E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy Anonymous 04/18/2025 (Fri) 01:07:53 Id: b8f3fc No. 1123134
Why haven't you played E.Y.E Divine Cybermancy? It goes on sale for a dollar and there's nothing else quite like it.
My friends got pissed that their builds weren't fast enough while I was 10legging it around like a real culter dei so we had to stop playing before unlocking every gate.
>>1123729 Are you the kind of Jian that steals all the brouzoufs from the map as soon as they spawn or are you the kind of Double Jian playing an old save with newfigs?
>>1123962 We all started new saves for it. Difficulty was high so we mostly fought as a team. It only became obvious how fucking SLOW the other 2 were on mars. At least, one guy went full psi so he got a bit more mobile when he learned to use telefragging for mobility. The other guy was just a fat-fuck broke-leg jian always rolling heavy armor sulfatum without putting points into strength or agility to be less of a fatass.
>>1124037 >The other guy was just a fat-fuck broke-leg jian always rolling heavy armor sulfatum without putting points into strength or agility to be less of a fatass. If only there were stats to level up in the game to help his play style...
>>1123134 is this where the jian meme comes from?

>hear this game is all the rage from /v/ for years >finally try it out >feels jank as shit and the dialogue is schizophrenic as fuck but whatever >after stumbling through several missions full of respawning enemies and non euclidean mazes get to mars or some shit >walk through an empty space station that I guess was trying to establish some sense of mystery but was blunted by source looking like shit >eventually battle shit and have some dude with me to help >try and heal him with my heal syringe >it hurts him and he kills me >uninstall dogshit game. hopefully 8chan has less contrarian shit taste.

>>1169593 Honestly the game really isn't that interesting. Don't really get what people see in it.

Culter Hours?
>>1174517 It's a big inside joke I guess. I braved through hours of infinite respawning retarded Gmod tier enemies, huge featureless maps and uninstalled after I started seeing every hammer demon getting stuck on the terrain. Awful game, the blueprint for something excellent is there but they completely failed.
This game is pretty fun when you use the cloak with a sniper, I also feel like I play the retarded hackerman minigame far more than actually shooting people, I still hear the beeps in my head. I know it isn't the best game in the world but I can't help but enjoy it, the atmosphere is really nice.
I still mad Hired Gun wasn't just EYE in Necromunda
>>1169136 >Another retard with broken legs
>>1182142 In the heyday I grinded up a character to a high level and put everything into hacking I could just Overflow-Overflow-Attack pretty much anything and hack it in seconds I would join any public server with other players and hack the other players repeatedly sometimes they would figure it out and attack me then I would triangular gate their ass good times
>>1182439 My favorite thing is hacking the interceptor helicopters and the sentries/turrets and letting them go apeshit on enemies. I've never tried the multiplayer out, I bet it got pretty hectic with people speeding around and mindraping each other. Do people still make servers?
>>1169136 Thanks made me laugh t. 2000 hours in E.Y.E
>>1182439 E.Y.E is secretly the best co-op griefing simulator ever made, so many ways to fuck with people
The fact that there's an endgame psy power that's only real use is to make another (friendly) player instantly insane is fucking aces. Love those frogs, but god they cannot follow up for shit.
The kings of making games that probably could've been really great but aren't.

>>1123134 why haven't you played syndicate black ops?
It's unfortunate that Struem On are likely in the 40K mines forever, I don't see their parent allowing them to make another EYE game especially as it was a cult classic only weirdos on image boards liked. My dream is a Source 2 EYE sequel. >t. wave-making Jian
>>1189555 I have, and probably killed (You) with a pitbull grenade more than once
>>1196936 Fucking lol
>>1123134 Why did the "don't make any waves" ( french expression translated literally, ne pas faire de vagues : don't draw any attention on you/ don't start stirring shit up bucko ) got so popular when virtually the whole game's full of mistranslations making a playthrough near esoteric? It sounds really that weird in English?
>>1198449 it was featured in an ms paint comic about the game iirc
>>1198449 >It sounds really that weird in English It really doesn't. It sounds just fine. You've got to understand waves as general patterning of reality anon.

