Elsewhere, Sensei and the Squad is about to enter Arius. Misaki says they probably aren't welcomed. Saori understands they are thought of as traitors. Nagisa has sent numerous messengers attempting to establish communication, but the only intel they managed to extract is this: Subaru is the student who is holding everything together. Saori describes Subaru as someone who seems agreeable but actually isn't. But that's enough talk for now. As the Squad proceed to enter Arius, Saori asks sensei one final question: why does sensei always put himself last and take up tasks at great personal cost? She doesn't want to see sensei gets hurt again, whether physical or mental. Sensei says Saori's words give him strength, and that's all he needs. Sensei asks Saori what drives her to ask that question. Saori says the journey back makes her rethink what happened, and right as Saori wants to say sorry to sensei, sensei diverts to the Arius students in Trinity and that they wanted to say thanks to the Squad. Then the subject turns to the Squad learning from the BDs sensei secretly provides. And before long, they arrive in Arius. The news quickly reaches Subaru who just finished playing all the pieces she knows. Some in the audience is aghast at the Squad's audacity to show up in Arius proper. First Trinity, now Squad, they say. Subaru, though, is focusing on the presence of sensei, with the Squad being the accessories. She declares the existing way of dealing with intruders won't work. The rest agrees, as they know sensei caused the demise of Beatrice and are uncertain about sensei's prowess and intent. Subaru calls for calm and order the students to sally forth, but reminds everyone to engage the safety on their guns. At least, for now.
