4chan /a/ recommendation pics Anonymous 04/16/2025 (Wed) 09:06:22 No. 5498
dumping my folder
No Kodomo no Jikan in any of these lists? I'm disappointed /a/.
>>57191 Maybe you should try actually watching anime instead of making useless charts then. Those are all big series, whether generally or even on /a/ in the past.
>>57234 qualify "big" I dare you, because all the ones I heard of but chose not to see have all proven to be massive flashes in the pan, and those I did I wouldn't put on any all-time chart

>>57157 This isn't really OC. The premise of the thread itself is: >There are people coming from 4chan, I will le redpill them by posting charts from.... 4chan >proceed to dump charts literally labeled "/a/-core", "essential meme anime" and stuff with literal reddit usernames in them >>57213 What's missing is really where the real value lies, you're surface level retard doesn't really appear to be aware of Kiichi either which is curious, non non biyori is mind boggingly absent despite being the premiere SoL, forgotten otaku-only classics like Mai-Hime and Sentou Yousei Yukikaze are completely absent, and while Usogui is mentioned, seems like reddit doesn't truly know about the insane autism that is Sako https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0igVWYMQ5vY If an anime or manga is good, better to just discuss it indiviudually and describe its merits in detail. I wouldn't place much value in charts. There's a lot of new stuff missing here as well obviously, (basically all of it) like if someone didn't know about Iruma-kun I would likely just assume they are a retard, and saying you like Boogiepop or Kaiji certainly isn't going to change my opinion. I'd say there's more value in liking new things than old things, especially when people start scraping the barrel. Ironically you can really spot a newfag when they aren't familiar with new things. Sifting through old things is insecure newfag behavior.
>>57191 it's not the worst list of best shows (by western tastes) over the last 5 years. It's certainly varied enough.
(3.78 MB 1850x7829 1609055507174.jpg)

>>57191 >I think the problem is that there just aren't any big tentpole series that everyone has to watch any more What in the world are you talking about?
(64.93 KB 1440x1440 OCs making.png)

>>57157 It's probably something like this One other issue with less interesting OCs being made, here on 8chan but also in the last years everywhere, is that the advertisers are poisoning all communities with their forced memes and fake-activity, to the point where the noise is so high the natural process of OC making gets disrupted
>>57294 You don't have to cycle your IP every single post, you know.
>>57298 Tell that to my ISP, hello datamining BO btw
>>57301 Your ISP isn't changing your IP every 5 minutes.
>>57304 If you believe that that's your own opinion, I have nothing to tell you
>>57308 > I have nothing to tell you You sure have a lot of dumbass things to say about charts and "OC" though. Yeah, its a conspiracy you aren't being spoonfed with shitty charts any more. You are simply outside of the anime community because you aren't interested, just let it go and find something more productive to do with your time. In the past your lack of interest wasn't clear because ignorance was more abundant. The charts won't bring you back to a time of ignorance.
>>57294 There should be a law making it obligatory for advertisers online to identify themselves, and everytime an advertiser is caught shilling while larping, both his advertising firm and the client for which its working must be fined with a % of their profits. Until that law is passed and enforced, the slow rot of all internet will continue.
To the local menhera I've already posted in this thread before and I had these IDs: f1616a (1), 15daf4 (2), 9aad98 (3) If this can make you feel less paranoid What's really upsetting you btw? Is it the recommendation charts? Is it the 4chan refugees? Or both?

