Going by my list, today is the 100th hairpost. This post isn't going to be a blogpost about how that's pretty cool, but it is going to be a post talking about Ayane and her hair. Ayane has neck-length black hair that's straight, though it is also short enough to make this potentially ambiguous. Her hair is braided at the top of her forehead in a simple fashion, but ends on her left side with a hairpin. This hairpin is quite the smart piece, but it's always in the shape of a butterfly. In most appearances, all four wings are visible, adding a refined charm to Ayane. The red in the center lets anyone familiar with Abydos know that this is Ayane's, due to her being associated with the color red. Her bangs are rather strange in how they part above both her eyes, but there's a tuft of hair down the middle. This one is probably so her eyebrows are more readily visible, which can't be done if her hair is in the way without it looking weird.
Since Ayane's hair is short, there's not much that gets changed with her alts, so this will be condensed. Her swimsuit, for example, has her tie her hair behind her, possibly so she can ride her helicopter more comfortably, but also possibly so she doesn't get her hair in front of her glasses / eyes. There's a lock of hair that goes over each ear, making her ears stand out more. Her idol outfit has a hat on, so the status of the braid is unknown, but is either shorter, or entirely absent. The butterfly hairpin stands out a lot more due to her wearing black and white, but it works well in this case. Finally, her operator outfit has her braid visible, but her hat is skewed to the right a bit, and her butterfly hairpin has had two of its wings removed. That's why it's a smart piece, because it can be customized. The hat tilted feels like Ayane's subtle way to be self-assured, though she's still acknowledging that this is a team effort. The hairpin is on the precipice of her hair, one slip and it falls to the abyss, but it flies up in defiance of the potential fate that awaits it.
Ayane's outfit is very plain, the main thing of interest being that the butterfly even shoes up on her socks, and her loafers have bits of red on them. Ayane's constant use of red is something I personally enjoy, because it makes her feel bold, even if she's only bold whenever she's mad, but she wears her anger very well. Back to her outfits, her swimsuit's very simple, and the hoodie looks good. It's very casual, much like how her sandals are also pretty casual because they're simple and have little orange flowers on them.
Ayane's idol outfit is very nice. First, her not wearing glasses causes her to squint a bit, giving her a very badass look. Next, the boots are unzipped and different sizes, showing a very bold and rebellious look. The strap on her right thigh also helps with this. The shorts having a long black ruffled cloth gives Ayane's moves a trail behind her, helping to make one move flow into the next despite her lack of experience, as well as it potentially jerking when she makes a mistake, adding further to the rebellious look. The jacket is short and reveals the bare minimum to show enough for intrigue and nothing else, leaving the viewer wanting to see what she will do next. The necklace conflicts everything, but adds a very subtle sweetness to it, like a raspberry. The gloves and black nails are good accessories, but the posturing shows that this is Ayane because she's relatively closed, in how her left arm is down and the hand rests on her thigh, like she's very embarrassed to do this. The right arm does a very good job at accomplishing the idol pose while also showing her desire to not do this, as she doesn't quite hold her hat with confidence, but the eyes make her really sell the part. It's definitely not Ayane's normal outfit and she would probably refuse to wear this if asked, but it's a very nice side of Ayane.
Ayane's hair is very standard. She takes care of it, but there's nothing exceptional that makes it shine or blow in the wind, which feels like it fits Ayane's personality. Her hair doesn't have any strong scent, instead being what you could reasonably find in stores. However, that practical side of her is, again, very much like her.
