AI Limit Anonymous 04/17/2025 (Thu) 22:18:22 Id: 5d381a No. 1120489
How the fuck do I get to the final area? I beat Lodskin, and nothing happened. I looked up a guide and it says I need to talk to Shirley in the Oath of Epitome but she's just not fucking there? I looked through all previous locations and she's just fucking nowhere to be found. So I'm literally unable to finish the game.
>>1120489 If you beat Loskid you drop right in that place after talking to her there's blue lights that indicate the way
(2.94 MB 2894x1009 Stuck in jail.png)

>>1120489 >He didn't do Shirley's questline Also, just go past Loskid or go to the Tree
>>1120546 >>1122041 Thanks anons, apparently it was a bug, I looked it up in the Steam forums and more people encountered it. Seems like the orb that transports you to the final boss sometimes just don't show up. I had to go away and walk around a bit, then when I went back, everything was fine. >>1122041 I prefer to just focus on the gameplay first, but I genuinely enjoyed AI Limit more than any other soulslike, so I'm definitely gonna jump back into it, this time finishing all the questlines.
(29.12 KB 512x512 17447139723119.png)

Piercing claw is crazy fucking strong, to the point that I feel like they were counting on players being too afraid to use it as the balance for it.
spells are really unbalanced in this game. I managed to defeat loskid in 2 tries by just spamming ethereal beam, which melts hp bars and apparently gives you hyper armor.
>>1122041 >>1120489 Babymaking sex with bladers.

>>1120489 I'm finally at the part where I fight Ursula for the 2nd time in the factory, maybe it's cause my stats are higher but the 1st and 2nd phases feel really easy but her 3rd phase has been really tricky, one attempt got her down to just under half her HP so I'm pretty optimistic
>>1130032 They were right. I've seen too many people complain about accidentally killing themselves with it.
(639.75 KB 3840x2160 1964af9eefa68-screenshotUrl.jpg)

>>1135523 I did it, I took down Ursula for the 2nd time! All it took was remembering when exactly to parry and when to dodge forward
>>1120489 The bad thing about this is the only anime soulslikes are this and Code Vein I will have to wait till someone is arsed to do another one.
>>1130032 I've never actually tried it but I just used it now while I was fighting Persephone and damn it's actually really good. It literally lasts forever if you can keep attacking and it triggers pierces constantly, and the health cost hardly matters anymore now that I have 7+ dew charges.
Where's the second boss in the first area?
It's been a while since I've played due to wageslaving, who the fuck is delpha(someone I'm meant to give soil to)? Was it someone I already met?
>>1145249 The dude in the first camp.
>>1145748 I found him exactly two minutes after making that post but somehow I've never met him before, or he wasn't doodled on the map by Arrisa. Whoops.
>>1120489 Ah I see you are new to 8chan. Welcome but we have a very strict rule. We only discuss games with high IQ protagonists and I am afraid your game does not meet the criteria. Please delete or make her smart, somehow.

Is this the real thread since the other one got anchor'd? Which boss was your favorite? Which took the most attempts?
Where do I find Shirley after killing the Necro in the cemetery?
so how is the game? is it good? how it compares to Khazan? I recently beat it, bosses were kino but otherwise pretty mid, exploring wasnt interesting and story was whatever
>>1151913 Look in the train right behind that metal structure where you fight those ranged church women
>>1152914 The exploration is one of the best parts of this one. There are some large optional areas that you can completely miss. The bosses are pretty good, too.
>>1151840 My favorite bosses were Ursula > Loskid > Eunomia and I think Loskid took the most attempts to kill but the actual most difficult boss to me was Cleansing Knight for some reason. I didn't use parry in the game because I felt like it's a bit too OP, but otherwise the game was really fun, honestly there's no area I had any issues with. >>1154087 I haven't played Khazan yet, but AI Limit became my favorite soulslike. It's fast paced, not as bloated as some FromSoft games, and every weapon feels fun to use.
>>1151840 Loskid Loskid
>>1151840 Loskid Hunter of bladers
>>1154087 I just reached the Boundry Bridge. Did I miss it?
>>1155780 Did you fight Ursula the second time?
>>1152914 Some of the best exploration in a Souls-like, and the combat is very reminiscent of Bloodborne. Quite nice. While the bosses aren't as crazy as Khazan's, there are a few standouts.
>>1156350 yeah her 2nd phase is actually easier than the first, also by the time you get to her 2nd fight you can cheese her with ex railgun
>>1155998 Never mind, just found her.
(4.00 MB 3840x2160 raincoat and poison sword.jpg)

