A new Warframe releasing on a Thursday morning would only be ready by Sunday night for example IF the player farmed him fast enough. But because gacha players have "limited funds" and can't simply start another gacha without considering dropping their current ones, making more means you're directly competing with every other gacha. Making the game live service and with no fomo means you can still play it while playing your usual gacha. It's the better move, as long as they succeed.
