Gauss rifle for sale /k/ommando 08/13/2021 (Fri) 23:16:31 No. 405
>However, since we are in the infancy of the technology, that means a 20-pound rifle (20 pounds without battery, that is) fires its 12mm steel projectile at a muzzle velocity of about 275 fps, producing 65 foot-pounds of energy. This is not enough energy to decapitate an enemy while simultaneously setting them on fire, video-game style, but it does generate about as much punch as a .22 short. And it sells for $3775 Wow that sounds useless. I would post some ballistic gel, but when you are getting a fifth of the muzzle velocity offered by red ryder, well you don't post tests publicly apparently. Shocking I know.

Arcflash labs is based out of Las Angeles, California. Fully charged the battery is good for 40 rounds. The magazine holds ten. Sure looks cool, but for a plinker you can do better in every category at a 10th of the cost. Ruger 10/22 just can't stop winning.
>>405 Oh and you have to sign a waiver when you buy it. Because apparently it might explode at any second. Which on one hand fair enough, and on the other hand Glock never made me sign a waiver.
>>406 This is why I hate any EM "weapon", they're all fucking useless. The thermodynamic inefficiency of converting chemical energy to electric energy, and then to kinetic energy is obviously less efficient than going straight from chemical to kinetic. You're adding an extra step which means it's never going to be as efficient. >>407 Why not integrate a 10 round battery with the 10 round mag?
>>517 Yeah see? It took you ten minutes to think of a better way of doing this then the californian developers. I don't know man. I assume because they just bolted a gokart battery onto it and called it a day.
>>518 Next step, a handheld gundam dainsleif
