Last Game You Played Anonymous 04/19/2024 (Fri) 13:55:05 No. 1675
Hey you. Yeah, you. What was the last game you played? I just played some Noita last night.
>>1675 999: 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors on DS
>>29085 I watched a let's play of Virtue's Last Reward around ten years ago. Fun game, definitely better than I was expecting based solely on the animu visuals. Also incredibly sad in that one ending where the robot lady starts dying :( Anyway, those games are surprisingly good. Always meant to give the other ones a try.
I just 100%ed (or rather 1000%ed) Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, both the main mode and Sisters Mode. (Technically you can't get the final two rooms in Sisters Mode, but whatever.) I started a playthrough as Richter, and I do love playing as Richter and Maria, especially Loli Maria from Rondo of Blood, and getting to switch between them with the press of a button is really cool. That said, there just isn't enough new content, so I might not bother to beat the game as them. And I don't think I have the patience or will to unlock and play Old Axe Armor mode, either. I feel bad because I 100%ed almost every Castlevania game, but I already gave up on Lament of Innocence, where I only did the main mode and didn't bother with the extra modes. Maybe I'll try to go back and do Joachim mode, but I really hated Lament of Innocence. Also just now I'm realizing I accidentally skipped Curse of Darkness. I guess I'll have to do that before Order of Ecclesia. I wanna beat every Castlevania game, and I guess while I might skip some of the extra modes, and I'll try to do any that have their own stories. Also I skipped Vampire Killer for MSX but I tried to play it. That game just seriously sucks balls. Great ideas, but not executed well at all. And this is coming from a guy that loves Simon's Quest. I wish somebody would try to port Vampire Killer to the NES, give it the controls and physics of the original Castlevania. Then it would probably be good. Also give it infinite lives like it was clearly supposed to have.

Still waiting for a flight simulator so realistic that it doesn't let me land the largest plane in the world on a random farm
KLAX (unlicensed) for NES.
>>1675 infinitode 2, I'm too much of a drooling retard to advance unless I've got a shit ton of upgrades before unlocking the next tower or fighting the next boss
>>29125 Remember you can land anything, anywhere at least once

>>29589 Zoomer is cuckchan lingo Ludo is actually 8/tv/ lingo Cuckchanners call videogames "kino"
>>29592 >Kino Nope, that's for movies and TV.
>>29594 I know multiple zoomers who use it to describe video games. It might've originally been for films and TV but it has spread to being a vidya term.
>>29596 >It might've originally been for films Yeah it was. It is originally a Russian term that means "film", and it can also mean the same in German. The Russian who coined the term also coined "Absolute Kinography" to describe his own film. Many years later, it became slang in smaller internet circles, then it eventually reached halfchan. Anons there started using the word kino to describe good movies, or to call a bad movie good ironically. >but it has spread to being a vidya term. Given how well known halfchan is now, and how many of its users also use social media, the term has spread even further. You can now see people all over reddit and instagram using the term kino. "Absolute Cinema" has become popularized too, and you've likely seen many variations on the original with various characters. So now we have normalfags calling everything kino from games to memes to speeches to anime. They did the same with the terms "fire" and "banger", though instead of coming from ebonics, "kino" comes from halfchan. This mass popularity has been going on for at least a year I'd say.
I finally played Slay the Spire after letting it sit in my library for like three years. Fun game, really easy to get into as a deck builder. You've got cards, you gotta kill those guys with the cards, you win cards to build your deck. Ez-pz. Definitely makes sense why it blew up so much back when it came out. Also really low-resource in terms of games. If you game on a laptop or something definitely give this one a try.

>>29969 >implying I ever made a reddit account. Nah
Armored Core 1 for PS1 via my PS Vita 2000. I have succeeded at each of the 6-7 missions that I've done so far. I bought a couple of different guns from the in-game shop (needed to sell a previous weapon to make sure I had enough for a currently equipped Rifle as well as 2 optional parts). Still need to earn more credits to be able to obtain a more versatile missile compartment and a different engine for my AC. It will take at quickest, 3 more successful missions with at least 2/3rds being done with little, if any damage taken for me to be able to afford ANY energy weapons, even the laser pistol.
>>30093 Oops, I remembered wrong. I actually completed 5 missions in total so far on Armored Core 1.
Millipede for Atari VCS/2600. Damn shame it never came out for the 5200, nor Atari 8-bit line of computers.
>>30185 why not just play the arcade version? it definitely looks better. is there a meaningful gameplay difference?
>>30186 Well, because I wanted to play it on Atari VCS/2600. Also, MAME became WAY more fucking clunky out of the box when, after switching from C to C++ as its code base over a decade ago, the devs made another major misstep by taking M.E.S.S. and fusing it with MAME by late 2015-early 2016. Well, there's still the choice of a number of certain dedicated NEO GEO emulators and a few still-active forks of MAME...
