Today I want to talk about Karin and her hair. Karin has straight black hair that goes down to her calves. As one of the C&C students, she wears a maid headband, since that's part of the normal uniform provided. She has a gradient to her hair, in that it becomes a dark purple; however, this doesn't show up in her bangs, possibly because her hair needs to grow really long in order for it to be noticed. Right in front of her maid headband is an ahoge, though her sprite hides it. It's more obvious in her chibi, or her memolobby, since it's caught at a better angle. Finally, Karin's hair in her sprite has a lot of action in how spread it all is, which is ironic given her being the sniper (and being the calmest member of C&C).
Karin's bunny outfit has her hair tied up in a ponytail, and her hair is even crazier than before with how it dances and weaves within itself. Since she's wearing a bunny outfit, she naturally wears a bunny headband... Which also shows Karin's bangs having hair vents. This also happens in her school outfit, but it's significantly subtler there, to the point that it can only be inferred in her sprite and is better seen in her memolobby. Speaking of which...
Karin's school outfit has her hair a lot calmer than her other outfits, mostly going straight down with the odd strand of hair making a turn before returning to the main route. This also shows Karin standing up straight, bringing her hair closer to her knees than her calves, though this quickly reveals itself to be much messier than originally thought (CS Millennium 11 has her hair slightly swaying in the wind, but should go down to her knees. CS PV4 036 2, however, clearly shows Karin's hair at her calves, though it could be argued this is to identify her, but even CS S1 Final 38 has her hair, if it weren't swaying in the wind, go down to her calves). Either way, here Karin still has her relaxed ahoge, as well as the inferred hair vents. The reason they're inferred is because near the root of her hair, there's what appears to be darkening, suggesting that her hair vents provides shade to the area directly underneath them.
I think it's safe to say that Karin and Asuna have incredibly similar methods in taking care of their hair, going by how close the two seem to be. Winning hair or not, Karin strikes me as someone who'd have a calmer scent to her hair... Even though it smells really familiar to Asuna's. Perhaps it's a case where it's not so much the product itself, but rather how it's worn?
