There's a kind of beauty in the efficiency of scaling down the cost and resources of something grand and expensive while still keeping as much effectiveness as possible. It shows logical growth and progression in an ever-changing arms race. Much cooler to adopt a clearly superior design into your bulk forces than having the one super special suit and the designated fodder units.

Holy fucking kino. Surprisingly great choreography in that short fight sequence, rare to see movements make sense this much. What a great episode. I feel like the story was made up as the show went along though, it's pretty weird. Thankfully the enitre atmosphere of it makes me not give a shit about realism or things making sense even if I normally bitch about these things. The wonders of good directing

>>5730 actually, my girlfriend doesn't like gundam. her thing is Fire Emblem, or Atelier, particularly Sophie(the first, she ignores that Sophie 2 even exists). funnily enough, the girl i watched 79 with is also a lesbian lol. she's the one i'm watching GWitch with. the girl i watched 0083 with is too. the gundam fans in my life are are gay women, or my brother. anyway, personal blogging over. i finished 0083 about an hour ago, including both Cima OVAs. i think Cima might by my favourite gundam woman so far; Sayla was by far my pick for 79's best character, but Cima might take her place as my favourite. during the final credits, i couldn't hold back my tears. 0083 was amazing, i think everyone who hasn't seen it should give it a try. the visuals are incredible, the soundtrack is really, really good, and the story is engaging to the point that even taking a one day break from watching left me itching for more, beyond what 79 did. my only complaint was monsha, because he's just horrible. Nina was an amazing character, i think i liked her more than the male leads. her struggle and suffering hit hard. i liked Gato quite a lot; he's probably the zeon loyalist i like the most. i'm excited to watch Zeta now, and i think i'll watch it before GWitch because my friend is still quite busy. i'll be watching Zeta alone, but i think i'll wait a week or two before i start it. i want to let 0083 occupy my mind for some time before i move on.