Has anyone tried using the Envenomed Blade? When I use the Skill it doesn't seem to be poisoning anyone. I think it looks good with the raincoat, though. The best outfits show her midriff.
>>1161614 Poison seems to take FOREVER to apply. Even against the big guys, they usually die before I can even proc it. Might be good against bosses, but I never tried them out. Also, I agree about the raincoat. Very cute on her.
>>1161614 Didn't use the blade, but used those poison darts on that hagios enemy you can find early. Took 9 of them to get the poison going, so it might be like the other anon said.
(3.66 MB 3840x2160 twilight hill.jpg)

Does she really go all the way through Twilight Hill and kill Persephone because she can't figure out how to jump over this railing?
>>1163087 Railings are not made to be jumped over. Arrisa knows this because she is smart.
(1.04 MB 1920x1080 Envenomed-Blade-AI-Limit.png)

Yeah, unfortunately it seems as though this sword's not really worth it. The poison Skill isn't nearly effective enough and even poisoning bosses is more trouble than it's worth. If the poison scaled with a stat or the Disperse Toxin ability put down a poison cloud that lasted a few seconds, it could be useful.
When is the next discount? Yes I'm poor
Those golem knight things that you fight in the upper level of hagios pitar are annoying, suck too that you can't final strike them whenever you parry them

>Didnt beat Ursula on my first playthrough >Her core has 2 weapons so now i have to do a third playthrough for the All Weapons cheevo
(4.06 MB 3840x2160 ursula.jpg)

Well it took a lot less tries to beat Ursula in NG+, probably because I actually had some Dew Essences. https://files.catbox.moe/m7l6h9.mp4
I'm a bit confused about how to get the true ending, I finished Delpha's quest and now I'm about to take on the three bosses before I reach Shirley for the last time (I also have her bunny from her room), am I supposed to go back to her previous location after I fight Loskid? Do I speak to Loskid before I do that?
>>1166720 You can finish it the moment you see her for the last time. When you exhaust her dialogue. go to Delpha in the arboretum and talk to him, then return to Shirley and give her the item. If done right, Arrisa gets hugs. Probably need to do this before fighting Loskid.
(2.42 MB 3840x2160 op.jpg)

>60 Technique >40 Spirit >Red Deer (Max Level) >Ex-Railgun Oh yeah, time to game.
>>1166954 What's good about Red Deer for a spirit build?
>>1167000 It's mostly a Technique build, the Spirit is for the Railgun.
looks like shirrako uploaded his playthrough https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPISl8qMZBk he barely survives loskid
How do I duplicate my save file from the UI? Or from messing with my save files in the steam folder?

Can't believe I'm finally at the point where I'm about to fight Loskid, I'm really nearing the end of the game, really has that magical sort of feeling
(788.39 KB 3840x2160 20250420014702_1.jpg)

I wish you could talk to the Lost Bladers a bit more Maybe give them a hug The lost blader at Underground Shaft is probably too far gone though
(2.60 MB 1920x1080 Ai.limit.deluxe.edition.png)

