Today I want to talk about Ritsu and her hair. A cute, yet frankly intimidating student whose gun is a mercy to whoever faces her (compared to her fists), Ritsu has neck-length hair that's not quite yellow, but also not quite green. It's a specific hue that you'd see in a key lime pie. Ritsu's hair has a defining feature, and that's her huge ahoge. Its size and shape, as well as being that pale green hue, is reminiscent of an alien. She also has air vents, though these are more useful in showing how her hair is somewhat thick despite its short length.
Unfortunately, there's not a lot to go off of with Ritsu. But I find her interest in "SPACEHAMZ" fascinating. Why does she like hamsters so much, specifically ones in space? Does she find them relatable in some way, even if she can't quite put her finger on it? Or does she simply find them cute? But then what about the space part? With Ritsu, she might be outwardly simple, like a chunk of marble. But inside, there's something thoughtful, perhaps even provocative.
Ritsu is the first non-mage in Wild Hunt that I'm going over (Akira was the fourth entry, her being WH was speculation at that time). Hamster with me if I get some things wrong, as information regarding WH is very lacking!
Wild Hunt's an odd case. On one hand, being a school of artists likely means they're given some degree of freedom with their hair (which the Occult Research Society takes full advantage of). On the other, it wouldn't be surprising to know that there's some minimum care that's expected to be taken into a student's hair. As such, Ritsu likely has clean hair, the scent of which depending on if smelling like dessert is banned or not. It's probably not, so Ritsu gets to enjoy the scent of sweets even if she's not actively smuggling in any.