Now that 4niggers are gone can we just delete this stupid troll thread?
>>60083 What's the point of keeping up a thread with actual reddit charts in it? Not sure what your goal is here.
Is there a chart for post 2020 anime that doens't fucking suck?
>>59875 Can we delete your stupid troll ass?
>>60141 How am I trolling? I am asking what the point of keeping a thread up with charts that have literal reddit usernames on them. The topic of the thread is charts and the proposed purpose of the thread was to "inform newfags". How does dumping a folder full of reddit charts accomplish this goal? How does this relate to imageboards not creating OC anymore? By what nature is a chart OC when any chimp can just make one easily? Several of these charts use relatively new sites which automatically generate charts, which likely took under 1 minute to make. How can this be considered OC but actually taking 1 minute to describe an anime and what you like about it is not "OC"? What purpose is there is a chart listing anime between X and Y years or featuring Z genre when there are thousands of websites capable or sorting anime and manga in the same manner? You will not engage in discussion because you have no originality, there is nothing going on in your brain. You cannot even discuss the very thread that you made, just stubbornly bump it hoping you can "trick" someone stupid into falling into your creed of unoriginality. This is quite kuso. You are a kuso individual and probably a baka as well.
Back when these old charts were made a lot of newfags on /a/ at the time got their taste from people like Digibro and GrumpyJiisan. Its kind of sad and silly when you know where things originated. However, these types of people made a pretty big effort to actually justify what they liked, and charts were just a compression of those ideas. Its a cargo cult of sorts. If you post a chart and I ask >why is Chou Hatsumei Boy Kamipan worth watching And you can't answer that, why in the hell did you post that chart? It just feels like kinda retarded honestly. If you're letting a chart guide what you watch you're probably not gunna watch anything good.
Can you point me to which charts you are talking about?
>>60172 People use by anime listing sites because they can't decide by themselves what to watch, the charts are really just the tip of the iceberg in that sense But at the same time they are also proof of community work and collaboration, something which is supplanted by artificial and forced memes today
>>51288 Posting on 4chan between 2018-2025 causes brain damage. The ridiculous conditions for threads you like staying around or brining more posters to them is like being a caged rat receiving a mix of shocks and treats. You behave a certain way to avoid pain and the contents of your posts are tailored to maximize the treats. Those behaviors do not inspire OC at all. The fleeting duration of threads do not inspire posting OC. Phoneposters don't have tools to make OC. There is not even the usual hivemind sync of values between anons on the same board in the same thread for the same topic. You have the third world mixed in, if not outnumbering, your typical anon. Anons were always anonymous but they were not quite as distant as strangers. Strangers don't understand 'in' jokes. The sort of humor you had to experience the same or similar things to understand. That humor is almost absent from today's 4chan. What remains are memes from years ago or garbage from outside. Recovery from years of that doesn't happen overnight.
(2.24 MB 1903x4081 redditchart.jpg)

>>60187 >But at the same time they are also proof of community work and collaboration I would argue most of these aren't really the result of collaboration, you're being a bit too optimistic there. The problem is that charts lack any justification or reviews, so I'd feel less bad about even directing retards to garbage like MAL instead. >>60181 You'll have to be more specific. Here's one chart from reddit that was posted earlier, as an example.
>>60198 >The problem is that charts lack any justification or reviews Like what instead? What has " justification or reviews" ?
>>60201 Posting about an anime or manga you like and then talking about it. I will ask again >why is Chou Hatsumei Boy Kamipan worth watching Why would anyone follow a chart if no one can explain why shit is on there? Its just dumb lol
>>60198 Getting reposted to reddit doesn't make it reddit.
>>60207 >reposted Anon the only one who's reposting here is you. I've highlighted his username for you. And its the second version of it so you can't even feign mental retardation there. Keep this stuff on /r/4chan.

>>60103 Maybe if I make one
(1.16 MB 1903x4081 jq59q94vq4m948q9.jpg)

>>60212 I got you bro.
>>60204 Aren't you worring too much about what the others think or from where they get their ideas? If some people want to feed themselves with second hand opinions and follow wagons, how does that affects you personally? Not defending the npc, but you may be grabbing this matter from the wrong corner. How do you pick a new show to watch instead?
>>60325 >Aren't you worring too much about what the others think or from where they get their ideas? No, because over the course of 25+ years I've seen this blow up in my face and make 4chan worse than the "typical"wagon followers. Things don't happen in a vacuum. >How do you pick a new show to watch instead? <Using accumulated knowledge of directors, animators, and writers, and following the threads of where people of interest are working, who's working under them, what other works they are interested in, etc. <Actually discussing anime with others, thinking about exactly why I like things and how to properly articulate that so I can convey what I enjoy to others and perhaps find out why they really enjoy things from angles I may have not considered. <Following truckloads of manga, which generally decide what gets adapted into anime <Faithfully watching seasonals, just endlessly, for years and years. Don't even bother with anime if you're unwilling to watch new things. Keep an eye on ratings in Japan to make sure I don't overlook anything. <Finding certain "keystone" anime and manga over time, which unlocks another layer awareness in searching for new things, like grabbing the first thread in a spider web then pulling. Kodomo no Jikan was mentioned earlier, and as a manga thats an excellent example. Pulling up some old blog with a high effort breakdown of KnJ is going to unveil all sorts of interesting things, no one that isn't already in neckdeep is praising that. Are some examples. You literally just have to unapologetically watch anime and read manga while not limiting yourself by genre or time period while enthusiastically engaging with the medium, basically. And to reiterate, obviously no one in this thread is going to do this. Its easier to look at the same charts over and over then just circularly virtue signal about those endlessly. Which leads to people accidentally following charts from reddit while calling others newfags.
>>60367 >25+ years *20 I'm not that old.
