The trilogy story is always confusing...it seems like something WAS said at some point but it may have been translated badly. I used to think it suggested that there was supposed to be a third "Memories" game with a different protagonist, but other things I've read suggest that they intended a trilogy of Kyle games specifically. A chance but I'd first hope for a Hotel Dusk/Last Window duology on Switch 2. Dark Auction is also coming out this year which would free up Rika Suzuki to work on something else afterwards.

I did heard that they were planning to do a third game, that it was intended to be a trilogy. I suspect that the last game would revolve around Kyle hyde's ex gf. My suspiscion of this comes from a brief moment in Hotel Dusk where Hyde and Louie, after that moment with the model magazine, Louie mentions how Hyde had an eye for "women with issues", and shortly after decide to drop the subject entirely. The reason why i think this, is because every game in the series is about Hyde's past, so it makes sense that they keep that theme running. After all, Hyde talked about his dad for a moment in Hotel Dusk, which was the central mystery of The Last Window later on. It sounds interesting, and apparently, it was a big deal back then when he was a cop.

After losing his father, he become a cop, and is unable to solve his old man case, then he find a girl and she end up dead along the way without being able to prevent it, and then his best friend end up betraying him for his family and at that point, he cling to the hope that he could at least find closure on Bradley to not hit beyond rock bottom, just to realize that after writing that letter, Bradley ended up dead as well. For a series of games where the mystery happen across mundane places, people and situations, Hyde was a really tragic character. Hotel Dusk and Last Window were able to transmit, inmensely and very well, the feeling of defeated people.
