I boot up the arcade version of Marvel vs capcom every once in a while, fight a couple of battles in the arcade mode and then drop ti again for another couple of months. Did the same with Darkstalker years ago, but i got to actually beat the arcade mode here

I mostly play old fighting games on MAME, like Street Fighter 3rd Strike and Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Although, I am annoyed that many USA versions of arcade games got fucked over by the FBI. The FBI forced game devs to include the "Winners don't do drugs" screen in many 90s arcade games. I actually prefer European versions because they don't have this unnecessary forced PSA.

Unless you count arcade-like games like the Touhous, or NES' Gimmick and not just arcade games, no, I've never 1CC'd a game before; I'm very much a scrub when it comes to arcade games. At one point I wanted to 1CC either Metal Slug X/3 and maybe In The Hunt, but performance on MS always fell flat at Stage 2, on ITH it was immediate. Arcade emulation as a concept also hates my guts, MAME and Fightcade alike. I'm always getting filtered by the emulation setup and rom checking; like I wanted to get into Progear because a friend recommended it to me, but I couldn't for the life of me make it work. It was a miracle I got Metal Slug X running recently. Also, loosely related, but I made a doodle for a friend of mine, he is an arcade nerd (and also helped me to get MSX running). How much of a bad idea do you think it is to play a fighting game with shared inputs?
