Today I spent the entire day playing Stardew Valley want to talk about Ayumu and her hair.
Ayumu has knee-length flowing blonde hair, with such fullness that even a glimpse of it is somewhat filling. It feels familiar to a storybook princess, though more restrained when compared to the princesses of Blue Archive, very much a sight for sore eyes as it need not be complicated.
The lime green eyes have a soft gaze, making Ayumu appear very soft when combined with her hair. However, there's a contrast between that and the gem on her head. This is a unique accessory to any student in Kivotos, if I'm not mistaken, so there could be any number of reasons as to the purpose of it. Perhaps it's simply for style, and is only on her head, able to be removed? Or, more likely, it is somewhat embedded in her, though figuring out the specifications of what that means would be extremely invasive. However, if it's a part of her body, then that would imply it has some purpose, like helping her focus, or providing a sense of balance, or some other unknown function.
The second explanation comes from looking at her wings, as they're a full black. This would imply she hails from Trinity, but from what club is unknown. To my knowledge, nobody in Trinity speaks with her frequently enough, and with Sora being similar to her, it could be that Ayumu originally worked at Angel 24 before being recognized to work as a GSC member. All this is to say that the gem and wings contrast with her eyes and hair, making her feel very fantastical, almost like you could see her in a fantasy world, or in an epic, forgotten story...
Ayumu's operator outfit really has no difference with her appearance aside from the outfit itself. Said outfit is weirdly similar to Nell's outfit from Advance Wars. It's too similar for me not to point out, but it's also just distinct enough that it can be considered a separate design, as well.
It should come as no surprise that, if the GSC are based on the Seven Virtues/Sins, that Ayumu would embody the virtue of Diligence. However, she could also represent Kindness, assuming that her work is done to help the others have a lighter load. Humility is also another possibility, seeing how she's always seen as somewhat of a supporting character when other GSC members are present. The Sin she represents is trickier, though. If Kaya is interpreted as Pride, then that would allow Ayumu to represent Envy, which, going by, say, Momoka's relative efficiency at her work, could certainly be the case.
Ayumu's halo feels a lot like it represents a gravitational pull, but it also looks like shooting stars. While it''s not quite an astronomical phenomenon, it does seem a lot like her halo could be the view of a shooting star from Earth, like Halley's Comet, and how such a phenomenon is both very special, yet, due to its reoccurring nature, could be mundane in its own way. The typical conclusion one gets when thinking about the universe and how grand it is, and the philosophical question on if every action done in a small part of said universe matters or not.
Ayumu's hair smells like a field of flowers, almost like one could imagine frolicking in a field of daisies if there wasn't paperwork in front of you. She wouldn't need to have her hair brushed, but it would be very therapeutic with how smooth the brush would go through her hair.
