>as long as the derailing isn't beyond stupid and its civil
Frank you're contradicting yourself. You've deleted posts for derailing, posts that weren't "stoopid" or "uncivil" and that people were engaging just fine. I may not post here often but I have lurked for years, you've been called out for this more than once.
>How do you think /co/'s jojo anons lasted so long loitering in the Adventure Time general before the second site nuking?
Mostly I assume you didn't dislike Jojo and a lot of posters would be pissed if you did that, and you're not trying to actively kill your board on purpose.
>the posts/replies 'other places' always include the board link.
Actually they don't. Some do, others do not. And you're dodging the main point; FILTERS EXIST, USE THEM.
>There's a difference between a board's header and an Anon going around shilling in the responses
I wasn't talking about Board Header, nor did I ever mention it.
>So is vidya
Again with lopsided argument. Video Games are games, outside of specific, story driven ones like TLOU, DnD etc. they don't get mentioned often outside of the context of games within gaming boards.
>hey all know better than to bother one another.
Because all the /v/ boards are full of autistic retards that have beef with one another and everyone else half the time, and the only thing they hate universally is Mark and his heavy-handedness on criticism while allowing CP, blacked spam and other garbage stay up for hours at a time.
>I haven't kept up with the site's features
You're BO, that's literally your responsibility. And the idea is a good one, as accidental deletions by Users happen and they can't recover them, you can. Same as unfair deletions, if contested you can restore them. You can also delete them from the temp bin and you're supposed to report CSAM to global moderation before deleting, so that global can do something about it.
>its been already been shared.
Yes and a new thread was made, it was shared to let people know. The Death Battle Thread isn't going to be abandoned, that's not how posting works; you don't stop posting on a board just because you post on another one. Why does this bother you so much LMAO? I checked Overboard, the likelyhood of you seeing an RWBY post outside of the board is very low and even RWBY posts aren't that common, because /v/ and it's related boards dominate discourse.
>saying " Hey everybody come here instead' with a hard link
Some anons stick to /co/ more than other boards, some stick to RWBY, letting people know that "hey this new thread exists on the other place BTW" is nothing big. Most OPs in RWBY link to other boards with related topics to the thread in question. Are people shilling those boards on RWBY? No.
>the rooster teeth/rwby thread is one of the oldest still living threads on the board. I should know, I made it.
Frank I recall a post you made, either here or on 8kunt where you quite openly stated disliking RT/RWBY, and deleted RWBY posts in the past for no reason. You can like or dislike what you want, You have your own tastes, but don't pretend.
>the exodus is over, everyone already knows about it
I reiterate, why do you care?
>intl
Comparing their spam to offhanded posts linking to rwby is disingenuous at best.
TL;DR: Hide, Ignore and Filter. You're making a mountain out of a molehill and need to relax. This RWBY boogieman is living rent-free in your head right now. If you REALLY don't want this just do a Warning Ban with a Warning Message instead of killing discourse on an already slow board. I guarantee you nobody is gonna stop posting on /co/ just because they also post on /rwby/ that is unless all they do is post about RWBY in which case you're better off for it.
