She's an incredibly good character, just below the top tiers but still incredibly strong. She's an aggressive, speedy fighter focused on getting in and staying in while using your blockstrings and command jump to open up the opponent.
She has very fast normals and some good pokes, especially her far medium. She's one of the characters that can get a decent combo off of dash light in the newer one. She also has some really good air moves and has a fastfall property unique to her that makes her much harder to anti-air, so she gets to use jump ins a bit more which are risky but pretty strong.
She has a powerful gap closer with Shining Onslaught, where she does a spinning sword charge at the opponent where the distance varies by version, this move is almost always safe if blocked and hits fairly hard on it's own (and is where the beyblade memes come from regarding her). She has a command jump, Noble Strategy, where she leaps at the opponent and can do several things out of it: she can do an overhead sword slam that knocks the opponent to the ground, a command grab that only works on standing targets but is great for grabbing people trying to fuzzy block to cheese the move or standing around, a quick descending thrust that's +1 on block, or she can just let the move follow through into a sweeping low that's not only safe on block but can be combo'd out of if it lands (only a far medium normal into Heavy Shining Onslaught I think). She has a flash kick reversal with Holy Ladder, so she can't get cheesed out of it with cross-ups, plus it hits on the way down too since it's a rising drill into a sword slam. She also has a multi hit move called Sword of Lumiel, which is one of your best combo and blockstrings tools due to being safe or plus on block depending on version, and being able to link a far medium out of the heavy version. Her supers are both very useful too, the first one, Brilliant Moon, is a full screen Shining Onslaught that hits several times and the second one, Noble Execution, is able to hit infinitely upward so its very funny to let fly against people trying to jump over you, as it is air unlockable.
It's not all good things with her though. Her size is a problem as most of her normals are very stubby due to her small size, making some characters able to range you out somewhat. She has a far reaching move with far heavy but it has a ton of startup and while safe on block, the startup makes it easy to dodge and punish. Her size also makes her intended anti air of crouch heavy much harder to use, and while you can use close heavy for anti air some pokes will outrange it and if you time it bad and far heavy instead you're stuck in her long heavy startup animation and will take the hit. She also has no projectiles and her gap closer is not projectile immune, so she struggles with zoners and fireballs can be a thorn in your side. You can get anti aired out of your Noble Strategy if your opponent predicts it coming, which will cost you a good chunk of health from the combo off of such. She also is a charge input character, and while the game has simple inputs some people just can't handle charge inputs so don't bother with her of rare get lower due to that.
I love playing her and she's really fun. She's a mix of so many things it's hard to describe her in relation to other characters, but a good start is she's like a mix of E.Honda and Blanks from Street Fighter mixed with the general rush down archetype from Arcsys fighters, all in a tiny cute package. Hope she gets an alt costume in the current Granblue fighting game soon. Unlikely though, She's a very love or hate kind of character due to how hard she is to fight until you get a feel for her moves and figure out how to do general defensive and neutral play, plus all I mentioned already. Some people hate her a lot because of that, "I didn't pay $60 to block" is a phrase for a reason and all that.
I'd upload some vids to help show her gameplay but my internet is not having a good time at the moment.

Yeah, same. Lyrics can elevate a song for me, but it needs a good base melody to be a good song at all.

From what Self-Declared power metal I've listened to that's a very accurate description.

One of the funnier scenes in the game, more than just that though. Serves a good point at establishing Magilou isn't a waste of space or a lazy tag along despite appearances, plus embarrased Velvet is cute.

She doesn't like most of the other hermits in Gensokyo too, right? Or was that just Seiga she hated.
