Today I want to talk about Neru and her hair. Before that, a fun fact: Neru's hobby is winning. This is irrelevant, but I think it's an interesting hobby.
Neru has bold orange hair that goes down to her neck. It becomes progressively redder as you go further down its length, this is more clearly shown in her beta sprite. Speaking of which, her beta sprite is essentially the same outfit, just posed differently and with messier hair (but I will be using the non-beta sprite for consistency's sake). On Neru's left is a braid that, going by C&C's group story, is typically done by Akane. The braid has a neon blue and a hazard-yellow tag at the end, the blue one showing the Millennium logo, and the yellow one with the text "MILLENNIUM" on it (in case someone doesn't know the logo, I suppose). These seem to be what holds the end of Neru's braid, going by the black band. Her bangs are mainly on her right, almost covering the eye of the tiger that lurks beneath. Neru, being a C&C agent, wears a headband as part of the uniform, though I'm pretty sure hers is a bit messier compared to the others. Finally, despite Neru having short hair, she has a truly mighty ahoge. It's massive! Going by CS Millennium 43, it may even extend as far down as her waist. It also has a noticeable crease near the top, suggesting it's been a trusty companion to Neru's career.
BunNeru. Neru's bunny leotard definitely looks like it's a risky piece of clothing... But aside from that, Neru's hair is mostly the same, the main difference being her bunny ears that go with the bunny outfit, because she is (begrudgingly) bunny Neru. Oh, and also her ahoge seems to be bigger, and even has a second crease! Maybe if it got long enough it would become a flower?
Neru's school outfit... Is almost same as the other two. Maybe the second crease in Neru's hair was always there, but it's very subtle to the point it's almost hidden? Perhaps. Anyways, the difference between Neru's school outfit and her other outfits is that her bangs are more uniform, as opposed to being heavy on her right. It's plausible that this could be her having pulled the bangs back on her bunny outfit, but it seems like a tall ask for this to also be in her normal outfit... That, and the aforementioned group story, this simply doesn't seem to exist (at this point in time). Perhaps Neru's hair grew?
Neru seems like she'd be relatively average in her hair care. However, her lifestyle likely leads to her hair being messy due to C&C work or just simply getting into a fight. That's probably why Akane helps in taking care of it, since it's so high maintenance. This would also naturally lean towards Neru's hair typically smelling like soot, gunpowder and whatever else was involved in the fight (at least once would it probably smell spicy). Assuming the best case scenario, it would probably just smell fine. A bold scent, of course, meant to accentuate her awesome factor and also instill fear in her enemies. What does victory smell like, anyways?
