Hyperfunk Anonymous 10/06/2025 (Mon) 20:29:58 Id: a0a1a5 No. 1823557
Hyperchucklefuck
>>1823557 First one wasn't bad, but also wasn't that great either. Allegedly this one is addressing a lot of things, so I'll keep an eye on it.
>>1823609 I really hope it has local multiplayer
I never got what people saw in JSR The game is floaty as shit, and it wouldn't recognize my inputs when doing the QTEs
>>1823613 The steam page description seems to allude to lobby multiplayer, but nothing about local. >HYPERFUNK is 2 seconds per second of evolved funkstyle. Battle rival crews, hang out online, explore the city, do some crazy tricks and blast through the streets. >>1823635 I think its mainly the aesthetic and the music. The first leaves a lot to be desired from a platforming perspective, which cyberfunk does address pretty well.
>>1823557 What happened to the last one? I remember skipping it for some reason I've long forgotten. They really went insane with the baggy outfits. Also, is it just me or does the trailer make the path look so linear that it looks like a race course? >>1823635 Music and making it to hard to reach places. The world was also interesting.
>>1823704 >Splatoon 1 had the sorriest excuse of a local multiplayer mode ever >Splatoon 2 and 3 removed it completely >Omega Strikers looks literally made for local multiplayer, and still has none of it. >Redout had local for only 2 players, its sequel removed even that >Bomb Rush Cyberfunk has no local; its sequel apparently won't have it either Why the actual fuck is modern gaming so aggressively hostile to local multiplayer? Why is every developer assuming nobody has friends (except online)? Is Smash Bros the only remaining franchise that allows it?
>>1826073 >why is everyone so hostile to local multi-player Probably because there's basically no money in it, and people would balk at being charged for local multiplayer.
>>1826073 They conditioned normalfags to accept buying multiple copies of every game. Why would they ever encourage spending more of their time and resources on something that would cost them sales. >Is Smash Bros the only remaining franchise that allows it? Pretty much the only time there is backlash to lacking local multiplayer is when it was an established feature of a series in the past when fuckers still gave a shit. New games almost never have that expectation so no one gets angry about it there.
>>1823635 people really were talking about JSRF when they talk about JSR pretty much. JSR was pretty much stuck in that arcade game design mentality Sega was fiercely holding onto and JSRF broke away from that by making it more like THPS. Cyberfunk fixed up a lot of the wonky controls it still had but kinda lost the kind of charm it was tryong to emulate from both games sadly
