lose limbs and party members, the prevalence of mutants, and of course being an RPG Maker game. It's really great and it makes me happy to see creative, well-designed RPG Maker games are still getting released today. I especially like how it has so many unique sprites for enemies and characters despite being sprite-based, the art really plays with pixel size and color an impressive amount.

So when is next update i'm putting off playing through again

I finished this game today, without looking anything up. Managed to get the Flawed Ritual ending. Was it because I didn't give Jasper the Guinea Pig? Or was I supposed to give him the wrong painting and a blank VHS tape? Those are the only things I can think of to do differently since it seems like I cleared the whole map by the time I finished. I don't want to look it up directly because I might replay this game at some point. Also I'm curious about the moth. Was I supposed to revive him somehow or are his remains like some kind of joke about not letting go? I really wanted him to be a real companion Oh and I feel like I missed something with the unlabeled game cartridge. It really seemed like it might be a main quest item but putting it in the Vintage Game Console wasn't an option and nothing else came up.
