history of nameko, i guess >2006, Touch Detective is released to the Nintendo DS >2008, Touch Detective 2 is released >2011, After Touch Detective faded into obscurity, thanks to Nameko, he got his own game titled “Mushroom Garden/Nameko Saibai Kit” and after that he became popular in Japan. >2012, Mushroom Garden Seasons releases >2013, Mushroom Garden Deluxe releases, Touch Detective 3 releases (In Japan) and Nameko gets his own anime for all the /a/ members, “Nameko-Ke no Ichizoku” (The Nameko Families) and it is criminally underrated IMO, (might make a /a/ thread for it, >2014, NEO Mushroom Garden is released >2016, he gets a second anime where HE TALKS!?!? “Nameko: Sekai no Tomodachi” and it’s partially lost media cuz the only available version on the internet is dogshit quality (NEW SEARCH ANYONE, GET LOST MEDIA WIKI ONTO THIS) Also The Battle Cats collab (my first exposure to the franchise) >2021, 10th anniversary of the original game, Mushroom Garden Prime is released and combines the first 2 Nameko games together >2024, Touch Detective is released to the switch and 3 is finally translated

I'll admit I've never actually played any of the games but I certainly do recognize the funny little mushroom man, so they were probably onto something capitalizing off of his popularity.
