Chinese and Korean Interactive Movie Games Anonymous Id: 25c91a No. 2083107
I bought one of these on a whim during the Steam winter sale and it snowballed into me buy 6 or 7 of them. Have you played any of these FMV games? What do you think of them? Five Hearts Under One Roof was the first one I played and while I didn't think the writing was great it got a few laughs out of me and I enjoyed grinding achievements. Seeing what each choice did and viewing all the different endings was enjoyable for me. After that I bought a bunch of them and now I'm slowly making my way through them. I played Love is All Around second, and looking into these games I've learned that this was the big one that made these games popular and all the newer ones copy. I really struggled to get into this one. The pacing was weird and it felt like scenes were missing. One minute I'm living with the cute college girl, then the next minute I'm homeless with no explanation of why I'm no longer living there. The after an entire chapter without seeing the girl I was living with she pops up again and they say she just quietly moved out without saying anything. It also doesn't help that the subtitles were bugged and there were a few times where the subtitle would flash onscreen for a second and disappear giving you no time to read it. I haven't bothered to do everything in this game and I'm not sure I will. My experience with this made me nervous I might just not like the Chinese games, which I had already bought many of. The one I finished most recently was Don't Fool Me, Beauties. This was made by the same developer as Five Hearts Under One Roof, so I was expecting not to enjoy the writing much again. I found this game to be much better written though. It helped that it had a smaller cast of 4 girls instead of 5, and all 4 girls were introduced in the first 2 chapters so you had plenty of time with them. Five Hearts Under One Roof introduced it's final girl in chapter 4, and all of these games I've played so far have only had 6 chapters + endings. I liked this one enough that I went and got all of the achievements again, but this one had way more choices and bad endings to get than Five Hearts Under One Roof. By the time I unlocked everything I was burnt out and ready to move on, but I still enjoyed it. Don't Fool Me, Beauties is my favorite so far. I've just started Knowledge, Or Know Lady, this is another Chinese one. I was a bit nervous going into this one because of how I didn't care for Love is All Around, but so far I'm enjoying this one quite a bit. So it seems like Love is All Around just wasn't for me, but the other Chinese games might be fine. So yeah, I'm enjoying these interactive movies so far. I don't know how much I will be invested in them in the long term, or if this is just a phase. I can say I've been having fun so far. And one final thing before I stop posting, I really like that most of the games I've played have in game character popularity polls. As you progress you unlock items that you can then use to vote for your favorite characters. It is fun to see who is the most popular, and I was actually a bit disappointed when I started Knowledge, Or Know Lady and it didn't have a ranking.

>>2083107 >>2083161 >>2083165 I'm gonna combine your posts into one. Still, I have never played any of these games but am curious about the price since I do know there's a market for these kinda niche FMV games.
>FMV games are back I never thought I would see the day.
>>2083107 >Chinese and Korean Interactive Movie Games I had no idea these were even a thing. I'm not into the subject matter at all so that is not too shocking though.
>>2083368 >Still, I have never played any of these games but am curious about the price The Korean ones are more expensive than the Chinese ones, but I think the most expensive Korean one I've seen was $20. The Chinese ones are between $10 - $15. On the Steam sale the most expensive one I bought was Five Hearts Under One Roof for just under $10 at 50% off, and the cheapest I bought was a Chinese one for $3. The price isn't bad if you plan to get all the achievements because that so far it has taken me around 10 hours for both the games I did all the achievements in.
>>2083462 They'll eventually replace the cinematic AAA shit once they die over.
>>2083107 >FMV VNs Whichever autistic thought to remake VNs but for foids wanting an aloof executive deserves his billion dollars
Absolutely horrendous women.
These surgery gooks are such a fascinating species..
>>2085526 When I know how much plastic surgery they probably went through, it becomes impossible for me to find Korean women attractive. So while I do like a good VN, crap like this is impossible to get into. Truly, the 3D-est and the most PD-est possible.
I remember dating a Korean girl back before it was a whole fetish and Korean culture got super popular with westerners. I never even thought of her as ‘Korean’ or anything—she was just a cute girl to me A couple years later I ran into her again, and she told me she’d never found anyone like me since. Every guy who hit on her after that was some huge Korean obsessed weeaboo who basically just wanted to check off a fetish.
>>2083107 the whole point of vidya is to avoid 3dpd >but the old games like night trap if that shit had a future it wouldn't have been beaten by 2d
>>2085816 It's like the surgeries made them into a new type of species. They aren't gooks but they aren't white either. Its some strange unnatural medical alien race designed for beauty. I imagine It's like opening up an Easter egg every time they have a kid that look nothing like them.
>>2085990 They remind me of those androids from 20 years ago. It's like someone calculated how to sculpt the perfect female face, but got drunk before actually doing it and ended up making a series of faulty Michael Jackson clones.
>>2083107 What's unfortunate is the longer the face is forehead to chin, the older a person looks All these women just managed to make themselves look old by shaving their jaws into points and pulling their hair back. Meanwhile by keeping a shorter/rounder head shape these >>2086150 end up looking more youthful and kinda cute despite being obviously fake.
>>2085990 >>2086150 Yeah there's this uncanny valley effect going on, similar to looking at a tranny in a way. You can tell that thing's fake.
>>2083107 Are these just just picture slideshow multimedia things or are they actual games? If so what are they VNs? Or more like something like Night Trap?
>>2086408 Interactive movie in a VN format. The few clips I saw showed bottom tier anime writing/characters. Think of the worst trash isekai anime, and this is it with plastic korean bitches. If you don't like kpop, this isn't for you.