Rate the game. For me game was a solid 9/10. Best surprise of the year.
>Asteria sends a bunch of bladers mimicking normal humans >They either lost interest, become mindbroken or religious >Asteria sends an autistic dork as her last resort >Evolution success What is this game trying to say
>>1169374 I'm still thinking that Arrisa didn't ever actually give up on her mission, she just broke a rule none of them are even aware exists and was recycled into a guardian as punishment. That's what I took from what little information you get from the branch flashbacks anyway.
>>1165117 I played 3 times to see endings anyway and in the middle of a 4th cuz the gameplay is addicting
>>1169369 I enjoyed it way more than I expected. Don't remember the last time I liked the game enough for 3 straight playthroughs. Can easily give it at least 8/10, if only for some technical clumsiness, and I wish the music was better.
I just picked this up, is parrying mandatory? I'm having some trouble trying to only dodge and the shield seems useless since it lets status buildup through. The difficulty overall is pretty low but my boss fights are messy as fuck.
>>1171265 No, but it will make your life a lot easier so you should. General rule of thumb is to parry when you know you can do it and dodge otherwise. Also the shield isn't useless, just very situational. I only used it when the attacks I had to deal with were hard to dodge correctly and also hard to parry correctly. Are you making use of the double-tap button to shield bash and stun anything in front of you once it's glowing?
>>1171265 I'm too slow to learn parry so I never once used it in the entire game. It isn't mandatory at all, you can dodge everything. I'd argue fighting Ursula and Loskid is more fun this way.
>>1171265 Takes me forever to memorize parry when fighting bosses but once you do it's a breeze, like the other anon said it really makes your life easier
Bit sad the last time we see Fail chan is her getting mogged by Loskid, wonder which branch she spawned back at.
>>1120489 Using the bell is just a lame summon, isn't It? I am going to ignore the ringing until my second cycle. Anythong happe na if you use it at another spot? Can you sell It?
>>1178051 No, its not a summon, its just part of a quest, there are no downsides to using it.
>>1178051 You get to see the aftermath if you backtrack from a savepoint and he pays you, but it's not a summon and he won't help you in combat or anything aside from one boss battle where it's designed around using him as cover. You're also missing shit by not using the bell.

Ha... ha... yes... YES!
Why do people say this game is easy? Loskid was Malenia-tier hard for me.
>>1180135 bosses don't seem too easy but all the regular mobs offered zero challenge so far so I guess that's part of it
>>1165004 Which ones? I know you can parry the punching guys.
More Arrisa fanart. All of the "pretty" stuff seem to put her in the patient dress. Honestly, she looks a lot more like Io dressed like this.

>>1188281 Waiting warmly for it yes. Cute anime girls in dark settings have become a favorite of mine.
>>1188281 I played a little bit of the demo and it was pretty fun. My only complaint was that melee felt underwhelming compared to a point blank shotgun shot, but I guess that's true to the Armored Core feel. I hope that they keep that little stash of visual customization items in the starting area near the end.
>>1188281 I found the demo a bit underwhelming but I'm gonna play it regardless because mecha musume + nitroplus.
>>1188281 I played the demo and it was really good. So yes.
>>1188281 Absolutely, I'd preorder if I could, demo was a ton of fun, just surprised that it's a Steam exclusive
>>1188281 If it's as cheap as their other recent game. The demo was fun though jank.
>>1190158 Dolls Nest felt like it had significantly more effort put into it than Rusty Rabbit based off the demos; I didn't actually end up buying Rusty Rabbit. It just wasn't very good. I don't think I would classify it as jank. Maybe if the only Armored Core game you've played is AC6 but the turn speed and other quirks like targeting are clearly intentional and modeled after earlier AC games.
I finally beat Loskid for the first time and enjoyed the fight a lot. It felt like a pretty easy fight though, although maybe I just had too much fun to notice how many times I died. All of her attacks were quite telegraphed and relatively readable. For me the fight that felt the hardest was the Scavenger leader near the beginning of the game. Everything just got easier from there.
>>1190561 Really? That guy? I thought you were talking about the Hunters for a moment, but then I remembered that roadblock.

>>1190561 I just happened to beat Loskid myself, I think it took 10ish tries to do so, I had several runs where she would instantly go to rank 3-4 and just kick my ass which was rough, either way she was a very fun boss fight, Ursula definitely is the harder boss fight though

