I really like Danganronpa so I love how derivative Manosaba is. Very hard to talk about it without spoilers but for their first game I think it's a very good start and I'm glad Japan seems to absolutely love this game too, so I'm sure we'll get more from Re,AER. I'll be there to buy it day 1.
It's very much a charage in my opinion, you don't have throwaway girls like you do in DR, there are some underutilized ones, but I think everyone who likes a character will be satisfied with what she gets.
The main weaknesses is how in 2025 this is an incredibly barebones VN: the gallery only has CGs and no character portraits or background, you don't have a soundtrack menu, you can only save during progression, but you can't save specific voicelines, there are no hide textbox options, etc. It's surprising how basic that part of the game is. It doesn't ruin anything but you can't help but notice it. The other issue is that there are parts of the plot itself, in particular,
the cases from the second loop are all solved by the player in a meta way, because you can easily deduce that no one can be a victim or a culprit twice and the final climax of the story felt pretty disappointing, like the writers were hoping you'd just get carried away by the the stakes getting higher and rapid firing reveals to not notice how some parts of it just don't work
