Today I want to talk about Sakurako and her hair. Sakurako's hair color looks like a pale tan, it's in-between brown and gray. It's also straight and goes down to her upper thighs, but strangely seems to be above and below that by a few inches. Her habit is particularly long, just a bit longer than her hair in her normal outfit and essentially a cape in her other outfit.
Sakurako's idol outfit is strange with how it handles her hair, because now her hair is curly and goes down to her middle thighs as opposed to being close to the upper thighs. The outfit itself also blends a lot with her hair, which I'm not much of a fan of. Synergizing is one thing, but the frills on her sleeves are basically the same color. It does make her feel ambiguous and somewhat mysterious as a result, so perhaps making her outfit blend to where it looks like she doesn't know what she's feeling was the intent. Her hair accessories are a hairband with a small top hat on the right side, with an olive-colored rose on top and a gray ribbon. Behind that are two feathers, one smaller and lighter than the other, both shades of gray. Under the hat seems to be where a veil(?) is being held, still holding shades of gray.
Sakurako's outfit feels somewhat faded in its color. It's a nice look, yes, but could it be that Sakurako is so out of touch with fashion that the low saturation has appeared as a result? Her skirt and habit have a gate-like pattern, making her frills below on her skirt look like the pearly gates. Perhaps unintentional, but very clever nonetheless. Her torso has four "flowers", though they appear more like diagonal crosses than anything else. The bottom right one is a steel blue, while the others are a simple shiny yellow. Not sure what this could reference. She's relatively mundane in her outfit, to be honest. It's 70% nun, 25% dress and 5% school outfit. The sleeves and gloves are a very nice touch, though.
How does one go about describing Sakurako's "other" outfit? It's a nun habit that is long like a cape, and Sakurako wears a latex leotard with long gloves, and even longer boots. It is very strong evidence that Sakurako doesn't know what to wear. What did she wear when she was younger, I wonder? Little Sakurako wearing silly outfits sounds like the cutest thing in her photo book!
Sakurako's idol outfit. Again, I'm not a fan of this on her. Though, maybe that's actually the point to show that Sakurako is one of the last students to go to when it comes to fashion sense. I imagine that Mine or Mari helped her pick out the earrings and necklace that really capture her eyes, because it looks very good. It could also be that Sakurako went for a very natural look, which is why she has an olive green to go with her grays and blacks. This outfit almost definitely had Hanako in the future make a joke about Sakurako wearing 50 Shades of Gray that flew over everyone's head except Koharu's. The patterns on Sakurako's upper skirt are nice, a good, traditional outfit that works for her Sisterhood attire. I personally really like the pantyhose and heels she wears, they're very nice looking on her. They're simple yet complex all the same.
Sakurako's first version is extremely shiny! It's too shiny, in fact! Look at her thighs, those are too shiny. However, the two things she does have going for her in this version of her outfit are that she holds her gun properly, and her hair is truly a masterpiece in how it could be stared at for hours and still be enjoyed. Running a brush through it would be like running a brush through air, yet somehow smoother.
Sakurako's gun and halo has birds perched on it. The gun has it perched as her sight, and the halo has them perched on either side, looking at the cross. Wings I understand, but birds, not so much.
Sakurako probably lands on the opposite end of the scale of fashion, with Hibiki on the other side. That is not to say, though, that Sakurako is ugly. In fact, Sakurako's natural beauty comes out very well because of her unfortunate sense of fasion. Her hair might not have a sheen like Hinata's, but it's very nicely cared for, and while I'm pretty bad with determining if a face looks good or not, Sakurako's face and hair combine like a clearing in the woods, with flowers dotting the grass. It all makes her purple eyes stand out like a bright star in the night sky, too. Speaking of eye color, it's interesting how Hinata, Mari and Sakurako all have related eye colors. Perhaps there's a metaphor about unity in that. What I do know is that Sakurako's hair smells strangely pure. I also know that Sakurako is very cute when she goes Wappii~
