Some of my faves that haven't been mentioned yet...
>A Bug's Life and Toy Story 2
3D platformers, from the same devs, based on two consecutive Pixar movies, and they play alike. I know there are many 3D platformers from that era, but these ones are solid. I also like the puzzle platforming mechanics with the seeds in A Bug's Life.
>The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Pumpkin King
A GBA Metroidvania prequel to the movie. Not as good as the actual GBA Metroid or Castlevania games, but fun for fans. I was a bit disappointed that since it's a prequel it's all Halloween Town, but that's fine, I guess. It's just that spending that many hours in Halloween Town makes me want to fucking kill myself. It's a depressing environment on purpose. So I end up feeling like Jack. I guess the game succeeded at what it set out to do.
>The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge
A DMC clone sequel to the movie. It has lots of songs that aren't as good as the movie but pretty good for making you feel like you're playing a sequel to the movie. They got most of the original voice actors back, but not Danny Elfman, who wrote the music and was Jack's singing voice. Instead, Jack's speaking voice, Chris Sarandon, does the singing as well, and he's perfect. But Elfman not writing the music is clear due to the lesser quality. Still, good game though. I don't even like DMC, but I like this.
>All the Dragon Ball games that haven't been mentioned in this thread yet
My personal favorite is Budokai Tenkaichi 3. I know there is a new sequel out that people like, but 3 has Wii controls, and it's the most fun Wii controls game I've ever played. You do the motions to shoot a Kamehameha or charge a Genki Dama or all the other moves you'd want to do. I suppose there is a Kinect game that would theoretically do this better, if it works, but I'm not about to get a Kinect and the game to test it. If that game actually works, though, let me know. Do you ever do shit like pic related with Kinect controls? Because if so, that seems like fun.