>>1189703 I wish they would fix the sdk files they provide to custom maps to the version they used on release, the current one uses several pre-release models that can't be put into maps and dialogue points are a headache to setup, sometimes they just crash the SDK when I try to place them.

>>1198449 It's pretty early in the game, so even people who dropped eye most likely see it
>>1230422 all of them
the levels felt weird, never like i completed them, more like i eventually got bored and decided to end the level
>>1230567 They have a purposefully dream like feel, areas that don't feel like they connect properly, doors that go nowhere, stuff like that Makes sense in context of the game
>>1230674 >dream like feel well put, but >purposefully or the sheer amount of french sovl from the devs transmuted their incoherent modder jank
>>1230904 Map designers for E.Y.E are avid Thief and Quake mappers too I wish it was MORE abstract
>>1231026 A few custom maps are more abstract than usual. Despair is fairly out there. https://gamebanana.com/mods/427491

>>1253964 You can do funny things by input cancelling the firing animation with the mound Also it looks cooler
I dislike the weapon balance in E.Y.E., its strange, there is no reason for me not to use the best weapons in the game like bear killer or sulfatrum, over the shotguns or the assault rifles.
>>1253964 It feels more powerful, despite objectively being worse.

>>1123134 I haven't played it in forever. I really need to run through it again
>>1123134 Schizo kino
I'm playing Hired Gun and honestly its not very good compared to E.Y.E. it's fun game but something is missing and I think its the level design. EYE level design always gave me the impression that was I in small section of a larger world, you had smaller areas like restaurants, bathrooms, bars, apartments, underground tunnels, and warehouses, each smaller block had their individuals personality, and the maps were designed with some kind world building logic for the imaginary NPCs that would live those maps, and many areas would loop back to beginning of map. In Hired Gun the level design is strictly for the player's enjoyment, its linear experience with a beginning and an ending, there is no concern for the lives of the imaginary NPCs or how they would function in such a space. >how do NPCs move from wagon to wagon ? >Doesn't matter, now use your grappling hook >Where are the bathrooms ? >Doesn't matter, here is some wacky wall where you can wall run >Where are the offices ? >Doesn't matter, use your double jump >Where are the genestealer's sleeping quarters ? >doesn't matter, just grab the glowing things and open the door the maps are not going to loop back because that is not the point, its a thrill ride for you to use your new abilities, that is it, there are other problems like the weapon system and enemy behavior, but they don't bother me that much.
>>1314983 I'm more pissed off that they marketed this game as quirky and wacky rather than amospheric. Wacky shit should be a consequence of good gameplay loops, not forced with shit writing and retarded tonal shifts.
>>1314983 Did you catch the br_marsarena being remade in Necromunda?
Finished Hired Gun, I liked the last map, it was one of the few maps in the game that gave me the EYE feel, there is also the mine before the genestealers map, the one with the giant cthulhu coming from the ceiling and map before the train level, those were my favorite levels. As for the game itself, its underwhelming, the story is predictable, there is no post end game content, and I don't see any reason to keep playing it anymore, it has mission ranks but that is. >>1318097 the level where you have to escape the drills ?
>>1323608 >the level where you have to escape the drills ? The level where reinforcements arrive by train and Shadow knocks you off a crane It has the same geometry as the courtyard in marsarena, with some added bits
I guess I need some more tips because I'm getting totally wrecked in the secondary missions. The enemies are just spawning non-stop from every direction, including right behind me, to the point where I barely have enough time to reload, let alone heal or do any hacking objectives. Mostly I've been using the BOSCO because of all the snipers in New Eden. Should I switch to the KA?
>>1383163 >The enemies are just spawning non-stop from every direction Yes, that's what they tend to do. >Mostly I've been using the BOSCO because of all the snipers in New Eden. Should I switch to the KA? The BOSCO is all you should need outside of heavily armored enemies and helicopters. Make sure to learn to use it unscoped.
>>1615577 You forgot to say that they're announcing the EYE Prequel at Gamescom.
>>1615884 Well I assumed people are already aware of that
It kinda sucks and gets repeatetive and boring real quickly.
Kikes are really working overtime to get this website flagged then blocked.
