XSeed: "Senran Kagura Would not Prosper in the West in This Day and Age" Anonymous 08/13/2024 (Tue) 20:30:17 Id: f3e482 No. 1001039 >>1108342 >>1125262
This really needs its own thread because of how right STUPID this shit is. This is like banning RPGs on the Sega Saturn levels of stupid, all because of retarded twitter/reddit/discord politics. These people can't see outside their little Californian bubble, and it pisses me the fuck off. The console game market is run by people who hate games, that's the only excuse I can think of when explaining this malicious ignorance. It's been proven time and time again that these games sell as long as there's a good gameplay structure. Even with an above average gameplay structure, Stellar Blade selling over a million copies in the past year alone PROVES that now is the best time to release Senran Kagura IN SPITE of gaming journalists and the reddit/twitter/discord grooming audience. Not only that, but the entire mobile market with games like Blue Archive and NIKKE is making millions of dollars in capital. You could make the market that "Oh it's just whales", but I would argue that's not a legitimate excuse when Stellar Blade sells over a million copies and other games like fucking Capes don't even sell close to that. That's not to mention Flintlock that has its numbers inflated by Gamepass only sold half the amount of Stellar Blade with a much bigger marketing campaign. There's no excuse for this level of stupidity, but what can we do about it? Maybe we can contact shareholders and have them communicate our issues through them? There's no excuse for this level of incompetence, although I'd personally argue that it's maliciousness considering everything I've talked about. sauce: https://noisypixel.net/xseed-games-ken-berry-interview/ https://archive.ph/N2zJb
>>1107329 This is most SK games, my favorite is Estival and even that is considered a boring and repetitive game. I play it for the characters.
>>1001039 (OP) This hurt to read.
>>1107209 To add more insult to injury.
>>1109496 Why do they hate money? All they had to do was sell happy tits and make Bank. What the fuck?
>>1106131 >>1103239 You're mixing Xseed with Marvelous Xseed is just their localization USA branch that has little to no decision outside said localization. Marvelous is the main company and the one who killed Senran Kagura.
>>1016355 Looks pretty alive to me
>>1115514 I'm not. If Marvelous collapses or decides to downsize XSeed will be on the chopping block.
Do you guys remember this game? It was announced years ago and there hasn't been any word on it since then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QELyGdR9u8A

>>1118033 That trailer was six years ago, and if I remember correctly they shut down the website for it four years ago, shit's deader than dead bro.
>>1119690 What the fuck is Marvelous doing?
(3.95 MB 854x480 Moonlight Peaks.webm)

>>1119820 This.
>>1118033 I forgot all about this what the fuck, why was it discontinued? It looks like the most interesting thing they've made in years.
>>1115514 Right, I get them mixed up in all of this cancer killing vidya games. >>1120033 >comfy farm simulation RPG >that looks worse than rune factory >and looks worse than stardew valley who are these games for
>>1014564 Man, that was fun times. I still have a lot of friends from /senran/. In fact, they're the only consistent online friends I've ever had.

>>1120033 They have Story of Seasons What the fuck is this shit and why?
>>1001039 (OP) It seems like they're trying to move to what they THINK is "conventional" and "will sell", which in the process causes them to kill off literally everything else. They want to be soulless, but ironically, that soullessness is killing them.
>>1120242 They are for toddlers and stupid women who thinks it looks cute because they grew up with trashy looking Barbie dolls instead of anime dolls
>>1120188 No clue. It just dropped off the radar.
>>1079309 It's so funny to see dramafags not even knowing the games to complain about. This time I welcome IDs to avoid some autistic schizo complaining about lack of panties over and over
>>1001146 At least it had gameplay unlike half of these gachas where you just watch the pretty pictures and gamble on boxes. I could see myself falling for the gacha model as long as it's attached to a game that's fun to play.
>>1105778 >>1105865 I say this as a rune factory die-hard since the first game but fuck i hope the series just dies again after how 5 turned out. Please stop battering the corpse of my beloved DS series.
>>1001283 >I also heard that NIKKE is very popular with Korean and Japanese female players, because it's a story about a man who doesn't treat women as objects or dogs but as people, and he is considered a weirdo for thinking like that. Stolen from Girls Frontline, which had the same concept of "player character cares about robot girls that the world hates" years earlier.
>>1001146 >world flipper >flopped They should release it as an off line game. It had some great sprites and decent story.

>>1053007 Koreans are more angry than anything while nips want a new chance Honestly both have been fucked by their own boomers who make everything unnecessary complicated, there is no reason why people should live worse with modern technology and there is no reason for that slave student mentality. My guess is Korean are angrier because female Koreans are actually feminist (while nips women actually like cute girls genre and even made some of the most popular lewd mangas) and the males are also forced to take 2 years of militar service. >But army is good for a war! Honestly? At this point war seems too fake. You only need security to block the menace and make sure your people reproduce. Literally that is all
>>1001277 >The day Manjuu makes Azur Lane but with 3D models, Senran Kagura Will never revive LMAOOOO too bad manju decided to cater to Hoyo modern audience instead by making Azur Promlia as safe as possible.
>>1131382 This pisses me off to no end
This series is gone. But I'm sure it's possible for alternatives to be created.
>>1131123 >and make sure your people reproduce Most nations seem to be unable to manage to do this.
>>1130418 it was a great, simple controls (it's a stupid pinball game) but the mechanics was so autistic you'd virtually need to trial and error your runs in order to perfect it, especially on the RTA event. The window of time you're able to abuse bonuses are very slim, sometimes by the milliseconds. I wish they'd released world flipper as a console game instead, or hell even a premium mobile game. The art and character designs were also really good, too good for a gacha game even.
>>1145166 It had really beautiful furry characters designed by some of the best kemono artists out there.
>>1145166 >it was a great retard award. >>1145176 for me, it's the robots
The tiddyninjas were always Xsneed's most profitable releases. The Farm sims and JRPGMaker games they released are not so much. Tom couldn't stop it every new hire was some young censorious fag. He's in a better place now, anyway.

>>1001282 I would advise you to try Tribe Nine. It's basically a JRPG First with Action Gameplay and an Overworld of a DRPG but with a Gacha tacked onto it. It's selling Gameplay First and Gacha second. You start out with S Rank Characters and can finish the game with the default characters. Plus the Battle Pass and Subscription is inexpensive if you do like it. It's very much a good series that has Story, Gameplay, and Fanservice at the same time. It's very much Danganronpa but with Baseball and Fanservice on top. Also as a personal opinion I do think there will be a day Senran Kagura does come back, but as an Action RPG Gacha, and I would not be surprised because Japan has moved away from Consoles to Mobile Phones first and PC's second. This was not only due to censorship, but also because the shift was happening even before hand when the Fanservice Game Creators realized they did not need to push out 2 games a year with 200$ worth of DLC. Instead they can create a Gacha Live Service and make tons of money be everywhere and even put in more features, Gameplay and Modes, than they could by throwing out a 60$ game once.
>>1137203 Good riddance I say
The thing is that Senran Kagura, after Marvelous' main farming simulators, is Marvelous' biggest draw whether it be game, recognizably or merch sales. Considering economy and marvelous not doing well, it could be something like that.