And that's that! I was very excited about this game when I first heard about it from a friend though the fact that it was a soulslike had me bummed out as I don't really like those kinds of games (barely touched elden ring after all these years), playing through it to the end though I had a ton of fun, the combat is great, the level design and all the secrets it has is amazing, I'm definitely looking forward to a potential sequel, I do hope one comes at least. It's perfect timing too considering Dolls Nest comes out in about 1-2 days. I'll get the other endings another time. >>1201668 It's not so bad, thematically it makes sense since they're both cocky with a complex + I think it works best with Loskid being the final toughie you gotta go through.
>>1201668 >>1201864 The actual final boss isn't the gold dude unless you fucked up your sidequests, guys. You gotta play it again now.
>>1204286 Dunno about the other anon but I fought Charon, I play on doing another 2 runs to get the other endings, currently doing a bit of ng+ right now
>>1201864 I beat the game today as well, and got all 3 endings. Pretty fun game overall. Final boss was lame but Loskid/Ursula were cool. I would have liked an epilogue showing what happened to all the characters, but hopefully humanity makes it through somehow. >>1197146 Mostly I had no idea what I was doing at the start of the game and was trying to get used to the combat. Not too long after that I got the Corrupted Blader Greatsword which made everything a lot easier to fight. Ursula/Loskid took me longer to beat but by the time I got there it was just a matter of learning and parrying their attacks and nothing they did was scary.
>>1204286 The real final boss is also boring and unfun. >Shits out stun fields everywhere >Flies off whenever you crit her after breaking her shields >If you break her shield while she's on her stun field, you just get to watch as literally nothing happens You don't need a hard boss to be fun, but a boss that forces you to do nothing every now and then is boring.
>>1205098 The biggest issue is just how often she floats over her stun areas. Makes the fight way more annoying.
>>1201864 Arrisa, Shirley and Loskid goes on a grand ol adventure, Feylia doesn't get invited. She just stays in her tent and shlicks to Loskid figurine all day
i am 60min in and this honestly has a great feel to it really like how the rxploration and combat feels
>>1205098 >>1205481 I didn't think it was too bad and beat the boss first try Using the scrap spear and ex railgun made the shield break pretty quickly so I wouldn't be surprised if it's more of a stagger meter than a damage limit or maybe I just got lucky since the only time I had the shield break while she was over a stun area was the first time I broke it since I didn't even notice she had a shield and wasn't taking damage Though I guess I agree that boss is pretty lame, especially for the final boss. Even the fight before it kind of sucked with the constant teleporting away from you. The 3rd last boss or Ursula were much better fights.

>>1120489 I haven't yet played the game but I love her so much it's unreal
I beat Loskid today after a week of not playing, then went and beat Charon too. I am not sure what ending I got I just know that Arrisa loves Shirley, Stone and Delpha.
>>1219087 That's the best ending
>>1219321 I see
>>1219424 But why?
>>1215241 I was half-joking. She's not hard at all, it's basically a victory lap. Unless you get through the first two hits on her without stepping on a hole, anyways, then you have no idea how to dodge what comes next. I got memed on the first time I fought her by that.
(319.64 KB 2912x1944 GpD7vACacAAaFu8.jpg)

>>1222790 These comics are off-character because we never see Arrisa display any emotion or desire. “I see” “But why?” “I found this” The whole way through.
>>1223864 She's just like me
>>1223864 For a game about Arrisa's journey, we really don't get to know much about her thoughts. The last conversation with Vikas is probably the most she talks in the entire story.

70% of Arrisa art is her in the Patient Dress
>>1228362 I don't like the patient dress, it's for weak and vulnerable horror game protages. Arrisa is too dumb and fit for that, she would just sprint pass all the monsters and brute force all the puzzles.
I finished the game a few days ago but never got a chance to post my thoughts due to what happened to 4chan. Now that I've found this place, I guess I'll post some thoughts. It's a pretty good game overall but somewhat short, which explains the pricing. Shirley was a cutie and I'm glad they didn't do some nonsense like killing her or anything. I was mainly focused on some sort of weird quality build and full lighting focused gear. I mainly used the lighting scythe, lance, and claws. Holy Embrace was really damn solid once I got it, the weapon skill is fast and has high stagger plus knockdown and AOE. I used the clergy main seal for that sick lightning bolt on all spells/skills and for a conversion buff with lighting damage. I used the clergy armor with the pink ponytail for armor. I know the church was evil assholes and all that but I'm sorry, they had some sweet weapons and I just felt like going with lighting for everything. I'd play and expansion if the decided to make one.
>>1151840 Ursula for both probably. She took me around four hours of attempts to beat. Loskid took two minutes and I'm convinced that she must do crazier things that I missed because of how fast she died.
I'm going to confess, I had a lot of struggles vs most of the mid game bosses as I didn't use parry or shield which I forgot about. I did use thorns and it turned into either I kill them very fast or I die very fast and the odds weren't in my favour. When I got to hunter of bladers I started using shield and the game got a lot easier.

