Today I want to talk about Saki and her helmeted hair. That tool shared yesterday allowing chibis to be viewed comes not a moment too soon, because now I can see the back of students hair.
Saki is known for wearing a helmet. However, when she's not wearing the helmet, she has black hair that goes down to her neck. It seems to be straight, but it's hard to tell with how her hair looks.
Saki's swimsuit has her wearing a fisher's cap. It makes sense for the mission, but it's pretty cute how even if it wouldn't necessarily help protect her, she still opts to wear something akin to a helmet. Her hair does show signs of being in the water, which also makes sense given her diving in the swimsuit. Does that make it a scuba suit? The wiki yesterday reveals something that would be actually impossible to spot, and it's that her hair is in a very small ponytail! That, and she wears an earpiece for the mission, which shows that it's doing a good job at helping her stay discrete.
Saki's outfit naturally starts with her helmet. It's a pretty interesting piece, seeing how the only group that shares any similarity to her in wearing a helmet is the Helmet Gang. That said, it's clearly a cut above the normal helmet, seeing how it is closer to a military helmet than a biker helmet. This is Kivotos, though, so just how durable is that helmet? I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually capable of protecting her from explosions. The RABBIT ears on top clearly designate her from a distance, as does the white and blue color scheme of her outfit. Her serafuku has thicker sleeves than most others, and underneath it Saki wears an undershirt, not to mention the gloves she's wearing to help provide better grip. She's definitely a capable student, but only being able to vent the heat caused by the heavy equipment through her legs and face seems like a bit much, and she likely has to be very careful in the hot months to avoid suffering from heat exhaustion. Speaking of her legs, her boots are surprisingly light,, especially in their soles. They're likely steel-toed, though, so getting kicked is a bad idea. Saki wears knee guards that are likely meant more to let her take hits as opposed to help her brace (like in Miyu's case). Saki's equipment shows that she's the survivalist of the group, as she carries many different pouches, within containing various different items, from campfire starter kits to rations to even medicines to help if radiation is in the area. But of course, the most important thing she has is her manual. Even in daily conversation she wields it, showing just how dedicated she is to using the lessons within.
Saki's swimsuit is a two-piece, but not a bikini for once. The top is definitely the diving part, likely lent from Valkyrie, going by the KVST on the left side of it. The lower part is a simple swimwear bottom, likely chosen light to not have Saki overheat in the water. Her sandals provide good grip for her, but are also able to be removed should she need to switch to her flippers. Saki's equipment once again captures her spirit, as she has a utility belt as well as a duffel bag which likely contains all sorts of water safety items. The watch she wears might be a new piece, but could also be obscured by the normal outfit. It's definitely waterproof.
Saki's hair... It's definitely not the nicest smelling hair out there. And, quite frankly, averages out to be the worst-smelling hair of the squad. However, she definitely knows the virtues of cleanliness as well as ways to improve her hygeine when supplies are limited. So while yes, her hair and helmet will likely smell pretty earthy (to put it politely) after a mission, it's at least muted somewhat during down time, since smelling terrible all the time would wear anyone down. Even if she had resources, she probably wouldn't care to have her hair smell like anything, instead opting for her hair to smell clean. So to reiterate: Saki's hair will likely not smell bad most the time. Just a bit earthy. Just be careful during the hotter months, that would definitely be the worst times for her and her hair.
Doesn't mean I wouldn't try to help wash and brush her hair, even if I'm getting pummeled in the process. I personally really like the expressions she makes, she's a very lively RABBIT.
