Anaconda's joy status sprite is fucking awesome, i hate how underwhelming willy knight is as a companion he was so cute but the third fold content at least spices things up, the peaceful tribesmen as companions are op and kinda too edy cool for my taste, hugos quest is a waste of time its not worth it being locked out of lester's store but useful if you just want to get some equipment like fringe boy's chair for willy. I use joy because i dont give a fuck Lisa the painful choices, not a single limb lost but kept terry cuz it was too early for me to care about losing my items and shit, the desolate expanse mod for painful is very pretty and nice. The exclusive companions of the ultimate modpack are neat but the balance is ass, the nerds are annoying shits with corny sprites i hate them to infinity, them being relegated to filler losers in the ultimate fix is a saving grace of that... unique mod

Can someone explain to me the autistic fan-game scene these games have? I understand wanting to ape and mod the game itself but LISA is not the most OC friendly setting nor does it seem to inspire world-building when the emotional core and tragedy is deeply dependent on the specific circumstances of Brad. I understand there being a few but there's an entire scene of these things and some formed entire subcommunities/fangame scenes of their own.

My story concept for a LISA game is to introduce a progressive high-tech utopian society which, having cast off the burden of women, were able to build a near-perfect utopian mix of socialism for the lower class and enlightened libertarianism for the upper class. The smart men can climb into the upper class while the less intelligent stay comfortable and well taken care of in their collectives. The younger generation which grew up not really knowing women were taught that t=females were a burden that allowed them to flourish only after they were removed; sexuality is an animal impulse that should be rejected / suppressed as much as possible. No one ever talks about their desires in polite society and you’re supposed to pretend that it doesn’t exist. When a girl is suddenly introduced to these men for the first time in adult memory — how do they deal with it? Does their repressed lust explode and turn them immediately into simps and cavemen? Do they sink immediately into warfare over her, tossing out their enlightened society in an instant?

Scholars of the Wilbur Sin is one of the best games I have played. But obviously wouldn't be the same without playing pointless first.

Infinity Unfolds doesn’t add new areas it fills existing ones even more. If an NPC couldn’t be fought before, now they probably can, lotsa items and filler. The Ultimate Modpack compiles every serious Pointless mod into one messy but ambitious package. Balance is ass and currently the devs took down the official download option, but someone re uploaded, the link is on the comments of the mod page. Notably, it includes original content exclusive to the pack. Most of the new content is Agony Mode only, which blocks save scumming, so managing crows is key, balance is ass it spams the mid game with tons of hard battles, expect the average playthrough to be over 24 hours not counting resets. The Ultimate Fix was made by a frustrated dev who hated missing content due to time progression triggers. He rebalanced all companions with a shared skill list, removed some extra low effort routes to focus on Alex, mocked the original modpack with a npc, and removed the party size limit. Everyone can now revive KO characters, so unless your a bad player soft locking only happens with true death, more status effect on top of editing the entire game, while the dev is cocky of it's version truth is it's actually properly balanced and it's very fun

Supposedly this year the monster update for pointless TOTALLY releases this year, the biggest teaser so far is mutant Alex, who's sprite is actually in the game files but is more like a concept. Hoho now taking joy makes Alex effort futile because he doesn't even live for the sequel he just dies in the first chapter

Curious oddity trivia number 88888# After you beat Floyd atop the sweet breeze hotel, if you interact with his body a new boss battle kickstarts, and killjoy, the scary black addict from garbage island appears, both Floyd and killjoy infinitized, given how mods largely abandon the original vision of the og pointless, it can be assumed their spirit lives in infinivity hive mind, and your infact fighting their souls. Bonus boss battles like this are why the ultimate modpack's balance is ass, like "DOOD just play perfect lol, just restart the battle till you got the best outcome lol" Way too many super bosses that barely are worth fighting

Badass edit that I can't remember if it was added on infinity unfolds or the UM. On the third fold route, in last autumn, when the pink rmask rapist starts creeping on Alex, Alex interrupts his speech by punching him in the stomach. Also regarding his third fold skills, it makes their names are kinda silly, since presumably they where made up to accommodate Alex new all out fighting style, the former velvet warrior that does unironic goat kicks and flying guillotine kicks. Stupid but funny. Gouging Petunia! Also if you pay attention to Alex's sprite his teeth are indeed ruined, so the description of his cannibal bite attack is not being unnecessarily visceral, Alex's teeth are indeed ugly

Finished the woe mod. It was charming but, giving ways to heal without consuming items was very overpowered. All of these healers also had sp recovering moves, so there was no true resource loss. As well, you could tell that the new party members were modded in. For example, balloon pants still uses his line about taking care of Alex and Joel. Over all I liked it, especially the cart racing segment.

Underrated attack animation, the palm laser spam. That cobra wrestler that turns cannibal when he joins the infinity franchise, the avatar of hatred, and third fold Alex and his avatar of failure (?)use it. Pretty sweet. The avatar of hatred the velvet fu master can do a very assy version of the attack, When the avatar of failure gets ready to unleash it he becomes inmune to basic attacks, a fact ive forgotten so many times. El kobra wrestler inflicts burn despite his theme, wich made me realize the poison inmune skin bandages are fucking ass. I dont remember where exactly third fold alex uses it, i think its in the alex beats hugo scenario, where he walks all the way to the city and he beats the background characters in the playable end credits

When beating lisa the pointless the end credits have at the end the words kill all over the screen, most mods never got rid of this even when said mods dumped the fact this is a part one of a trilogy and added finality to their take on pointless. The implication is, Alex reached the first fold while passing through downtown olathe, he got spooked of it all and got the hell outta there. Either he or both alex and joel got corrupted by the infinity franchise, and the second fold and third fold woulve been intended for part 2. That is unless the foreshadowing is dropped