Redpill me on the Crowley family
>>1234712 what rank did she die at?
Are there any changes in NG+? I'm assuming it's just stronger enemies and that's it.
>>1237522 No changes. The enemies are stronger but not enough to feel challenging. You'll end up breezing through the game as everything dies to a few autos or skills
>>1237666 Yeah, that's kind of what I figured would happen since I already felt so strong at the end of the game.
>>1237710 It's still worth doing NG+ if you want the all weapons and all spells achievements, or for the other endings.
>>1235650 Was anyone else really expecting the three corporations/families from the lore to tie into the game a lot more? I was completely ready for something like each faction's lead AI was that company's AI gone rogue and still trying to compete despite having paperclipped their owners but they seemed kinda unrelated despite the three AIs and three companies lining up thematically.
>>1237262 Two, how high does she go?
>>1237788 I played through ng+ and ng+2, ng+ felt like ng+ didn't scale at all but when I got halfway through ng+2 it felt like I was playing with no upgrades on ng again, was kinda fun (I was also playing with different weapons each time, maybe impact drills are just that much worse)
>>1240281 Four. I'd usually fail to dodge the grab and she sucks all sync out of you and ranks up to max immediately.
>>1234633 Did you try out Arbiter?
>>1148772 Now that's an intellectual. I bet she has never killed herself with piercing claw while trying to block or parry.
>>1240293 I did 3 NG runs instead of NG+. Starting a new run fresh always felt better gameplay wise and thematically. Might try NG+ runs if they do end up scaling in NG+2 and beyond. There are some weapons I want to use but you get them way too late in the game (aribiter, red deer/mercy)

>>1248088 Ah okay thanks for the heads up. I didn't hate it so much as it felt a tad stilted. That, and the fact that it's another one of these types of games where the heavy weapons feel too damn slow.
>>1248174 Heavy weapons are meant to stunlock enemies with their skills. The corrupted blader greatsword weapon skill will stagger anything, bosses included.
>>1247600 Protip: To beat the MILF, hit her until she dies.
>>1248174 Heavy weapons are some of my favorite...
>>1241597 Was that Loskid's lance? I maxed out and used all the lighting weapons including that one but didn't use it too much since the game was pretty much over by that point. It seems good though.

Oh I didn't even think to check this board for an AI limit thread. I'm pretty done with the game (got the true end) but it was basically a perfect 10
>>1248447 Alright I'm still somewhat tempted, how do I make the heavies work?
>>1249175 I don't know if they're considered "heavy" but polearms were really good in AI Limit. All of them have skills that have high stagger and most will knockdown lighter enemies. Any weapon that had a high stagger+knockdown skill was generally good in my opinion. Most greatswords have skills like this as well.
>>1249175 Use your charge attacks to stagger shit.
>>1248174 >That, and the fact that it's another one of these types of games where the heavy weapons feel too damn slow. You guys say this about every souls game. you health trade for days and have crazy burst damage for the tradeoff of not being able to get in stray hits as easily (at least thats supposed to be it but usually heavy weapons have at least one safe move between rolling or running r1s, plus plenty of weapon arts with poise). This game even has discount trick attacks that have a bigger multiplier than raw R2s. And bigger ripostes if you learn timings. Just get your hp and physical defense up and swing, the game aint even that hard.
>>1237868 Yes that's definitely a plot point that they threw away. All that lore on each of the big tech families and all we got out of it was they made a VRMMO that turned everyone into addicts. Way too little info about the Sphere on the other hand. Someone made it, lost control, and the AIs fucked off into the Sphere. What is it exactly? Some dimensional portal?
Neat, an AI Limit thread. I didn't know anyone else who even played this game. Started the game with a strength build and got extremely salty at how I didn't find the Corrupted Blader Greatsword until the end of the game >>1247600 Parry her The most fun I've had is deliberately attacking her while she's in the deflecting stance and then parrying her counterattack, which is designed to rollcatch you if you attempt to dodge away
>>1251559 I feel like too many people try to no-hit bosses instead of using HP like a resource.
>>1253504 >Started the game with a strength build and got extremely salty at how I didn't find the Corrupted Blader Greatsword until the end of the game isn't that kind of ass? scrap lance, road sign, dawnfrost seem like way better options
>>1253207 this is already far above fromsoft storytelling. we're just missing 10 hours of vaatividya explaining the story and making shit up.
>>1256304 I used the road sign for most of it It's just the <cool weapon with bleed appeal also isn't dawnfrost quality?
>no discussion on 4chan >no discussion on the shorty 8ch is the last bastion of love limit
>>1256304 I used Holy Ritual for the entire game. Even though it stops scaling earlier than Dawnfrost it still has that retarded stun capability which in practice makes the DPS higher and it has better synergy with shitting lasers everywhere.
>>1256304 the damage is pretty bad but at least the weapon special has some amazing stagger value on all 3 hits
Always a little bit sad when you clear the game and walk through the areas that are now devoid of events, bosses and mysteries. Most characters are now dead or went to a place faraway, those who remain will say the same things over and over.

