A thread for posting Ideas. Can be stories, Items, campaigns or even entire systems if you have an idea for those. I will start! So the idea is for a weapon, for reference I am going to use D&D rules. It is a sword simply called "Tyr". Its a +5 longsword but it has a curse that makes it so every time you enter combat you must do a willpower DC 15 saving throw. This is to represent the fact that the sword makes you feel far more afraid than normal. If you fail your character is paralyzed with fear and must overcome the DC 15 saving throw to snap out of it. On top of all of this you have disadvantage on any saving throws involving fear. Why does a sword named after the bravest of the gods make you afraid? its simple. The sword itself is a test of bravery, Only those who can overcome their fear are worthy of wielding it. Much like how Tyr, The bravest of the gods overcame his fears time and time again. DC check is probably way too high though. Any thoughts?

I had another idea. Heavily based off of Turok Dinosaur hunter. Ranger subclass: Future tech. Main ability:Psychic commune. Once per long rest the Ranger may psychically contact the inter dimensional time lounge. There he may take equipment from the future with him into his own timeline with certain limitations. These tools all have a points value and the ranger may not take more than necessary. The value for the maximum amount of equipment is proficiency bonus times 2. So at first you will only get 4 points worth of equipment from the future. This equipment mainly comes in weaponry. Explosive arrows, sticky grenades, rocket launchers and laser rifles. The ranger may also get utility gear like a jet pack or a voice changer. Its not a whole lot but I think the idea could be fun. I can't think of a way to really make it balanced but since when does D&D give a rats ass about balance?

I joined a DnD group a couple months ago and everyone likes to make stupid jokes about their characters to the point they constantly ask "which DnD character" (or just w) to pics and videos they find. The most notable running joke of the group is one of our friends having insane roll luck, to the point we call him "Protag boy", one of his character is a natural MC to the main campaign and he kind of hates when it's pointed out. There's also a couple running jokes I made completely on accident regarding one of my characters where she has a shipper brainrot with two characters (both ran by the same player) and has an one-sided crush on another character both in the main campaign AND an alternate joke campaign a different GM set up (and she is somehow even worse on the crushing there, like Sakura Haruno levels of worse). The two gifrels became signature with that running joke of my character locking the fuck in whenever this other character is around. >Diana when Cu'Jay spotted.

So back on halfchan, I had posted a mtg fanset called "Reflections: What could have been". Well I had gotten some great feedback, and thus, wanted help with inspiration for my next set Dreams. However, that died with the site, and required me to post single cards multiple times a day just to keep the thread from 404. Here things seem more mellow, so I'll start again. I'll start with the four color 'colorless' cards. which is entirely anachronistic for a set inspired by the earliest days of Magic, but I included them. Everything else here exists with the intent to be played in the 93/95 card pool, as a proverbial "what if?" set. I did modernize the text (since this is the fourth draft of the set). Also after these four cards, green text will be mechanical comments, red text lore comments. I'd appreciate all feedback, praise, hate, ect. I'd also appreciate any art recommendations, with the one cavet they have to be public domain art. Now, lets go.

I recently beat the introduction for Ravenloft called death house and I liked it quite a bit. The whole mystery was very well done. My GM was playing it with an additional expansion that added a whole stress mechanic like in darkest dungeon though and that I think added a lot. He did mention he nerfed it a little bit. He apparently removed some enemy encounters because he thought they were boring. The final boss was untouched though. I am disappointed there is no way to avoid fighting the beast, Like just sacrificingthe kids or another player would have been an evil way to start ravenloft but I guess not. Anyone else here who has played death house? Also general ravenloft thread.

Question: Does anyone know where I can get Chimpanzee bits? I thought about just taking little chimpanzee toys and glueing them to guardsman bodies to make the chimp guard.