>Fight with Ursula was the hardest up until that point, dies like a couple dozen of times >Decided to pivot to magic build for the Loskid fight <It takes only 3 tries On one side, it felt good that I crush her but at the same time, I feel kinda bummed for not "properly" fight her
I liked to try and setup combos with spells and skills. Like the Pardoner has good damage on it's skill but it's stagger is only okay and there's no knockdown. Therefore I'd use the lightning hammer spell first to cause knockdown then combo it right into the scythe throw while they're downed. This can work between two weapons as well if you can switch attack over to the second weapon fast enough.

The plot of AI limit
>>1258993 The AI Limit thread died soon after 4chan came back. It's unfortunate. >>1263846 I really hope that they do something like LotF and add a way to refight bosses without having to replay the entire game. Loskid is amazing.
>>1267578 I kind of want to stay here 4chan glows
>Ability reconstruction allows you to reconstruct your abilities with no cost (according to the item description) >ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU WANT E L I M I N A T E ALL YOUR CURRENT EQUIPPED WEAPONS AND YOUR STATS? (according to the branch) .....Huh
>>1273062 It just unequips your stuff
>>1273062 smarr indie studio prease undahstand it's just an engrish transration, it only unequips your weapons because their stat requirements are reset. it's annoying but it is what it is, since unlike fromsoft souls you straight up can't equip something if you don't meet the stat requirements.
>/v/ thread died while I was asleep It's over... If only /v/ wasn't dead for an entire week.

>>1277379 It had a good comfy run. There's still this one!
Damn. Unexpectedly enjoyed this game a lot more than I thought I would. Just finished it, and kind of want to run back through. Final Church area is fucking worse than the Code Vein cathedral by miles.
>>1277787 What's wrong with it?

>>1277787 Fuck it, went right in on NG+ for a Ursala build. Parrying really does make the game a cakewalk. If it wasn't for the fucking saint that pushes you off the broken road, deathless runs are probably the easiest to do in this game.
>>1284953 >saint I had no issue on my first run but then on new game plus it decided to be buggy as fuck. I did Stones side quest both times.
Any new fanart?
>>1280670 Ah, it's apparently because the thread maker structured it like a general and linked to the last thread...

Do you ship it?
>>1289092 loskid is such a good design. really hope this isn't the last time we get to see her.
(2.54 MB 1920x1080 stabhere.png)

I've found a funny thing. There's an invisible enemy in the second Ursula fight area that you can backstab, it can't be targeted or attacked otherwise. Guess it's some sort of system placeholder. >>1289092 I can imagine Loskid riding the dragon, raining spears from above and doing flyby sweeps with the giant lightning sword.

>>1289092 unrelated but did they really have to make loskid's helmet a fucking metal traffic cone that stupid pointy thing at the top makes me irrationally angry
>>1291141 5x the lightning >>1290220 Ah, that's probably the Necro Ursula turns into if you don't kill her.

I played this earlier in the year pirated but I’ve since bought it on Steam. I’ll probably replay it when a DLC gets announced. I hope they give us Loskid and Ursula-tier bosses.
